So this is a video that describes the step by step process I used to get my medical degree EPIC verified for the GMC. Allow me to clarify all the confusion around EPIC verification, EPIC Identification Form, EPIC Physician portal, Notarycam and ECFMG.

Hi abdul. Don't worry about signing the EIF. When the notary interview starts they will unlock the document and you will be able to sign it right there and then.

So for each degree we have to do separate verification and pay separately for each? I have done MBBS and DCH.

Dear Dr, I just finished notarycam verification. When I came back to EPIC account and open my credentials, there is no upload options and it showed: you do not have a valid EPIC identification form on file. So I asked from chatbox to Notarycam verifying agent, she asked me to wait for 3 days.
Followed your advise and got finished with my EPIC Verification. Thank you so much. Love from India 🙂

What does it mean when your EIF is "created" ? Do we need to wait until it says "verified " and then upload the credentials ?

Other than the regular Mailing service, Epic gives an option of Courier Service and charges extra for that, Would you recommend going for that?

I just had one more question and would really appreciate if you answer this for me... Can I send the epic verification report to more than one council, eg AMC and GMC?

Hello Dr Wajih, thank you so much. After logging into notary cam, I always get a blank screen and there is no option to start verification of identity. Does anyone know what to do, and how to rectify this?

Just general questions. Confirm your name, date of birth, etc. Just have your passport with you at the notarycam interview.

If don't have medical license just have degree then? If the university is in another country then what to do and they don't reply email?
Hello i need this to send to norway health system but im also looking for plab as option if norway doesnt accept and planning to give plab in next year.. for that my question is once u send the link to one country registration and if i want to send again . For gmc in 1 year later do i have to repeat the process again or can we send this to 2 countries or get ourself and later send to respective countries.?
Why should I wait to send the epic report to GMC only when giving plab 2 ? Cant I send it two months before my exam ?
You can. No restriction. I chose to do it that way because that's the sweet spot where you can expect to register with the GMC within the next year. If you do it too soon and don't register with the gmc then you end up having to send the gmc the report again which could cost around 50 GBP or so.
Very helpful video, though I have a question- I finished me epic verification of my primary medical degree last year, now I finished MRCPCh degree and I need to verify it again to epic, so do I have to repeat the whole process again means notary cam thing or I can directly upload my degree in my credentials for epic.
I would imagine you would only have to verify your identity once.

In the last step u have mentioned about tracking the progress of the verification by the university. Is it verified electronically or through paper mail? And is it verified by the university or by the medical school? Could you clear this up.
Well see it might be different for everyone depending on how your institution operates. In my case it was my medical colleague that verified it electronically. If you want to know how it is for yourself then it would be worth speaking to an admin person in your university about it.

Hi! I just completed the first stage of the epic verification. I got the mail to wait for 3 days. But I the image I uploaded of my passport doesn't have my address😢 I accidentally uploaded only the first page of my passport!
Will there be a problem? 🙁
First page is fine. Even if they have an objection they will simply ask you to reupload so don't worry.

Hi. They send your ID in an email with further instructions on how to complete the EIF.
And they send your temporary logins in another email. Have you checked all your inboxes including junk?
Does anyone know how is this thing of having the notary worker on camera in order to show the passport and read the numbers ?

You are very welcome. Electronically sign means they will ask you to type in your name during the notarycam interview.

In step 2 of verification, I have uploaded and filled in my ID in the notary cam page, while finally clicking on the "continue" button, why does it say "something went wrong"

Are you using the latest version of chrome? And are you using your laptop? Sometimes it doesn't work on old versions of Web browsers and cell phones
Can we select from our epic account to send the degree to two different authorities AT THE SAME TIME like GMC and AMC ?

You should be able to. But I believe there will be a fee for that.

I'm afraid that's a question you'd have to ask the epic people themselves.
Thank you SO much for this video. How’ long does EPIC review take before they reach out to the university? How long do you suggest we wait until we contact the university to see if they have responded?
You can track the progress on your Epic Account. It will say when they have reached out to the uni. You can reach out to your uni at that point in time or earlier if you want to be proactive.

It's working on my end. Could this be an internet issue? Try using the latest version of chrome when trying to access it.

The uploaded certificate should contain the exact date of passing or it is okay to have only year and month ?
GMC asks for documents containing an exact date. But i'm not a 100% on what epic wants. Try calling them and they should resolve this query fairly quickly.

For the epic verification of your medical degree, you only need the degree.

For me it was 3 days. But from the comments I've noticed it can be a bit longer (5-7 days).

Their website should say what was acceptable form of ID. I only remember passport.

No. Well atleast I didn't have to. Can't say how they will treat every other individual application. But generally no.

There shouldn't be any problems. The only issue I can imagine is if you send off your verified medical degree to gmc and then aren't able to register within a year then you may have to pay 50 GBP or so to have it resent to them.

Doesn't EPIC contact the medical school directly with signed consent form seeking release of information? Why do we need to contact med school unless it is to o track progress of verification?
Yes they will reach out to your med school themselves. However every medical school is different in how soon they respond. In my case a heads up was important to my university because they are quite slow with all this stuff. But essentially you just contact your university to track the progress.

IMPORTANT that you do not have a valid EFIC identification form EIF on file.you must have a valid EIF to upload credentials and request EPIC reports kindly if possible help me in this regard thank you
