Tom Russell is truly one of the greatest songwriters going. His insights, his irony, his perceptive sense of human nature and culture is simply phenomenal. This guy is a stand out who deserves far more accolades and appreciation than is the case. He is an American songwriter, singer, cowboy hero.

Absolutely love the Tom Russell Band. I bought Road to Bayamon in the 1980’s and taking the album home on the metro, I sat next to a blind woman. She struck up a conversation and came to find out she was a Tom Russell fan! She mentioned Nanci Griffith to me as well. What are the chances? Very spiritual day.
Severely underrated duo. Russell is a songwriting and performing genius, Hardin is a virtuoso but sadly unknown outside of a tight knit genre

Should be a household name, but he is little known, an indictment of a legendary culture, a culture of range-roving storytellers, lost to meaningless, empty, no-talent tripe.
