- WATCH: NASA Says SpaceX to Return Boeing's Starliner Astronauts from Space Next Year
Two NASA astronauts who flew to the International Space Station in June aboard Boeing's faulty Starliner capsule will need to return to Earth on a SpaceX vehicle early next year, NASA officials said on Saturday, deeming issues with Starliner's propulsion system too risky to carry its first crew home as planned. Veteran NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams, both former military test pilots, became the first crew to ride Starliner on June 5 when they were launched to the ISS for what was expected to be an eight-day test mission. But Starliner's propulsion system suffered a series of glitches in the first 24 hours of its flight to the ISS that has so far kept the astronauts on the station for 79 days as Boeing scrambled to investigate the issues.

Took too long to ask SpaceX for help. To work together to bring them home!
What a bunch of clowns..
That's way too long,....😢
Boeing has turned to trash. I hope the new guy can get it back on track.
This press conference has been painful to watch. Just an endless train of accolades and patting themselves on the back for dedication, perseverance, bla bla bla. I feel like I’m watching the Academy Awards. And after all this talking they don’t address the burning question: why did Starliner launch despite the helium leak being discovered shortly before launch, and what will they change about the decision-making process to avoid that happening again?
Thanks for saving me 2 hours. I watched the live launch they mentioned the leak then but launched anyway. Nobody has answered that question
Oh look !! A group of folks who aren't as good as SpaceX !!
Way to go SpaceX 🙏🏻
Sen Bill Nelson, the NASA administrator sounds like any other U.S. politician spouting a whole lot of "propaganda-speak" to protect "boing-boing" Boeing.
If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck it's a duck. Our Gov't is a little corrupt...
Does this mean the US astronauts will have to eat Russian foods and enjoy the charity of the Russians or some others?
😂 they are fooling people
Is this really an issue ? Duh
Way to go NASA focusing on what is important is pride saving face! They are miffed SpaceX will use a starship to go rescue the stranded astronauts! Thank you Elon Musk SpaceX. 🌎💯🇺🇸👏 1:32:10
These people act like the heads of MOB organizations rather than individuals of business and commerce. The CEO of Boeing is the real Teflon Don - The Bulletproof Don...
scottish rite freemasons..
Food?
Ask china to go get them .They would do it with in a month,
Why would you buy a 'RETURN ' ticket if your flying on ANYTHING BOEING? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Elon looks stressed. Very!!!
UGH!
SB GLOBAL AI NETWORK
Elon is mad doing anything these people will chew him up and spit him out one day
