I have seen a lot of demonstration of Harbor freight solar and show the best one to me and looked at a lot of them and yours was short and sweet. Thank you.
Nice job. I had the same kit. Found out that the solar controller barrel jack is not the best and it melted the jack to the controller. Cut that barrel jack off and run your wires into the actual solar inputs in the controller.
Thanks for your comment, I’m planning to upgrade the controller to epEver mppt and was just now searching for this info, ( to get away from the barrel jack)
I tried this solar panel kit. IMO it wasn’t worth it! I only had it connected to a WiFi router/ modem. And it would die out every other day. I was using a 750 watt inverter. 😢
I use it mainly for the LED lights and charge my phone every now and then. I don't use the lights 6 months out of the year. If I used it constantly I'm sure I'd have the same problem. Thanks man
@@maneysmountain Perfect now yes. I bought that same kit some 10 plus years ago as a 60 watt kit, each panel being 15 watts. Now they sell that same kit as a 100 watt kit! I never got the full 60 watts from them when new, and after about 3 to 4 years, less than 30 watts, and my batteries suffered as they never got fully charged. Also, marine batteries are not true deep cycle batteries and will only last about one or two years max. Anyway, enjoy it all while you can. I do hope you get long life from the kit. Greetings from Jamaica.

Can the controller be out in weather? Can it be exposed to rain? Thanks
I don't think so. I don't have the instructions anymore but It don't look waterproof. Thanks John
These small kits are good for the absolute beginner, but are little more than toys.
Yes. Perfect for what I’m using them for. Lights in the evening
