To answer your question, I appreciate you leaving in the footage of you setting up the second camera - really helps with understanding the layout and position of the culvert exit. Thanks for another great video!
I love that the Internet makes it possible for him to just do this for a living... Because if you asked me if unclogging drain videos would entertain me, it doesn't even sound reasonable... But it rocks!!! Gold Star Post!!
That really is a good rake you're using, Post. Much more effective for clearance than a standard garden rake seems to be. Great clearance! You're really doing great camera angles and shots these days, as well. I don't know if you read some books, or did an online course or something, but the quality of camera placement has improved since a couple years back for sure. I think the continuous shot while you moved cameras around was nice, because it didn't interrupt your verbal flow at all. Really did a nicer job of immersion without the cuts.
I totally agree. There were several times when the camera was being carried, and then set down in the perfect spot where the continuous narration felt very cinematic.
I started watching your channel way back probably 3-4 years ago and at first I thought if you've seen one culvert unclogged then you've seen them all. Boy was I wrong! You've kept me coming back wanting more because you've made each video interesting and I've become addicted. Me, being an old geezer, I don't get out too much anymore so you have become an outlet for me to travel to places I have never seen before. Thanks for all you do. We need to nominate you for an award for the best U.S. Conservationist for outstanding love of animals and the environment. 🏆
I think the Forestry Service should at least give him a per diem to cover expenses . I'm sure the govt. is afraid of being liable for any injury or property damage .
Personally I like the setup and behind the scenes included. I enjoy observing process and appreciate your attention to detail. It doesn't go unnoticed here.
WOW, those pipes are "going like the Clappers" (an English expression meaning FAST, derived from an old alarm clock where you can see the clapper hitting the bell)! Thank you my friend. Pete (Manchester UK)
RIP rake. You did a great job, You literally were helping change the surface of the world. You helped changing the world. You helped to make a change. And even in your last days when you have lost your fourth arm you where supporting Post10 in creating content. What an astonishing Tool! But now... now it's time to rest. You'll never be forgotten. Records of your dutys will endeavor the Ages, inspiring humans all over the world. (Greetings from Germany ;) ) Rest in Peace, rake.
I really appreciate camera two because it lets us see the result of all your hard work getting the pipes open. Watching the water flow from dribbles to full torrents is great. Thanks for sharing.
I just came back from work to eat something and I'm watching you again and I just love it. Love to watch what you are doing , how you explain everything it's just like I'm with you in this beautiful area.
I am really glad to see how long that rake lasted, and I am so glad that I recommended it. Its one of the better tools you've ever had. Great video, Post!
Those 4 tine rakes are OK, though I think he'd have better luck with one that cost more than $7. They make 3 tined rakes that use even heavier gauge rod and are nearly indestructible. I'd suggest he try one of those as well. You don't really need the width as much as simply the power to grab and yank hard.
When you shoved that log thing went sailing! That was cool. And when ur rake broke lol. I enjoy watching all ur videos I watch all ur channels your a very interesting person thanks for being exciting have a good night
Be mindful of those lithium jumper packs. I had one that I loved for 3 years that worked flawlessly but one day (while unplugged) it buldged out and almost exploded and caught fire. If you keep that in your vehicle I would recommend a LiPo fireproof battery case. They're cheap and give you peace of mind.
Another excellent and entertaining video, Post. I am glad that you are mostly using a 3 or 4 prong rake to unplug drain pipes. Much easier on your back. You are a very strong person and it would be easy to injure your lower back pulling on or lifting branches. I look forward to watching you unclog pipes for many years to come! Just take care of yourself physically. You are a professional athlete. Perhaps carry an extra 4 prong rake with you in your truck and a small handsaw. Keep making your videos and I will keep watching.
FYI, those clams are actually freshwater mussels. several are endangered species in the midwest. they come out of the mud after winter and like to sit in fast clear moving water.
True. I live in an area that has several mussel beds. They were building a new bridge across the Mississippi here and had to take a lot of time to assess the mussel beds in the area and collect and relocate the threatened species. There even used to be a large industry near here where they'd harvest hundreds of thousands of mussel shells and punch small circles out of them, drill and polish them, and sell them for buttons before plastic made them obsolete. A huge industry for decades. I still occasionally will find a clam or mussel shell washed ashore with holes cut out of it.

Post 10, thank you for your nature adventure. Since I am unable to venture out myself, it's a pleasure seeing what you do & explaining it all. I don't think I will ever get tired of your outdoor classroom, as I never know what will be awaiting in that bend of the road! From Senoia, GA!
I just love how you take the time to save the wildlife. We have a natural fireplace and I have to inspect each log for about 5 to 10 minutes to make sure the centipedes, spiders, and pill bugs are all saved.
Of all the years I've been watching your channel, Posty, this one comes back over and over, and never fails to impress me. It's in the top 3 best unlocks you've done!
I enjoy the extra footage. I am always looking for plants and wildlife no matter what. It's always interesting to see what you've got going on in your part of the country as compared to ours. And I like it when you find the clams and rehome them. It takes them years to grow that big. Might as well keep them going!
Another good job done ✔ post 10 really working hard there 👏 we got midges mostly around water so I can imagine what it like keep up the good work Andrew south wales uk 👍 👌 😀 🇬🇧
I started playing the post 10 drinking game where you take a swig every time he says 'debris', 'excavator'', 'blasting', 'swamp', 'whirlpool' and 'rake' and now I'm in hospital waiting for a liver transplant
That was beyond interesting. It was fascinating!!! Watching the whirlpools form and start flowing hard was great. The muddy edges will probably green in a couple of weeks if Mr. and Mrs. Beaver and family don't decide to redo their dams.
Oh, you are hooked now. See those whirlpools? that's what finding Post 10 on YT is like, you get sucked in. Enjoy. Just wait till you start going for walks and noticing culverts...

After watching a few of these videos, as someone who comes from a relatively small and fastidiously managed rural environment, it's always amazing to me to think of just how much land in the US must be completely underwater at any one time because of something so simple as a blocked pipe.
My favorite part of watching your videos isn’t just the culvert unclogging but seeing how the different places you visit change over time from the weather, the beavers, etc.
If the USA had at least 1 person per 1,000 people with your work ethic and attitude, we could build back America strong again. Praise for all your hard work!

Somewhere, a beaver watches this video and excitedly calls his friends over "Look guys, we did it, we built stronger than the rake. Soon he'll be left with nothing but a stick and then victory will be ours!" Little did they know you are set out to get yourself a new one right away.
25:20 The beavers in the Piney Woods of East Texas can flood a creek bottom land and kill pines, oaks, and sweet gums. Creates a clearing even when the beaver dams get washed out. You should nickname your broken rake "Frodo" since it has lost one of its "fingers".
And it is fairly precious.
can we pinpoint the moment it broke?
@@AndrewTaylorNintyuk - Probably around 7:40 to when he sees it. Probably broke off when he was raking inside the pipe.
