Hi abdul. Don't worry about signing the EIF. When the notary interview starts they will unlock the document and you will be able to sign it right there and then.

You can track the progress on your Epic Account. It will say when they have reached out to the uni. You can reach out to your uni at that point in time or earlier if you want to be proactive.
Hi Dr. Wajih In the last step u have mentioned about tracking the progress of the verification by the university. Is it verified electronically or through paper mail? And is it verified by the university or by the medical school? Could you clear this up.
Well see it might be different for everyone depending on how your institution operates. In my case it was my medical colleague that verified it electronically. If you want to know how it is for yourself then it would be worth speaking to an admin person in your university about it.

Dear Dr, I just finished notarycam verification. When I came back to EPIC account and open my credentials, there is no upload options and it showed: you do not have a valid EPIC identification form on file. So I asked from chatbox to Notarycam verifying agent, she asked me to wait for 3 days.

GMC asks for documents containing an exact date. But i'm not a 100% on what epic wants. Try calling them and they should resolve this query fairly quickly.

What you upload depends on what you are trying to get verified and for what purpose. If you are doing this to register with the gmc via the plab route then you only need to upload your medical degree/diploma. It should say on their website what to do incase you have more than one page to your document.

Ah that depends on how you register with the gmc. If you go through plab route then only MBBS degree. Don't worry about signing it. That process will be explained to you when you are on call with the notarycam.

There shouldn't be any problems. The only issue I can imagine is if you send off your verified medical degree to gmc and then aren't able to register within a year then you may have to pay 50 GBP or so to have it resent to them.

Hi Mahwash. As far as I recall after your EIF is notarized you should be able to upload your degree for the verification process. You shouldn't have to worry about the EIF form after your notarycam interview.. Have you now tried uploading your degree?
Very informative. Thank you for uploading it. Did you send documents for verification through regular airmail or courier service to your certificate issuing institute in Pakistan. As I am in the same boat, and need your sincere advice on that.
You don't need Epic verification for either of the exams. You need it for your gmc registration. The verification itself remains valid for lifetime. However depending on when you send over your verified degree to the gmc it may incur some additional costs.

Or only permanent degree is valid? I will receive my final degree next year but I will hopefully pass both the PLABs before that.
One of my friends (from different University of the same state) have been rejected the provisional degree... If my verification is rejected at the 2nd step, do I have to pay 100 USD again for that?
@Charmaine Sayi you just need your pass date of final year exams to book the plab 1 and ielts/oet. There is no need for the degree. You'll need your degree down the line to get your GMC lisence.

i have already verified my credentials through ecfmg for usmle exams before..Do i need to also do this through epic before residency applications?? isnt this a repeat process though?
You still need to create an epic account but once you give them your details from the time you verified for usmle all the documents will be added to your account and you won't have to go through the whole ordeal.
Hey there,my verficstion is already done , and they have mentioned 'report sent'.. but there is no confirmation email from imc yet .should i chose the 'request report ' or not,as they are asking for 100$ !
As far as I remember the GMC didn't send me a confirmation for having received the report either. The only thing to do now would be to complete your registration process with the IMC within a year of having sent them this report. Ofcourse I'm extrapolating from my knowledge about the GMC. Not sure if it's the same for IMC.

I would imagine you would only have to verify your identity once.

Yup. You need to let your parent uni know that you've made an epic request for verification and can they please verify.

Well that depends on what yiu are verifying. For purposes of GMC registration through PLAB route its just your medical degree.

Oh I was in Pakistan when I went through the process. So I was able to sort out things in person.

You don't need Epic verification for either of the exams. You need it for your gmc registration. The verification itself remains valid for lifetime. However depending on when you send over your verified degree to the gmc it may incur some additional costs.

Hello Dr! Thank you for your video. I don’t know if this has been asked before so excuse me if it has, but i think I made a mistake with finishing date and passed dates or issued dates. We use different dates in my country. I have sent an email to EPIC talking about this. Do you think they would allow me to change the dates I have entered? And also I have written MBBS as title but later I have found it Doctor of Medicine in my country (again different systems) and I have talked about this too. I have already paid 130$ so I am anxious right now. I would appreciate your thoughts
As long as you have emailed them they should be able to help you navigate the situation. Don't worry. Hang in there.

Hi. They send your ID in an email with further instructions on how to complete the EIF.

Can I upload my provisional degree certificate issued by the University? Or only permanent degree is valid? I will receive my final degree next year but I will hopefully pass both the PLABs before that.
One of my friends (from different University of the same state) have been rejected the provisional degree... If my verification is rejected at the 2nd step, do I have to pay 100 USD again for that?
Hi! Please be aware that your original degree is needed for EPIC verification. Wait till you have your final one.

@Charmaine Sayi you just need your pass date of final year exams to book the plab 1 and ielts/oet. There is no need for the degree. You'll need your degree down the line to get your GMC lisence.

one more question.. I am graduating from China and am in my final year which is known as pre grad internship… does the UK consider it or I have to apply to UKFPO for internship?
i have already verified my credentials through ecfmg for usmle exams before..Do i need to also do this through epic before residency applications?? isnt this a repeat process though?
You still need to create an epic account but once you give them your details from the time you verified for usmle all the documents will be added to your account and you won't have to go through the whole ordeal.

Hey there,my verficstion is already done , and they have mentioned 'report sent'.. but there is no confirmation email from imc yet .should i chose the 'request report ' or not,as they are asking for 100$ !
As far as I remember the GMC didn't send me a confirmation for having received the report either. The only thing to do now would be to complete your registration process with the IMC within a year of having sent them this report. Ofcourse I'm extrapolating from my knowledge about the GMC. Not sure if it's the same for IMC.
