I almost always play an orc, I like how they’re not the typical “evil by nature” orcs you see in lord of the rings, they’re more of a misunderstood race
They should make a new part of lore in tes, that the empire realise how important the orsimer are and gove them the Wrothgar mountains, dragontails and more and allow them to create a new province called Orsinium or something like Trinimark.
I could see them fighting for the Empire under the promise that they'd receive their own land if they win -- but I can just as easily see the Empire betraying that promise if they _did_ win. Much like happened numerous times with the Native Americans. They are the "Pariah Folk" after all. The eternal curse of the Orcs.
The Orcs have always been my favorite of the playable race in TES, I just find the concept of a warrior race, that are also underdogs to be so compelling. Like the Orcs are simultaneously the strongest and weakest race in Tamriel, The Orcs as a people excel as warrior and smiths and if I had to make a bet against a Orc vs any other race in a fight, my money will always be on the Orc. But despite the Orcs physical prowess, they lack the power and influence due to them not having a home like the other races and instead live in clans all across Tamriel, when they do try to create a true homeland it gets razed to the ground by the other races. But despite how many time the Orcs get knocked down, they always get back up and continue to fight for a place in the Tamriel. But yeah the Orcs are criminally underrated race in the tes games and fandom, It seem like TES 6 is most likely gonna be set in Hammerfell or High Rock and Hammerfell, which both provinces have had a strong Orc presence in the Wrothgarian and Dragontail mountains so hopefully the Orcs can get more shine in TES 6.
I hope so. By the time after Skyrim, the current Orsinium is located in the mountains on the border of Hammerfell and Skyrim. If the game is about Hammerfell vs. the Aldmeri Dominion, I can't imagine the pressure the Redguards would be under from a two-front war. No doubt the Orcs would be trying to occupy parts of Eastern Hammerfell like Craglorn, and maybe Helkori, Totambu and Goldmoor. If there was ever a place in Tamriel for the Orcs to carve out a home, it would be Craglorn. Mountainous, & high-altitude, yet not inhospitable, and actually full of spring water and beautiful stone-crawling greenery. Rugged, but able to sustain much more than just strongholds.
Orsimer are my favorite race. Unlike the Daedra-worshipping Dunmer, the followers of Trinimac were noble, honorable, and courageous. They ultimately got screwed over by a Daedra, Boethiah, whose consumption of Trinimac transformed their race. Long story short, they were good mer who got screwed by a Daedra against their will. Unlike the Dunmer, their "curse" or transformation was through no fault of their own, aside from loyalty to their noble Aedric god Trinimac. Truly the underdog race of Nirn.
I'm many years late but I want to say I appreciate you bloodkin, if you are ever near my stronghold it would be an honour to fight beside you for a time. Malacath watch over you always
Orcs are my favourite and I've barely played other races because of how cool they are, I just wish that they looked better in oblivion like how they look in skyrim.
@@infinitybreak4459 Orcs get too much hate in elder scrolls which kinda the point being the pariah folk but still I feel like Nords (not the racist bigot stormcloak kind) would somewhat get along as mead lovers or more importantly respect as fellow warriors. One think that kinda erked me in Skyrim was the Companions a guild of fighters that allows non nords to join didn’t have an Orc, but I was surprised to see an Orc in a prominent position at the College of Winterhold
@@infinitybreak4459o you really see any orcs outside of strongholds in anything but smithing jobs though? And the occasional bandit leader of course with the librarian and gourmet
"Most humans were considered Bretons or Nords..." ...or Redguards. Interestingly, the people that lived in the Imperial City in Arena were depicted with Redguard sprites, since they didn't establish the native race for the Imperial Province at that point. They also had a weird naming scheme that would be more fitting for monsters than humans. Makes me wonder if there will ever be an in-universe explanation for that, though it's unlikely.
Great video btw orcs aren’t my favourite but they defiantly top 3 and I have a lot of respect for them as a race, also in the vid you were speaking about how all the earlier games happen close to each other during the 4th era which was actually during the 3rd era, Skyrim is the only game so far that has taken place within the 4th era, unless u technically count after the main story of oblivion cause that’s what the 3rd era ends
Orcs are amazing because they are brave and fight with all thier might. Even though I play khajiit I think orc is my second favorite not to mention a nord warrior vs a Orc warrior with them both having same level of skills. The nord will lose because the orcs were born to fight and are more of a warrior race.
I also like playing with Orc characters from time to time. Because of Morrowind, I always name my Orcs with gra- (females; "daughter of") or gro- (males; "son of") prefixes for the lastname since I like the unique naming convention. Shame that did not follow to the subsequent titles. I still do it, though.
Orc NPCs are toughest monsters I have encountered. Took me dozens of hits with a glass claymore (Magebain) to kill one orc in a Dwemor ruin. There were 2 other orcs that had a very limited agro radius, otherwise there is no way I was going to win with a meele character.
I love Orsimer because they have all of the epic Orcish traits without having to be evil aligned. So many fantasy settings I think "ooo Goblins look cool", "Drow are epic" or "Man Orcs are epic" then I find out that the entire race are evil. So when I see a setting where Dark Elves (Dunmer) are just regular people with an odd culture, Goblins are tribal but not evil and Orcs (Orsimer) are a race of noble warriors, I'm game.
Great role play story. An orc war chief as his stronghold destroyed by the Bretons in the middle of the fight he is knocked from a cliff and survives, after seeing the raw power of Breton magic. He goes to Skyrim to join the college of Winterhold but realises he as no true magic abilities so learns enchanting and enchants his Orc armour with magic. So now you have a powerful battle mage with enchanted armour and weapons destroying all in his path with the brute strength of an Orc and the magical abilities of a Altmer. Your story starts by being caught up in a skirmish between imperials and Stormcloakes and the taken to Helgan.
My character Is an orc and It wasnt too hard make him handsome i Just made him a smaller nose a Wide strong jaw a long chin a bit more narrow than the normal orcs Blue eyes and very dark Skinned and its not the the hugliest character my huglyest charcteri Is a dark Elf thath cheeckbones are too wide i made the jaw the widest as possible but he still have a week jawline his head Is too small compared to the body its hugly af
I think orcs in the elder scrolls are way cooler and more interesting than how other fantasy like genres portray them as. also, my personal favorite playable race are the argonians and my favorite lore race in general are the reachmen.
I'm gonna be honest, I think you could use a better script, or if you don't have one at all, start using one. I didn't find this video insightful at all and your information is incomplete and delivered haphazardly. I'd like to hear some of your more complex thoughts and comments about the orcs, not just a half-done info dump.
I made an error, i said Elderscrolls 1 though 4 are set in the 4th era but they are actually set in the 3rd, my bad...
I'll forgive you just this once, but if it happens again I'll scream.
Orcs are my favorite too. Hopefully someday they get a permanent land.
Hope they get revenge on the Redguards and Bretons.
I agree and as for their revenge I hope they take the lands of High Rock and Hammerfell for themselves to make their new nation
Orgrimmar
Yea exterminate the high elfs and give them the sumerset isles
Orsimian must expand & rise.

Wouldn’t mind if the empire had the power to give them half of High Rock and a third of Hammerfell to settle
Orcs and Redguards are literally neck and neck as my favorite race in TES.
Same

My favorite is the red guard because of their long curved swords...
Orcs are also are so op with Berserker rage I love it
I also love orcs. Good to know i'm not the only one
If you have discord, I’d love to talk about a game that my friend made. The outcome for the Orcs is fantastic
the Orcs are my favorite to play and always will be, i hope future Elder Scrolls does more with these hardened bad ass warriors
Orcs be like
"No taxation with out representation!"
Khajits, argonians and orcs are my favorite races in the elder scrolls games.
I am really late, but i am glad people like the Orsimer! my favourite playable race so far is probably every race minus the nord and imperials
Orcs are also my fave!
Nice video! Orcs and Highelfs share my number 1 Spot :)
Orcs and Altmer are a couple of my favorites too 🙂
@@Rebel_Railroad_Productions ah yes i see, a man of culture 😎

Oh crap I did forget about the redguards, also i think the reason your looking for is fact that redguaards come from another kalpa cycle
@Infinity Break don’t worry everyone forgets about the Redguards 😂🤣

Orcs having a major presence in North East Hammerfell is the only reason why I’m looking forward to Elder Scrolls 6

Orc women hot
Orc men hotter
Nice. Greeny gang solidarity. Liked, subbed, etc.
Orcs are probably in the top 3 1st is Altmer 2nd is Dunmer and 3rd is Orc
Personally my favorite race is the Altmer, but Orcs are probably in my top 5, along with Bretons, Nords, and Khajit.
My main in every ES game is a 2H Orc Conjurer, it just doesn't get better than that 💚🐷

Orcs make pretty good warrior husbands/shield brothers
I prefer to play Orcs because they look lit to me lmao also reminds me of Shrek
My fav are khajiit, Orcs, Wood elves, and Nords.
id rather hav an honorable berserker orc by my side than a sellsword imperial or drunk ass nord
i like orcs... they are green... and aren't lizards
I love the Orc in all settings. They are the Fantasy Race that ALWAYS gets the hard end of the Stick. Even in Middle Earth.
