#Marvel #Morbius #SpiderMan #NoWayHome
I think Black Cat would be perfect right now because of the memory wipe. Spidey is staying away from MJ to protect her, but ends up getting intimate with Black Cat because she's capable of protecting herself
AND, historically, Black cat has been more attracted to spiderman than peter parker which would line up perfectly with where spiderman is at post-memory wipe.
Also with the entire world forgetting Peter Parker he could focus more on being Spider-Man instead of living a double life as Peter Parker especially since Black Cat likes him more when he's being strong and confident as Spider-Man instead of whimpy and nerdy as Peter. Half the movie could be him living his life as Spidey with Black Cat ignoring his boring Peter Parker life seemingly happy before realizing how much he misses MJ and his old life and by the end of the movie make the right choice to go back to his Peter Parker life and try to get MJ to remember him.
Same thing happened in ultimate comics, spidey didn't want his gf to get hurt after gwen died so he dated kitty pride from the xmen for awhile
I think they should bring back Liz to be black cat Ik that’s not how it is from the comics but I think it would work in the mcu
@@mackallen6456 You know....that don't sound half bad.
I'd like to see Chameleon appear using the SHIELD/Black Widow hologram mask. But I really want to see Scorpion show up because I think the suit looks cool.
I was thinking the same thing with the hologram mask
I feel like Sony won't let him be in the MCU because of the Kraven movie. They're trying hard for Spider-verse though.
Yeah I wouldve liked him to do SOMETHING in far from home. Take off a mask pretend to be someone ya know? He was literally just a bus driver. Pretty anti climactic lol
@@Wico90YT he was in far from home?
That would be a great idea... But Sony is debuting the character in the Kraven movie. So there's a 99.9% chance that they're going to fuck both of those characters.
I would love to see Michael Mando back as scorpion, he’s great in Better Call Saul.
He should've been in No Way Home so Spidey had an actual villain of his own not related to Iron Man or elsewhere. Also would've made it a great way to gear the rest up as an outside influence looking in
@@maverickmic ya then we would have actually had a sinister six
He was also great in Far Cry 3.
Hell, how about Bokeem Woodbine back as Shocker. He was great in Fargo. Both guys would be wasted as “generic thugs”.
I would love to see the Spider-Slayers proper. It would be a nice tribute to the 90s television show, since Smythe was such a crucial part of that universe. Maybe pair him up with Fisk?
Yes that would be really great something new and diffrent would be intresting
@@mattiaslarsson5647 it literally wouldn't be something new, it'd be from the 90s cartoon like the comment said 😂😂😂
I feel like the spider slayers would fit into spiderverse
Man wolf is also mentioned in the beginning of Venom as one of the astronauts that find the Symbiotes
The mechanized villains (big wheel, stiltman etc) are very suited for the MCU. They are just suits or specialized tanks.
Might be in armor wars
@@pickedceasar1216
Mother of god. Youre right.
I lowkey really want Big Wheel
“Very SUITed”-I get it!
A lose connection... stilt man had Easter eggs sprinkled through all3 seasons of daredevil.
In NWH Ned wore yellow and blue jacket through out the movie(comic book Corn of Coblin look) and said that he wont become a villain.
This is foreshadowing that Ned Leeds is Corn of Coblin in this Universe
Ah, another episode where James and Mason make poor Matt spend hours trying to track down half remembered obscure comic book references, over and over.
Good work, everybody.
Ya love to see it
This is paid slavery
Or just stuff that they made up like the Punisher wearing a nun outfit
@@modeni_adeokun That’s called work m8
I hope they realise they're creating his super-villain origin story.
i do like the idea in the mcu Spider-Man movies that the minor villains are working with the main villains. Like Tinkerer and Shocker are part of Vultures crew, it seems more believable and a bigger threat. Like if they going to make Rhino a villian in the movies, i dont think he'd work as the main big bad, he'd have to be working for Kingpin.
Rhino for sure needs to be working for someone as a villain, because I don't think he has much character or motivation outside of being a criminal and hating Spider-Man
I completely agree with both of you
Thats why the sinister 6 would have worked so well. Spidey can take any of them alone and probably has already depending on the timeline but together they stand a chance.
"They're kind of a support group for blokes who fell in things and got weird powers."
That...wouldn't be a bad idea for a comic if I'm being honest lol
Also the Chameleon as a throwaway villain who just shows up and Spider-Man dismisses saying that tons of people already can do his schtick seems perfectly in line with the MCU Spider-Man
@@storiesfromtheabyss9808 comicbook Spider-man says stuff like that all the time
Also, everyone should track down Superior Foes of Spider-Man. Beetle is one of the best villains in comics, and she is so angry that nobody seems to care.
YES I love every version of beetle!! Both the male and female version
Is she going out with Robbie now?
@@HYPERHEROIC I thought her and Scott Lang were a thing?
@@ComicsFromScratch it’s in the Spencer ASM run. So more recent I think
She wasn't the female Beetle that Graviton crushed inside her own armor?
I really hope we get Jason Alexander as a live action Corn of Coblin, he would be great!
We're living in a society!
“Corn of Coblin” is something I say to myself at least once a day since that first video
Glad to hear we are finally updating the classic "What are we Westworld today" section of the podcast to "What are we Morbius today" an instant classic that will stick around for sure
We already saw Kraven if you count the purple cloud part of No Way Home
The fans were KRAVEN to see this one, I'M I RIGHT??
@@guilhermeborgesalmeida7866 got ‘em
Always glad to see a Corn-of-Coblin reference!
It feels like chameleon is a skrull that will get left behind after secret invasion. Already established power set and seems like an easy way to tie up a loose end.
So does that mean Chameleon will be a villain in Secret Invasion if Sony allows?
@@IcyDiamond they can just not call him chameleon… skrulls are now a marvel property after they got back the fantastic four ip from fox
What loose end??
I feel if they do this he won't be a main villain then, but could be prime for a B villain.
That is, if they don't just use him in that Kraven movie.
@@extremetoast5723 They are gonna use him for the Kraven movie
I'm so excited for Monthbius that I've been throwing plastic bags in front of my car so I can play "Vampire and Subway" just like my soon to be favorite movie. It's going to be so COOL to know what that scene means in the grander context of the no doubtedly rich Morbius lore.
Hey lads just wanted to let I watched The Losers (and I'm not talking about you two gotemmm) for the first time in preparation for GOG and I thoroughly enjoyed it. You've said a lot of good things about it in the past and I'm so glad I watched it for myself before one of you tear it to pieces (probably Maso, we all know he's the bad boy of the group)
Corn of Coblin is the best running gag in this channel that James and Maso haven’t brought up since its first creation yet the fans are the ones that have kept it alive all this time
“With Money” and the Smile got me. Perfectly timed editing.
Man-Wolf is a weird one. I agree that Raimi probably had no plans to use him, but you'd think would be right up his alley given the horror aspect.
I am livid that I heard "Where there's a drill" and it wasn't followed up with "there's a way."
"A hammer is a backwards drill" wow, we learn something new every day
I was waiting all video for Big Wheel to show up and I wasn't disappointed.
I envy Maso for only have a vague recollection of Screwball.
“There’s a villain called screwball?”
Players of the PlayStation Games get immediate PTSD.
Agreed that we should see more superheroes stopping small street-level crimes. Pick-pockets, bank robbers, purse thieves. I loved that about the Batman Animated series that we did get an idea of what a street-level hero does on an average night.
I was so desperately needing a Corn of Coblin reference and I certainly wasn't disappointed.
It's weird how kemelion wasn't in the Raimi movies, seeing how he's basically dark man!
I bet in preparation for his role, Jared Leto crept into the crew’s homes and sucked their blood
He was a fan of the cartoon, he used his hands to absorb plasma
the whole “reverse drill” convo when you literally just press a button to reverse the direction of the drill bit 😂💀💀
No no no. No no no no no no. Oh dear no. That's just a drill in reverse. A reverse drill would fill in holes and unstrip screws.
Nothing brightens my day like a corn of cobblin appearance
They really need to add Dr.Bong or Asbestos man
Tbf someone like the tinkerer could be the backbone to the sinister 6, like that’s where they all get there tech. Spider-Man might it be able to stop them but tracks down the tinkerer and forces him to spill the beans on how the suits work before making his own gadgets to stop the suits.
This would means lots of villains, not just the sinister six could be used, as smaller villains, such as stilt man, could buy cheaper tech off of the tinkerer meaning Spider-Man would be aware of his existence and foreshadow his much bigger involvement with the sinister six, who’d have vastly superior weapons than some of the 5 minute villains.
This could be an idea for spidey 5 or even the next movie since Spider-Man couldn’t stop the sinister 6, J. Jonah Jameson could further tarnish his name by saying he is in league with the sinister six due to his inability to catch them and could do a public redemption arch sort of thing
Monthbius😂😂😂
Yes everyone celebrates Monthbius
You guys always get me with these things😂 I still laugh unnecessarily hard when I think of "Thrantastic Three" from that spiderman quiz video
Lmao
I thought Mendel Stromm was Norman's former business partner he betrayed, who also created part of the Goblin Formula in the comics. Particularly because there was a gag in a recent comic where he lamented that he became known for the robot shtick when his expertise was in chemical engineering. "Why am I not a bigger deal? I created the GOBLIN!" kind of complaints.
Wouldn't Morth be easier than Monthbius
I can't believe Mason actually referenced the Corn of Coblin. I've only seen that in the comments.
I think we've hammered it into them so much that they actually think it's a running gag instead of something they said once
The editors love him too, don't forget
the real villains were the friends we made along the way... and peer pressure
I would love to see Felicity Jones as Black Cat!
NED! NUF said... but actually Mephisto!
The Vulture was a 'smaller' villain. He only did his crimes for himself/family for personal income. So that box is checked.
Morbius is gonna be the first movie to sell 1 trillion tickets
I really enjoyed the annotations on-screen while James and Mason ranted about Scorpion
I can’t believe you forgot to mention The Rhino when going through all the mainline villains at the beginning. I thought you’d for sure mention him at some point in the video but alas, you did not. The Rhino was my absolute favorite part of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and he was translated from page to screen seamlessly and perfectly. I hope that someday you recognize your mistake and give The Rhino the mention he deserves.
He is one of my favorites as well, and I love how they gave him a mechanized rhino suit like in the Ultimate Marvel version instead of the chemical and radiation treatments and the suit he can't take off like in the Earth-616 comics. Because let's be real, what sounds cooler? A guy wearing a furry suit that makes him a grey Hulk, or a guy in a weaponized mobile tank that can run at you and slam you through buildings while firing missiles?
I kinda prefer the rhino that was in the insomniac spider man games but that’s just me
Loving the big wheel shout out
Most drills nowadays have a reverse setting, thanks high school theater carpentry for this info
That Buss Aldrin stuff happened nearby where i live in POA RS Brazil, it was so great to know that he did it here
Dimitri and Janice were credited as just Dimitri and Janice. The MCU wiki just assumed they are meant to be those villains despite Dimtri and Janice are common names. I don't think they are meant to be those characters (especially Janice).
I might be wrong, but I believe we see Dimitri’s last name at some point in the movie (possibly the part where Peter scans everyone with EDITH) and he is Chameleon. I think you’re right about Janice though
@@anthonycates269 I looked up the scene you are referring to and I can barely see his surname but it is similar so it might be Chameleon (though this is a weird way of using Chameleon).
Yea, Janice I’m sure is just a coincidence. An extremely common name.
I still can't believe they got Michael Mondo aka Vaas from Far Cry 3 to play the scorpion
Every month we ALL celebrate Monthbius
Thank you again boys iv been a long time wack-a-doo (canadian edition) and i love all your works. I just wanted to let you know how greatfull i am to see this vid today as i am goin to see no way home again but on a first date ... My first first date in some time ... Sooooooooo now alll im goim to talk about on the date is all the recycled content of the here vid ! Wish me luck !
Good luck broski, U got this
God luck clap some cheeks
Go get ‘em, Tiger!
If the person you are on a date with isnt impressed by hearing about this video, then they aren't cultured enough for you.
i was going to recommend Stilt man, but maso beat me to it. damn, he’s fast.
10:22 The edit of Kevin feige smiling as mason says “with money” kills me
Monthbius 2023 is about to be crazy
8:00 “We are different men(!)” Honestly, sometimes the simplest things the most funny.
Ah yes the best villain of them all Corn of Coblin
Are you going to do the animated series where he meets morbius for a couple episodes?
There's a reverse drill on every drill. It's a paradox
Any kind of public transport driver? Like a Maso?? James he's in the room!!
I like it when the editors make their presence known.
The return of Corn of Coblin in each spider man movie makes them the ultimate franchise villain
Is it Monthbius already?
Happy Monthbius!
Monthbius? Great, but too short
Yearbius? Incredible, but ends just when things get really good
Centbius? Perfect. A century of Morbius
Man, these guys were ahead of the morbius sweep meme
So Patton Oswald wanted to use stilt man for MODOK, and Marvel denied him..
Patton’s take away was Marvel had plans for using stilt man in a future project...
Now we need the Children of the Corn of Coblin spin off.
Fun fact, Jonah Jameson's Star Wolf also fought CapWolf, remember that time when Captain America was a werewolf?
Werewolf Cap: I can do this all night.
Sam was also a werewolf when he was Captain America, but for even longer. So imagine being chased by a flying werewolf Captain America
I like that you used the Van Helsing werewolf as the thumbnail. And I know that because I've seen that movie probably 200 times.
This is my favorite video because James sounds fucking exhausted and Maso is carrying
“It’s going to be the best” and the graphic 😂
As an arachnophobe I just hope we never get Man-Spider in live action 😬
I forgot Mark Bonanno was in Spiderman. "Heya itsa me, howa bouta somea spaghetti. Oh no Peter, I poopa my pantsa"
JJ Jr should have been venom in the original trilogy just saying.
That’s what Nostalgia Critic said when he reviewed Spider-Man 2
I read a tweet, might have even been a reply to James, being like "These films are like 2004 movies" referring to Venom and Morbius, but it's like, Spider-Man 2 came out then, these are more like 1999's Godzilla.
Starring Nick Tataaaaapolous
Hear me out a Donald Glover mission impossible / ocean 11 style prowler heist movie that ends with him accidentally bringing the spider home that bites Miles Morales 👀👌
It's ridiculous how funny I find "monthbius" and "yearbius" to be
“The month of yearbius” should not have me laughing this hard…
I'm pretty sure it's Rhino you're thinking of with the whole 'can't get out of the suit' thing.
Nah its scorpion that can't get out
Chameleon, Tombstone and Beetle would be cool together in a movie
I think it would make sense if they made chameleon a Skrull since he’s working for Fury/Talos and they can both shapeshift
This has to be one of the best examples of how directors and the people behind these projects were clever enough to include hidden characters in their movies. Also, minor details for sure, but Jackson Brice (the first shocker who got killed, which I hate because I loved the Spectacular Spider-Man Shocker) was also known as Montana in the comics and he was part of a group of Daredevil villains called the Enforcers. And another small detail, Mrs. Warren (Peter's physics teacher in the MCU) is the wife of Miles Warren in the comics, and Miles later becomes the Jackal, another Spider-Man villain, and it is actually Raymond Warren, the brother of Miles, who is Peter's physics teacher in the comics. I also kind of want to see if Big Wheel appears, and maybe either Paste Pot Pete or Lady Stiltman appears, because there is no way that Spider-Man wouldn't laugh at the name alone.
We need Michael Mando. That guy has so much charisma.
FINALLY. Corn of Coblin returns
Morbius one of my favorite Spider villains frenemies
10:20 Brilliant editing.
Finally a Corn of Coblin reference. I was afraid you guys had forgotten him.
THE CORN OF COBLIN
in the middle of watching this video I got a notification on my phone letting me know this video was up. notifications coming in pretty late.
“Corn of Coblin”
THEY SAID THE THING!!! EVERYONE, THEY SAID THE THIIIIIING!!
The cowards actually brought up Corn-of-Coblin again. You earned this like I can arbitrarily decide to or not to give you.
We got that bear man in black window at the prison with red guardian.
Ursa Major
And a Crimson Dynamo reference
Corn of Coblin: it's nice to be recognized
Good edit Matthew
The triumphant return of Corn-of-Coblin!
Big Wheel was considered for one of the Amazing Spider-Man movies, I think it was the second one
Is it bad I actively want to see Mobius fail financially. It's entirely because I don't like Leto because he reminds me of a human ash tray.
Id say a little bad, there are a lot of other people that worked on the film.
@@fullbatteries1335 it's not like they dont get paid if it flops. The only people that lose money is the studio who ponied up the budget.
@@commas1219 you are still wishing for their failure. Already paid or not.
@@fullbatteries1335 I'm wishing for letos failure. For the afformentioned reasons.
Fun fact: Mendel Stromm was the person that made the Green Goblin serum so him being in Spider-Man 1 was not random
I worked with The Tinkerers brother for years and actually had a cook out with their entire family.
The Chernus' are great people (Matt, Michael & their parents).
Matt (not The Tinkerer) moved to LA (from Cleveland) and started a popular food truck (and now resturant) Grillem All.
