One thing you forgot to mention: The storm scout, at its initial launch, had 100% accuracy. This means that even when you’re hipfiring, if you have your reticle on your opponent, you’ll guarantee to hit that shot. It was pretty busted but it got fixed shortly after.
For me the Reaper Sniper Rifle is easily my favourite weapon in the entire game, especially with these mods: 4x scope, drum mag, angled foregrip, supressor. The reason i prefer the 4x is because i like to use the reaper from ultra long range and the p2x just isnt gonna cut it for some of those 250m snipes i've hit with it

If I can say anything. Boom Sniper with slight tweaks would be top 5, just add both player and structure damage onto it to make a total per shot like 120 dmg, and make it a sorta pressure tool more than anything

I agree with your top 3. Hunter-Bolt sounds so good and aggressive like the Heavy Sniper. I love the treatment Epic did to the Semi-Auto Sniper on OG season. It was one of the best weapons of the season. Was actually harder to find even on green rarity.
The reload is incredibly fast on it plus enemies can't hear where you're shooting from so you basically get 3 or 4 shots off free. Plus, it has the same fast bullet velocity as the Heavy Sniper as both were in C2S2 and got changed at the same time.
Calling the Hunting Rifle "not a sniper rifle" and the Storm Scout a "Semi-Auto" hurts me. While objectively, yeah, removing the scope weakens it's use, and would probably classify it as a marksman rifle to some, it's objective is still distance. Storm Scout is for obvious reasons, more cartridges in the mag does NOT make it "semi-auto."

The Lever-Action and Explosive Repeater aren't snipers because they "use heavy bullets," they're snipers because the game says they are. Ammo type doesn't determine weapon class; if it did, the Boom Bow would be a shotgun and the Tac AR would be an SMG.

I don’t want the 2x scope back in the game. It was better than the 4x, and it didn’t have scope glare. They swapped the 2x to the 2.2x thermal to close the skill gap a little. With all the nerfs the reaper sniper became a very high-skill weapon. If they brought it back, I’d like to see it nerfed to 1.8x and have glare. That way it’s slightly harder to use at range, and is easier to counter.
The automatic sniper was fire on season X. As a sniper rifle it was pretty much dogshit but as an AR it was absolutely beautiful, fair damage and NO BLOOM, I remember i could basically melt people from far away while firing at each other from the top of our 90's towers lmao
14:30 P2X was my favorite sight for the reaper as well, but I think the most important mod on the reaper has to be the angled foregrip to hit those crazy quickscopes. The mag and suppressor mods were just overkill to complement the goodness of sights and angled foregrip
Now I would always take the silenced sniper for one reason: it reloads far faster than the bolt action. That lightning-quick reload made the silenced sniper my sniper of choice for a long time.
New heavy should be #1 as it's stronger than the reaper and it shouldn't get nerfed as it's balanced correctly. Also for people who don't know guns, a DMR is Designated Marksman Rifle, it's not a sniper.
The storm scout and hunter bolt action sniper finally getting they love they deserve, I've been saying the hunter bolt is the best sniper ever since it was buffed, I would've put it above the reaper but if were talking about pre nerf with the p2x it's a different story, even the reaper current reaper with a p2x in my opinion would be ever so slightly better than the hunter bolt, the p2x was just aimbot, simply line up the persons body with the bottom of the triangle and its headshots all day long
You said the sniper is your favorite weapon category. You need to play the Finals if you haven’t already. The sniper only one taps the weakest class but is hit scan. Like 300m shot takes 0.00001 seconds to connect, and it has about 90% no scope accuracy and pretty quick ads
The storm scout is a bolt action sniper since you do a bolt action animation after every shot. Also the semi auto sniper got it's buff back in Chapter 3 season 4 when all snipers got their one shot back
1 thing you forgot to mention with the dragins breath is that the last time it was in the game (C4S2) every sniper in the game had the sniper glow that was added with chapter 4 but they forgot to update the Dragons Breath to have that glow Thus making it slightly better than other snipers since you were waaaayyyy less noticable Idk about current version though
The common bolt at this point is overrated imo. One shot but the reload speed is as slow as the 3 bullet snipers. The Suppressed is way better just for the super quick reload
I got to use the Zapatron once, I got one kill after missing 4 times because I sucked ass on controller but I didn’t win the game I died to fall damage I still have the clip somewhere in my hard drive

I'd personally put the auto sniper up a lot higher because while yes it takes about a second longer to eliminate somebody than a 1 hit sniper, the handling makes up for that, it's much easier to hit a lot of shots especially if someone's moving than a sniper headshot. Plus it's also silenced - it was in the Sneaky Silencers LTM for quite a while.
Am I the only one who remembers how good the Semi Auto Sniper was in like season 8/9 in ch1? It was so good that they had to nerf it into the ground and it wasn’t good again until OG season 😭
The boom sniper rifle should be considered an explosive weapon, not a sniper Imo. Cause the intended use is to blow up your enemies buildings with it, not mainly doing damage. Besides, it shoots clingers which are a throwable explosive.

It has sniper in the name, but it has a completely different purpose than most other snipers and even shoots different projectiles than normal snipers. Thats why its an exotic, a hybrid of 2 weapon classes, although because of the intended use it would be more fitting to consider it an explosive.
Semi-auto pre-buff was a good weapon that people overlooked. Yeah, it didn't have the 200+ dmg hesdshots of the bolt or hunting rifle. But it had really strong damage output against multiple targets, it did like 160 dmg on headshots each. It was great for modes like squads or 50v50
I have some big complaints with this list. Nothing to do with placements, but just excluded items. You included the boom sniper, so why not the crossbow we have right now? I get that it’s not a rifle, but everything is projectile atm so it’s not that different. You included the auto and semi-auto sniper, so idk why you wouldn’t include things like the thermal DMR or Cupid’s crossbow which are similar. Also, I think it would’ve been IMMENSELY funny if you had the mk-7 on the #1 spot, just because it could be used like a sniper. It was like the auto sniper but better in every way.
Tbh I think the semi auto is the best sniper and should be number one and when they buffed it in creative in chapter 3 It was the best sniper it’s so easy to no scope with you slam people builds and get into them easily you can combo it with shotguns you can literally 3 party fights and it gives you opportunities to hit more shots if you missed the others you hitting shots feel so smooth everything about is just amazing and really good and I think the hunters bolt and the reaper is worse because the scope on the semi auto is really good it has 10 bullets instead of 3 and no scopes are better and it build damage is just really good when spamming with the sniper
As a bit of a sniper myself, I disagree with a lot on your list. I have no use for Ch5 weapons and their massive bullet drop. Despite Epic hating the Heavy Sniper and going overboard with the nerfs, it still hits hard. That and the Silenced Bolt Action are the ones I seem to hit SO many snipes with. Storm Scout is up there due to it's added bonus of seeing the next zone. Dragon's Breath and Hunting Rifle are also up there for me. This is subjective and it's all about what feels good to you. These are the snipers I've had the best experience with and hit the most snipes.
While I agree with the terrible bullet drop of CH5 weapons, the reaper sniper was the more usable of the bunch before the nerfs, and even after the nerfs kicks like a mule.

Lever/Repeater: They are snipers, just weaker versions similar to the Hunting Rifle (if there isnt “Sniper” in the name then Hunting Rifle shouldnt be on the list either) but anyways, Boom Sniper: it isnt bad, just isnt exactly what you’d think an exotic Heavy Sniper would be since it has 5 shots and less overall damage, i see it as a Storm Scout without the Scouting and i think it does a decent job, problem is the bullet trajectory, i dont think it’s terrible Automatic Sniper: i just see this as a weird DMR at this point, which obviously is currently outdated like most snipers as the new ones are way easier to hit Heavy Sniper: ill say this every time with the Heavy Sniper, Heavy weapons are “Heavy” aka have a lot of damage in one specific area while being accurate/consistent but slow reload and having both damage and structure damage is a nostalgia reasoning and it showed having both made it super dominant, it’s either one or the other which i say the damage fits it a lot better as we now have the “Heavy Impact Sniper” we can do the opposite with now Ambian Sniper: is a solid choice, basically a Thermal Bolt-Action and frankly was a good item and at the time the Legendary Bolt did 116 so having a thermal scope but 6 less damage wasnt actually bad frankly and the melee could prevent fall damage i think Dragon’s Breath: Fire just needs a rework in general, but the Sniper does indeed fit the Exotic traits, not doing mythic damage while acting like a 6 star weapon (aka a rival to mythics) Suppressed: disagree, it’s only 5 damage below 2 second reload making it extremely good at constant pressure while dealing practically the same damage, imo would need 5 less to be balanced to each other Bolt-Action: was nice to see the Common and frankly i think the old 95/100/105/110/116 damage fit it best, imo would like to see the Common again as it was only in the game for a few days or less Hunting Rifle: other than Uncommon/Rare it’s a solid sniper and is somwhat balanced against the Bolt, would see it more at 84/88/92/96 damage though Storm Scout: solid weapon for sure and the Exotic being always showing the storm should be that mechanic and the regular scout should have a few uses before the scout “dies”, not a bad weapon though i think its damage is too bad compared to the Bolt Heavy Impact Sniper: practically just a better Heavy Sniper, look back on the Heavy sniper for my thoughts though Semi-Auto: i always thought the buff was needed but once it was a Hunter-Bolt with doubled fire rate and 10 shots it was over.. this thing is the best sniper imo and contests with the OG HEAVY in damage and that’s comparing the Rare Semi to the Gold 157 Heavy, this thing is disgusting and i love how it sorta is OP as i loved it when it was underpowered Hunter Bolt-Action: feel like it’s similar to the Suppressed reasoning, does 10 more rather than 5 more damage (like the Bolt) which does make it super good but not better than the Semi-Auto as they do the same damage but half the fire rate and 7 less shots Reaper: after the nerfs (and without the modding) it’s fairly decent, i see it as a Heavy Hunter Bolt so mine is 4.5-4.0 second reload, 101-119 damage and slightly slower fire rate (Uncommon-Legendary), with mods and the newer bullet trajectory it’s a demon compared to the old snipers
I actually think the boom bolt is a sniper, I mean bro, does insane damage, so it can’t be a assault rifle, it can’t be a shotgun, it can’t be a rocket launcher, well kinda but I think it’s the main sniper before the heavy impact was added. I used it all the time as my sniper, sometimes the huntress dmr
I will never forgive them for taking away my beloved P2X optic from the reaper sniper rifle. That was debatably the best optic and I was always hitting headshots with that one
The disrespect you give to the boom sniper is very very undeserved In my experience, it was one of the better weapons, especially in exotics, seeing as at least how I would use. It would be a weapon to take out someone that was already in a fight or was trying to get away
i'm so sad about what epic did to the heavy sniper rifle. It has been redeemed by its younger brother the heavy impact sniper rifle that came out this season.

I was was playing Creative the other say and was surprised by how good the Surpressed Bolt Action Sniper was. It's now my new favorite sniper.

The boom sniper rifle should be considered an explosive weapon, not a sniper Imo. Cause the intended use is to blow up your enemies buildings with it, not mainly doing damage. Besides, it shoots clingers which are a throwable explosive.

It has sniper in the name, but it has a completely different purpose than most other snipers and even shoots different projectiles than normal snipers. Thats why its an exotic, a hybrid of 2 weapon classes, although because of the intended use it would be more fitting to consider it an explosive.

Semi-auto pre-buff was a good weapon that people overlooked. Yeah, it didn't have the 200+ dmg hesdshots of the bolt or hunting rifle. But it had really strong damage output against multiple targets, it did like 160 dmg on headshots each. It was great for modes like squads or 50v50
I have some big complaints with this list. Nothing to do with placements, but just excluded items.
You included the boom sniper, so why not the crossbow we have right now? I get that it’s not a rifle, but everything is projectile atm so it’s not that different.
You included the auto and semi-auto sniper, so idk why you wouldn’t include things like the thermal DMR or Cupid’s crossbow which are similar.
Also, I think it would’ve been IMMENSELY funny if you had the mk-7 on the #1 spot, just because it could be used like a sniper. It was like the auto sniper but better in every way.
Tbh I think the semi auto is the best sniper and should be number one and when they buffed it in creative in chapter 3 It was the best sniper it’s so easy to no scope with you slam people builds and get into them easily you can combo it with shotguns you can literally 3 party fights and it gives you opportunities to hit more shots if you missed the others you hitting shots feel so smooth everything about is just amazing and really good and I think the hunters bolt and the reaper is worse because the scope on the semi auto is really good it has 10 bullets instead of 3 and no scopes are better and it build damage is just really good when spamming with the sniper
As a bit of a sniper myself, I disagree with a lot on your list. I have no use for Ch5 weapons and their massive bullet drop.
Despite Epic hating the Heavy Sniper and going overboard with the nerfs, it still hits hard. That and the Silenced Bolt Action are the ones I seem to hit SO many snipes with. Storm Scout is up there due to it's added bonus of seeing the next zone.
Dragon's Breath and Hunting Rifle are also up there for me.
This is subjective and it's all about what feels good to you.
These are the snipers I've had the best experience with and hit the most snipes.
While I agree with the terrible bullet drop of CH5 weapons, the reaper sniper was the more usable of the bunch before the nerfs, and even after the nerfs kicks like a mule.

Hot take I like the suppressed sniper more than the bolt action because of the reload of time
My personal favourite is the hunting rifle, if they decide to bring it back, then I'm 100% sure they'd let us put attachments on it.
Lever/Repeater: They are snipers, just weaker versions similar to the Hunting Rifle (if there isnt “Sniper” in the name then Hunting Rifle shouldnt be on the list either)
but anyways, Boom Sniper: it isnt bad, just isnt exactly what you’d think an exotic Heavy Sniper would be since it has 5 shots and less overall damage, i see it as a Storm Scout without the Scouting and i think it does a decent job, problem is the bullet trajectory, i dont think it’s terrible
Automatic Sniper: i just see this as a weird DMR at this point, which obviously is currently outdated like most snipers as the new ones are way easier to hit
Heavy Sniper: ill say this every time with the Heavy Sniper, Heavy weapons are “Heavy” aka have a lot of damage in one specific area while being accurate/consistent but slow reload and having both damage and structure damage is a nostalgia reasoning and it showed having both made it super dominant, it’s either one or the other which i say the damage fits it a lot better as we now have the “Heavy Impact Sniper” we can do the opposite with now
Ambian Sniper: is a solid choice, basically a Thermal Bolt-Action and frankly was a good item and at the time the Legendary Bolt did 116 so having a thermal scope but 6 less damage wasnt actually bad frankly and the melee could prevent fall damage i think
Dragon’s Breath: Fire just needs a rework in general, but the Sniper does indeed fit the Exotic traits, not doing mythic damage while acting like a 6 star weapon (aka a rival to mythics)
Suppressed: disagree, it’s only 5 damage below 2 second reload making it extremely good at constant pressure while dealing practically the same damage, imo would need 5 less to be balanced to each other
Bolt-Action: was nice to see the Common and frankly i think the old 95/100/105/110/116 damage fit it best, imo would like to see the Common again as it was only in the game for a few days or less
Hunting Rifle: other than Uncommon/Rare it’s a solid sniper and is somwhat balanced against the Bolt, would see it more at 84/88/92/96 damage though
Storm Scout: solid weapon for sure and the Exotic being always showing the storm should be that mechanic and the regular scout should have a few uses before the scout “dies”, not a bad weapon though i think its damage is too bad compared to the Bolt
Heavy Impact Sniper: practically just a better Heavy Sniper, look back on the Heavy sniper for my thoughts though
Semi-Auto: i always thought the buff was needed but once it was a Hunter-Bolt with doubled fire rate and 10 shots it was over.. this thing is the best sniper imo and contests with the OG HEAVY in damage and that’s comparing the Rare Semi to the Gold 157 Heavy, this thing is disgusting and i love how it sorta is OP as i loved it when it was underpowered
Hunter Bolt-Action: feel like it’s similar to the Suppressed reasoning, does 10 more rather than 5 more damage (like the Bolt) which does make it super good but not better than the Semi-Auto as they do the same damage but half the fire rate and 7 less shots
Reaper: after the nerfs (and without the modding) it’s fairly decent, i see it as a Heavy Hunter Bolt so mine is 4.5-4.0 second reload, 101-119 damage and slightly slower fire rate (Uncommon-Legendary), with mods and the newer bullet trajectory it’s a demon compared to the old snipers

One thing I like about the new snipers is that the scopes look my realistic when you scope in but I hate bullet drop.
