Sorting out the compost bays - you will be shocked when you see what we discovered!

This weeks task was to empty and turn the 2 compost heaps on the plot. They are made from pallets and when we checked the temperature seemed pretty dormant.
Once we got the fronts off we could see one of the beds was ready to give us some compost. There was so much life in there! Worms, millipedes, woodlice and so on - absolutely teeming.
Best part was we got a huge amount of great compost which is going to be brilliant for getting the tomatoes and so on in come the spring.
