Sometimes it happens that guitarists influence each other, especially if they life in the same household.
So a couple of weeks ago Wolfgang said to me: "I´m working on a new composition...a Milonga..."
"What?...You too?!?"
But I think the end result is really different.

Marianne: Exquisite. :) The following is the best analogy I can make and it is accurate.
Andrew York has made very clear that is compositions and book compilations over the many years were the result of him demanding of himself that the music he composes would be pieces of music that would not only be popular with any audience of the guitar, but technically accessible to and playable by almost any player. He succeeded at that.
So did Maria Linnemann, whose compositions are equally beautiful. And now, you have continued this "trend of excellence". Bravo ! to you. :)

Eine märchenhaft schöne Herbst-Milonga, liebe Marianne! In der Tat ist sie ganz anders Wolfgangs Milonga, wobei ihr beide Melancholie mit Wärme und Zuversicht verwebt und wunderbar mit Licht und Schatten, Leichtigkeit und Schwere spielt und eine große Bandbreite an Empfindungen im Zuhörer auslöst. Das mag ich sehr.
Sie könnten eventuell Schwestern sein, eure Milongas, aber definitiv keine Zwillinge. 😊
Und ihr habt jeweils euren ganz eigenen, unverwechselbaren Stil, der eure Kompositionen direkt aus der Masse herausstechen und erkennen lässt.
Mir gefällt auch das Hauptmotiv in diesem Stück unheimlich gut - ich weiß nicht, ob man das hier so nennt, aber DU weißt bestimmt, was ich meine. Herzliche Grüße! 💕🎶🌻🍂🍃

Grandios! Ich war eigentlich auf der Suche nach einer Version des Milongas von Cardoso und bin durch Zufall hier gelandet.
Da hab ich mir kurzerhand die Noten bei Bergmann Edition gekauft ... und noch ein paar weitere Stücke von Ihnen... klasse.
Nicht so wahnsinnig auf technische Probleme getrimmt aber dennoch so das man sich schon anstrengen muss. Interessant zu spielen und super musikalisch! Sie haben einen neuen Fan. Die restlichen Stücke hol ich mir auch noch!❤

I have listened to "Milonga d´Autunno" many times. You are an excellent guitar composer. "Milonga d´Autunno" is a sad piece of music. Yet, the sheer beauty of "Milonga d´Autunno" brings a big smile to my face. "Milonga d´Autunno" will be added to my répertoire. I can feel your sensitivity as a musician coming through from beginning to end.
The photo in the opening UA-cam clip is also fantastic.
