This ROM Hack takes me back. I really loved it's concept. Though in execution it could've been even better, with Sonic's Scorched Quest there is alot of great stuff. Excellent TAS Shiro, extremely entertaining to watch and was fun experience seeing a TAS of an almost forgotten ROM hack that was quite popular upon release.
Burning Super Sonic is probably gonna be similar to Blaze's regular super form "Burning Blaze", I might be wrong but I think both of their concepts are similar in a way as both forms can control fire at will.
26:09 was my favorite moment. The TAS is so OP'd that the boss's health bar just peaces out way in advance. No need to stick around, it knows how brief this fight will be.
Imagine there a hyper form claled "ultra burned sonic" where hes just red dark but so much faster and have a new max speed. And you have to get 5 big emeralds for it.
That happens to like rom hacks in general; either not enough people to care or... they've found things they want to do more. When Sonic Scorched Quest: Reheated comes out this year, SSQ as a whole would probably explode in popularity again.

This is weird! It seems like the Sonic the Hedgehog (1991), the sonic speed in Sonic CD (1993) and Sonic Mania (2017), but in Sonic Mania (2017), it have the same jump with 2 sonic's!
Y'know, I wonder if the special stages could be further optimized or not. I'm not a speedrunner myself, much less a TAS runner, but I figure there's places where grabbing rings in an earlier section would save time in a later section.
@@PaintoOfficial Terrible idea to make text dark in any circumstance. I don't really mind the font, though I would say the original is more appealing to the eye, but who cares, they're just numbers. However. There was absolutely nothing wrong with plain white numbers, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Customize it all you want but if the change makes it less functional than before, it's a bad change. You're not the only one, I've seen plenty of romhacks that change the font to something impractical and to that I ask why. Why would you do that? Can you not tell that it's hard to read dark text? Add a stage with a dark background and hard becomes impossible. Takes like 2 seconds to even understand how many rings you have, let alone score and time, sheesh.
