What a couple of Cool Cars! Congratulations to you! I had a 65 Beetle with a slider sunroof.. Tan with White Wheels and 4 snow tires. No hubcaps. This was 1978. I was 22... it was so much fun
Wow. Absolutely beautiful! I've always wanted one. I'm 43 and I think I'm finally getting close to the time where I can start collecting a few cars like these. That one is perfect! My older brother had two rougher ones when I was a kid. I loved riding in them. Take care
Have a '57 Sun roof exactly the same color - bought it in '64 for $500 and used as second family car - 5 Earl Scheib paint jobs later, had it stripped completely - not an ounce of rust - kids would never let me sell it since they all grew up in the 'way back'
Like! I’ve got a ‘57, too. Mine used to look just like yours- when it was brand new! Now, mine looks like it sat out in a field for 30 years until I rescued it.
@@bigdaddykane8601 Out in California, when they sit in a field for 30 years, they don’t rust into oblivion, they just kind of “bake into a crisp.” So mine is pretty crispy. It had been stripped of parts, so I’ve been searching out correct pieces. It came with a 1600, but I’m putting together a ‘36 for it instead, for instance. It’ll be complete, correct, and clean when I’m finished. Your’s is a good reference, and a great source of inspiration!
That sounds awesome! It's good to hear you're saving it and restoring it back to stock. These cars are special and getting more and more rare! Good luck on it!
I love your car bro, I'm mega jealous lol ... also wear those black wall tires right out and don't waste any tread - I think the black walls look great too !!!
I have only had 67 and newer, my friend had a 57. Always loved the look of that car. My son and I are working on our 69 Ghia that we saved from the car crusher!👍✌️🛣️
That's awesome you're doing a Ghia with your son! Father and son projects are the best! I like all beetles, I've had a few 70's myself. The only ones I don't care for are the 73 and newer super beetles with the different dash and big windshields.
57? Muito bonito... O último com parabrisa e vigia traseira pequenos... Modelo exportação para os USA, com pisca no lugar das setas. O parachoque com tubos, não sei se são originais...
So the split has a 25 hp engine. There is a big difference between that and the 36 hp that is in the oval. The gearbox in the split is also non synchronized. It's a full crashbox. So double clutching up shifting and down shifting. Basically the oval is easier to drive. But they are both fun.
I had a 57 bug a 62 bug a 59 bus and a 62 bus all from the age of 18 to 24 , now at 73 I want bug again ,looking now for a fixer👌At 16 I borrowed my friends 56 bug the first day I drove and had a head on collision with a Rambler station wagon , broke my wrist and the girl with me hit her head on the windshield . The engine fell out and the car was crushed to the window . Yep, you can survive 🤫
I see the Pennsylvania plate. Hope you don't drive it on salted roads. I live in Pennsylvania and over the years have had three Beetles, a Type 3, and a Dasher. They rusted way too much and replacing the rusty heat exchangers was costly. Beetles used to be everywhere. Operative words are used to be.
Yeah, the road salt here is a killer on cars. I never drive the beetles this time of year. I don't take them out in the rain, let alone the snow and salt. Dry driving only!

Hey, thank you so much! I definitely like your 65 color combination! And these cars are lots of fun.

Oh man, a rag top! That's awesome! Yeah, u can't sell it, it's family!

That's cool! Was it a recent rescue? What are your plans with it?

@@bigdaddykane8601 Thanks for the encouragement! Will have video's as we go along! And yes I also prefer anything prior to 73! ✌️
I subscribed, so looking forward to the video's!
wow dude will we ever see more of that ‘52 split? i’d love to see a drive video on that one, very cool piece of history
What's up, bro! Just look thru my other videos. I have a bunch of the split.
😎 Who knew?? Someday, a '57 investment grade Bug .... Would taunt me on my cordless video-phone-thing

Simply beautiful!Better than new!👏👍
Thank you so much!

すばらしい!
オーバルウィンドウがたまりません^_^
What a jewel! If it were mine I wouldn’t put the white walls on it. It’s perfect just the way it is!
Too late, I did put white walls on it. My opinion, it looks so much better! But thanks for saying it was perfect!
Que sonho de carro.Amo.💯💯💯💯💯💯👏👏👏👏👏
Obrigado

Thank you!
What's it like driving compared to the split? Which one you like better?

@@bigdaddykane8601 Very nice! I just finished a hot-rod 55 oval, but sometimes i wish I had a split.
Cars that never or seldom get driven are great ti look at,and I suppose a good financial investment...but I prefer drivers...myself
Stunning oval, congratulations. The split is beautiful too. Where in PA are you? I am in the Poconos.
Hey, thanks. I'm about 30 mins south of Pittsburgh.
Beautiful car
Thank you!
No Semaphore’s. Is that a US thing ? Euros and my AUS 57 have them.
Yes, no semaphores is the US version. They put the turn signals lower on the front fenders. I think the US versions did away with semaphores in 55.
That’s stunning
Thank you!
Nice!!!! Can you give us an idea of the price range for a car like this?
☹️☹️☹️🥺🥺😢😢😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Que coisa mais linda!
Que sonho ter um desse na garagem!
Eu dormiria lá com eles..

Holy crap! That's nuts! I love these cars, but always looked at them as death traps. And that's cool you're looking for another one!
I actually have a 66 that has the same color as your 57 oval… do you happen to know the name or serial number for that paint color?
Yes, the color is L 331 Horizon Blue.
Awesome! Thank you so much!
LOVE THE BUG!!!
Thank you!
You have yourself an original german machine! Go again and get them! I am on your side !
Thanks, man!

Running board chrome 32mm , is all it needs
Awesome find👍👍
Thanks, bro!
Bro this is my dream car.
How much did you pay for it?
Nice bug , love the wheelhorse too
Thanks. Yeah, I had 4 wheel horses 2 years ago. But took up too much room. Keeping this one, though.
Very clean. 💯👍👍
Thank you!
😢❤🇵🇭
Cool bug 👍
Thanks, bro!
Just subscribed to help out a fellow dubber cheers Andy/U.K. -vwcoco
Funny seeing an oval with no Semaphores😮
So nice
Thank you!
I hope it wasn’t cheap
It wasn't cheap, but less of a price than what I've seen on some other ones for sale that were just restored .
Really nice clean vws! Wish my 62 looked half as good!
Thank you!
