Very useful video, thanks a lot. If anyone is reading this and unsure if they should do it themselves, I’ve never touched anything under the bonnet in my life and managed to do this whole thing in 5 minutes with just a socket set, definitely do it yourself!
Where would we be without UA-cam. Personally I would still be scratching my head trying to work out how to get my hand into a space half it's size. Great vid
Great video. My 2010 Corsa meant I had to take the main cover over the spark plugs etc. This pops off (then when putting it back you need to line up the 4 posts into the grommets. I got my hand under to feel the nearest posts. Also the bottom air pipe, I had to disconnect. It comes sideways in from the front of the air box, and is just a push fit. I also didn’t need to disconnect the electric plug, since it had enough slack to move the upper air pipe out of the way, that I pinned back with a screwdriver in a hole. Also I nearly ended up taking the whole headlight mirror out, because I pulled, then twisted the large electrical connect behind the headlight, thinking it was connected to the bulb. It wasn’t this…the bulb itself was next to this, recessed well back. I also had to wiggle other electric cables over the new bulb to get it in place. Mine is a diesel Corsa 1.2.
It’s fiddly, but I managed to change the bulb on my corsa without removing anything.......Thanks for the tip on which way round the bulb goes though, that really helped!
Whoever built my Corsa used the EXACT lengths of pipework, my air box was a total pig to get in and out. However it's all done, excellent video thank you
Managed to get bulb in without stripping it apart, but couldn't get cover on again, so ended up stripping it down like you did. Thanks for posting video mate. 👍
Top tip for getting the lamp out.... Which is a real bugger.... I used a 1.5mm allen key, slipped the short end into the hole of one of the electrical 'legs' then easily pulled it out. My big hands and big fingers didn't have enough room to grip / get purchase otherwise.
Having some troubles removing the bulb. I have access to it but I am now pulling a lot and still won't come out. Any suggestion on how to take it off? Thanks!
@@beardedben836 i’d like a video for the passenger side as well. I Can get the cap off on the back by there’s no way my hands fit in that space.. 😅 do I need to remove the fuse box?
Stupid design, I had a volvo after my corsa and you could literally take the whole headlight unit out by pulling two tabs. You could change the bulb in probably 2-3 mins.
@@beardedben836 so just say the air box is out the way, you then need to unclip the dust cover, as I unclipped it, the thing snapped. So I’ve used duct tape to secure it back on mate.
@@jamesoffwood3214 right I get you has it snapped in half is so yeah duct tape is the way if it hasn't it will clip back into place I can show you if need be pal 😉
Sorry....but the whole purpose of the video was changing the bulb and at this point he met a problem, actually getting the bulb out before putting the new one in!!!
I just changed the bulb before I did the video so why would I change it again.......its helped alot of other people if its not helped you I'm also Sorry that you had to watch it....
Superb video - by far the best on the net for this job. Trust me just follow the steps and it should take 5 min. Thanks Ben - legend !
Your welcome bud nice and easy job 👍

Managed to do it without budging air box, but ur video helped with the positioning and stuff 🙌🏼

Wow you deserve a medal... I struggled with the air box off 😂

Perfect explanation, wouldn't have managed it without this video, thanks!

Excellent video! Saved me having to buy and wait for a Haynes manual, or take the bumper off… thank you so much for sharing your knowledge sir.
Thanks for the video, just replaced the bulb on the driver side, managed to do without removing the air box. If you have smaller hands it's doable.
This was good, getting taught by the dad I never had...cheers
Any chance you could do more of these?

Thought I was going to have to call RAC to change a bloody bulb! Thanks mate. Wouldn’t have worked this out without this vid.
Righty Tighty and Lefty Lucy are so under-rated! Great vid 👍🏻
thank you so much, I made it with your help 💪🏻💪🏻
Good video simple is the other side easy than this one. Cheers

Hi. I followed your guide and was able to change the light. Ty so much and have a nice day
Very Good
Really helpful video! Thanks for that.
Thank you for this video. Tomorrow I'll try again.
Thanks 👍🏼
Big help boss thanks you👍
they are a pain in the arse to get to!!!..good video
Appreciate this knowledge highly. Will attempt it first thing thank you. Subbed
Great video, made changing the bulb simple, my sons corsa doesn't have the air flow cable going to the top hose though, maybe different model?
Brilliant vid thank you
took me 5 mins without removing anything other than the bulb cover and that was doing both sides
When you have big hands like myself it makes it that little bit easier 😆
Passanger side?
Having some troubles removing the bulb. I have access to it but I am now pulling a lot and still won't come out. Any suggestion on how to take it off? Thanks!
I get there is no rotation needed but it does not seem to pop off easily neither!
Hi thanks very much is this a H7 bulb please? Not sure on which bulb to get for my vauxhall Corsa 2015
H7
👍👍👍 great help.
Jesus looks like more effort and wrestling about than having some with the missus! Think I'll take my daughters car to Halfords!!
The videos there to help people, if you feel like you can't do it, happily take it halfords 😁😁
Garages removed bumper on ours and removed headlamp to access it . Messing around with air box can cause engine Management problems
So what holds the bulb in place? I changed the bulb on my daughters car & now it’s failed mot on beam pattern? So guessing the bulb is loose
use angled long nose pliers, put a bit of electrical tape on the grip to stop you pinching the electrical plug too hard and pull
thank you!
Why do car manufacturers make such rubbish designs to make something that's supposed to be fairly easy task into a such a faff of a job
