1. Instead Of Robotnik Fighting In Act 2, They Sent Robadnik (My Opinion Name) To Fight.
2. Mini-Bosses And The Major Bosses are Now Smarter.
3. In Zone 3, There Is No Flying At All, Just An Underground Battle.
4. Instead Of The Death Egg Robot Fighting, It’s That Mecha Sonic

Gotta give major props to the team for the implementation of the connection cutscene after launch base to mushroom hill (as well as readding Big Arms, though that was more expected to be fair)
Probably the only good thing about Origins, but it makes a huge difference.
Sonic 3 Complete the Romhack also have that, way better experience than what we got.

First off, I didn’t say anything about it already being a thing there, because it's one thing for a fan to readd it. The reimplementation here for the first time in an OFFICIAL version is cool regardless, especially when it also includes the previously unused elements thought to be part of it.
Secondly, I KNOW ABOUT SONIC 3 COMPLETE! I've known about it for years, and you don’t need to butt into any discussion about this game to talk about it, because anyone who cares has already heard it.
yeah im really happy they did. like back in sonic 3 when i fighted the boss big arms. and when sonic 3 and knuckles came out i was hyped and like cool its sonic 3 and knuckles 14 zones. i was at zone 6 thinking i,ll fight big arms and nope you don.t fight him. you just go to mashroom hill. now in this game sonic origins they did it!!!. they put him in zone 6 and then you go to mashroom hill. i love this game. only thing i just did not like was they changed the music for ice cap. that was m favorite track
@@user-_somenerd. yeah i played the rom hack of it to. but i like this game better. sonic 3 complete romhack was fun. i liked that they added big arms in sonic 3&knuckles in the rom hack because in the normal sonic 3&knuckles you can.t fight big arms. only in sonic 3 alone. only thing i just don.t like about origins is they changed the music for ice cap.
Love how they actually removed all the music from Brad Buxer, Bobby Brooks, and "Scirocco" (We all know who THAT really is) but they're all still in the credits, anyway.

What I loved about this fragment was Eggman's unexpected attack on Sonic. If this autoscroll were even longer, it would be super. Even after many years, I realized that the eyes at Eggman station radiate heart, which is why some of the ice platform simply melted. This once again proved the genius of the developers.

That was a bug. It was fixed since Sonic 3 & Knuckles by the way, even tho' the Big Arm was avaliable for Knuckles only.

Did anyone else notice that they fixed the music glitch in angel island act 1? If you exited the second special stage in the original, it would play the act 2 music instead of the act 1 music.

That barrel was the bane of my existence, I only ever discovered the answer by accident. I threw the controller in a fit of rage and walked out.
I returned and for a split second my cat stood on the controller, I witnessed a slight movement on the screen after he pressed up. It took me a short while to figure it out, and I became a legend among my friends who were also stumped by it.
I would go to their house and they would witness me beating the barrel, but I never showed them how it was done, I would put the controller behind my back and watch them try and figure it out.

Story mode should actually include Knuckles campaign from S3&K, as not only happens after Sonic's but it would make sense since Knuckles has the secret routes the player has yet to experience.
17:30 this section is better in the sonic 3 A.I.R. version since those bombs can actually land in front of the player at full speed and you would have to jump to avoid them.
you can change the bombing in the options of 3 A.I.R to have the bombing behind experience.
It's not "better", it's just harder. Y'know, the original is supposed to be a cutscene, and the AIR version only adds a bit of challenge but nothing "better".
And tails finally learns to not get "bomb"arded.

Not a fan of the new instrumentation of the beta music. But in gameplay it's not as jarring, it works with the action on screen. I still vastly prefer the original beta instrumentation.
There are so many youtubers who couldve done a FAR better job for the replacement music than what sega managed.

Has anyone found out a way to replay levels in story mode? (Not the retry mode in the data and rankings section). I want to replay the S3&K levels with hyper sonic, but I did it in story mode and it's a separate game save than the S3&K anniversary mode. Everytime I hit continue in story mode it only let's me play the Doomsday Zone.
I'm really hoping I don't have to go back and replay the whole thing in anniversary mode just to be able to play the levels with the emeralds unlocked like in the original game.
If this is the case than Sega really forgot that people would want that feature after beating story mode and spending all that time to unlock everything.

Second, they finally put the Big Arms boss after fighting the Beam Rocket because it didn’t even showed up in the full lock-on version

Copyright problems. Michael Jackson helped make Carnival Night's and Launch Base's music, while a member from a band called the Jetzons made Ice Cap's music. (Ice Cap sounds very similar to one of their initially unreleased songs, Hard Times) SEGA would - presumably - have to pay both of them to use those songs in this remake.
The music they replaced them with in Origins were the songs that were intended to be originally used before those two got involved, as revealed in an early prototype leak of the game. Before that, the prototype tracks were first used in an early PC port for the game - Sonic & Knuckles Collection - albeit in midi quality.
Well, the big arms boss did still exist in the lock-on version, though only Knuckles actually fought it.

The new music is just missing something. There's an energy that was in the originals that's just not present here.
There was a lot of energy in the OG 1993 prototype tracks, and sadly these newer themes based on them are missing that.

I think sega only meant hyper sonic is non canon and not the rest of the game. Even then, just DON'T collect the super emeralds in the combined version, it's that simple.

The last thing I expected was a shittier version of the S&K invincibility theme.
People complaining about the OST being the worst and I'm just sitting here happy the PC version OST has a non MIDI version I can enjoy now.
They already had non MIDI versions of the songs in the Sonic 3 prototype version and those ones sounded much better than these new remixes.

@@jaywarudo actually the origins tracks are just bad versions of the Sonic 3 PC version's MIDI arrangements of the prototype songs. The PC MIDI files were pretty poorly remixed to sound like mega drive songs, and that's why they sound bad. You'll get mu point when you go listen to the MIDI tracks.

They're older versions of the prototype tracks. The pc version, tried to recreate them with the midi soundfont. And now, many years later. They're being reused in Orgins.

The Carnival Night music is hard to listen to. It sounds like someone came up with it using Fruity Loops.
This is the trash ass MIDI version of the Carnival night song. The original, mega drive version is better than this midi version and the final Sonic 3
@@quanthebronxny3996 Jun Sinoue was actually using the game's original Genesis soundfont to "enhance" the quality. The issue is that he seems to have absolutely no feel for the instrumentation anymore, that's why they stick out like a sore thumb. the original beta tunes didn't need enhancement anyway.
@@IkesDaddelbox exactly the November 1993 tracks needed very little change, maybe add some more effects but other than that they were fine, the only track that needed work was ice cap which sounded nearly identical to Crystal egg zone from sonic 2 8-bit and definitely stuck out compared to the rest imo.
