I love the way you help Elizabeth identify and confront the barriers she wanted to surface, but may have been unconsciously vulnerable to expose the feelings tied to those barriers. You met her at her level with your business acumen and led her to break down those barriers by asking forward thinking questions, all while giving her a safe space to be vulnerable under your wing. This is change. I love this video.
@Alicia Marie, the client identified has a real problem couched in the conversation she thinks is easy to have - getting a Board. She THINKS the board is going to deliver the magic bullet, yet she fought you the whole way as you hit the real root of her problem - getting paid from her business. Working harder never delivers more than working smarter. As an entrepreneur who uses photographers, she is trying to justify the lower prices without working on WHAT the value proposition is. You keep her coming back to it and Elizabeth is resisting it. When I realized that Tiffany's sells a paper clip for $100+ dollars and the price is justified simply by the PERCIEVED value of the Tiffany BRAND - this changed a lot for me. Fear is a magnet. I love how you reframed her comment about financial accountability being her weakness to being her area for growth.

This gave me tingles! Many points, but especially 57-59 mins in, when I think an especially strong realization of truth clearly becomes visible to the client. Very insightful & inspiring. You clearly have a wonderful talent in using your communication and listening skills, and insight/clarity/wisdom, in helping people be able to identify what their root blocks are, and how to move forward. Alicia, I watched this video for a Professional and Executive Coaching course for my Doctorate of Strategic Leadership program. I must say that although I understood the concept of coaching versus consulting, mentoring etc. from our textbook, it really came together for me after watching this session. Thank you for sharing this! I was happy to see that you said Mrs.Beskin was doing well in a recent comment below. She is very knowledgable and business savvy. I am now wondering what an interaction with a client that is new to owning a business or leadership position would be like.
My most recent coaching sample here is a new business owner that volunteered to be coached on camera (not a client ). She had just bought a car wash with her husband. You will notice that I led a bit more because if the knowledge gap . Thanks for the feedback !

Hi Alicia!! i is 1|30 am and for some reason I came across your video- going through my subscribed pages I was drawn to yours and this video. I watched the whole hour as it is obviously something I needed to hear. I am going to bed w a pen a paper under my pillow as I let this session marinate as I sleep. I will write down what comes up in the morning :) A lot of what she said applies to me as well. ( Hope you are well!)

Hi Alicia, I want to know if a business coach also helps with building sales funnels, strategies and other things? 2) What is the duration of entire coaching? Does it take months or weeks?
Coaching is focused on personal development while addressing business issues such as sales systems . My minimum package is 12 sessions but most of my clients stay in coaching for years .
What was Elizabeth’s outcome? Where is she at now?
