The Lock-On Pistol was definitely a ZB gun, particularly was at its peak of viability in Chapter 5 for the short time it was there. Given how slow the SMG bullet velocity was and people not being used to the system as a whole yet, the Lock-On being good DPS while still remaining hitscan and having the side effect of being a bushcamping counter was extremely valuable. Those who got used to the velocity took the Burst SMG still, but the Lock-On was very solid in Ch5 ZB
I think the problem with the Scoped Revolver is the recoil. Like, it does pretty good damage, but you can't get more than ONE HIT in a row because of the recoil. If you could hit like two or three shots in a row, the Scoped Revolver could MELT PEOPLE.

Lock on pistol actually deserved so much more, let me explain - while ADSing, the weapon has PERFECT accuracy. Every shot will land on the center dot, regardless of if you’re locked onto anyone or not. There’s zero bloom as well, making it genuinely valuable and consistent even outside of that 50 meter range - in ch5s1 FNCS, tons of pros were taking this weapon for surge because of this + the fact it was hitscan, despite it only dealing ~17 damage at max falloff Given you can also ADS while midair, this gives the weapon unreal potential and versatility barring boxfights, ESPECIALLY in zero build - it has the highest hitrate possible (15/15) hence its massive dps of 375 (funny though as it only has 12 bullets in a mag, so theoretically you can unload the whole mag in under a second) If you take the time to charge the bursts then the dps will be way lower. However this is where the fun balance of risk and reward kicks in - you can commit to your own skill and full spray while ADSing and deal genuinely incredible damage, and in moments where you quite literally need to “lock in” for that opening (or closing) damage, you can use that homing fire. Incredibly flexible - the main tragedy this weapon faces is its comically low headshot multiplier of 1.25x, but with how the 4th burst shot is guaranteed to be a headshot, it makes sense especially for a gimmicky weapon like this Is it the best pistol? Absolutely not. (Massive pistol enjoyer here) but i think once you learn some of its quirks beneath the surface, it becomes UNBELEVIABLY valuable in a lot of situations

The reason people actually use this is missed by him in the video. The reason it's good is because it has infinite range, zero bloom, and it's hitscan. Hitscan plus infinite range is sup powerful if you have good aim. When aiming, it has the smallest reticle.

For the marksman pistol I’d say the body needs to be higher since you only have six bullets and 25 per shot the body isn’t gonna save your life when your counting on that headshot and having no luck (I propose the six shooter having a remake)

The Lock on Pistol is insane for 2 reasons: - Dealing with flying targets, if anyone tires to get away, just pull it out and charge for a 50-60 quick damage to finish the fight - The weapon CAN in fact be fired without locking in, and it's perfectly accurate 100% of the time, and the fact that it is the only scoped gun that can be scoped mid-air is also good for shockwaving and using it on the middle of your trajectory. The Lock On Pistol is really good I wish it came back on Reload I love it
If you factor in the Conductor Hand Cannon, the Mammoth pistol becomes entirely redundant minus it being hit-scan. The Conductor Hand Cannon has eight shots, faster reload, better head shot damage (185>173), & more body shot damage (103>99). Only issue is projectiles, but it also allows you to move while aiming with the optic. But there’s other nuances like better hip fire accuracy, & so on. But since you ranked the weapons as a whole excluding rarity minus Exotics, it makes sense.

I just got introduced to the mammoth pistol this season and basically watch this video to see where it was placed , combining two mammoths and a pump shotgun may be the best combo I’ve ever seen . Shot switch x3 always does the job .

I would argue the mythic deagle from this season is even better than the mammoth pistol. It has higher damage and a total of 8 bullets in the chamber, which makes it simply better than the mammoth.
@@Voic64 it all comes down to preference in the end. Though the deagle already has a almost no bullet drop and a very fast projectile speed. You choose which one you like better.
The main problem with the 6 shooter is that the infantry rifle beats it every way. They are both long range accurate weapons that reward skill but can still be useful close range, but IR has a bigger mag, unlimited first shot accuracy, double the body shot and less damage falloff
17:42 props for showing a closet cheater for background footage, this guy at times randomly starts to ads through terrain, and has inhuman tracking at times, has been exposed for it multiple times and banned if I'm not wrong. edit: I might be thinking of someone else but I just remember this guy's face for being scummy.
man i was a BEAST with the silenced pistol, whenever me and my duo from chapter 1 through 3 would do practice before matches in creative, he BEGGED me no to use the silenced, i would just hit only headshots with the thing, i suffered the nerf from 16 to 12 bullets
people mainly say the lock on was the best because of chapter 5 i believe as it was the only gun with no bullet drop at the time so you could most easily tag people from far away for storm surge as it was by far the most reliable non sniper for mid to long range at the time
I love using pistols because they feel so nice to use, but i just cant because its way better for fights to have an assualt rifle or smg. (In the season im writing this there is 1 pistol that is viable, but theres lots more things you HAVE to carry this season so it doesnt usually work out)
I'm curious where the monarch pistol ranks. 130 headshot and 70 body is pretty solid. I would put it 6-5 around my amazing ranger pistol, that I think is better than most SMGs in Chapter 5. Speed mag Ranger reloads in less than a second. Insane.
I’d argue that the Shadow Tracker is better then the Tac Pistol because they both have the same fire rate and damage, but you get the extra perks with the shadow tracker because it’s silenced and it marks people, but that’s just my opinion. Also I think it looks cooler 😎
Two of my favorite pistols are the ranger and the tactical pistol. I usually took them over an smg or an ar as I loved their accuracy and damage. I have been using the mammoth pistol more because of reload and I like it now but I am still not that good with it. Also the ranger shotgun with the mamoth pistol in reload zero build goes crazy.
I usually have some sort of disagreement with these lists but i honestly could not have said this better myself so many ppl think that hand canon beats out mammoth and this is such a good list.
tbh in comp the lock-on pistol was so good for surge because anyone who was rotating would get blasted for 90 in seconds also for the ranger to not be top five at least is crazy work Edit: The Flint Knock is mostly a troll weapon and because ppl usually only pick it up for the boost in the air so u can trickshot I believe it shouldn't be rated that high
13:20 hey there i see you're talking about the lock on pistol but there is a slight mistake, you can actually still use the pistol normally if you spam the trigger and at first it didn't have a good bloom pattern but they actually buffed it later when it came back in i believe the chapter 4 season 3 i think (or season 4 i don't really remember) and it has 100% accuracy when ADS with a firerate super high meaning you could probably do like 200-0 to someone in like a second without even waiting for the whole lock on thing, which i think should be quite notable for it to be put higher in my opinion. Also another thing this gun has that i believe literally no other gun in the whole game has, you can actually still ads while mid air. Otherwise i feel like the ranking is pretty interesting and i do agree as a certified pistol lover (Sorry for the wall of text btw)
The hand cannon is by far the best. Unless you hit a headshot it does mammoth pistol/flint knock damage with 8 bullets in the mag. You could also make an argument that the shadow tracker/tactical pistol is the best though
Tactical is definitely number one by far the most nastiest pistol. He didn’t lie it was better than argue at all ARs that season as well as in general. Even from distance I shredded kids.

I actually use the ranger pistol as my mid range weapon (as a replacement for my AR or SMG) because it feels better to use for me (especially the recoil)
i think you account for zero build, some of the weapons shine better when the enemy cant build. Especially the hop rock duals. The lock on is def the best pistol in zero build, it was really solid killing someone that was low and started to run away with an movement item. Also you don even have to lock on to people the weapon is completely hit scan.
The lock on pistol is for sure a top 5 pistol at least. You glossed over some of the major upsides of the pistol and also got the requirement to lock on wrong. The pistol can be fired without a lock on and is 100% accurate and hitscan while ADS. Also you are able to ads while jumping with 0 penalty. Some of the best uses for it was shockwaving towards an opponent and landing insane damage during that push and often finish up with a shotgun cleanly.
never really gave the mammoth pistol a chance, generally i dont run pistols to be honest. but of the pistols i have tried in br i defenitly think the tac is great. though i will say that i have a strange fondness of the sidearm pistol. it was in all of Ch3 if memory serves me right. and that chapter was my first chapter in fortnight. i remeber for the longest time not paying it any mind becasue the hammer AR was in the game, so i didnt need a pistol or a spray weapon. but one day i came across a gold sidearm and decided to give it a chance. i was blown away at the range i could use this pistol at. personally if any pistol of this list comes back, i hope its the side arm. nothing crazy like the mammoth or tracker, just something you know will do its job whenever you need it to. sometimes simple is all you need.

The main problem with the 6 shooter is that the infantry rifle beats it every way. They are both long range accurate weapons that reward skill but can still be useful close range, but IR has a bigger mag, unlimited first shot accuracy, double the body shot and less damage falloff

17:42 props for showing a closet cheater for background footage, this guy at times randomly starts to ads through terrain, and has inhuman tracking at times, has been exposed for it multiple times and banned if I'm not wrong.

Ranger pistol is so underrated, its always on my inventory, my favorite gun from chapter 5 besides the gatekeeper shotty
man i was a BEAST with the silenced pistol, whenever me and my duo from chapter 1 through 3 would do practice before matches in creative, he BEGGED me no to use the silenced, i would just hit only headshots with the thing, i suffered the nerf from 16 to 12 bullets
people mainly say the lock on was the best because of chapter 5 i believe as it was the only gun with no bullet drop at the time so you could most easily tag people from far away for storm surge as it was by far the most reliable non sniper for mid to long range at the time
I love using pistols because they feel so nice to use, but i just cant because its way better for fights to have an assualt rifle or smg. (In the season im writing this there is 1 pistol that is viable, but theres lots more things you HAVE to carry this season so it doesnt usually work out)
Revolver being in the top 10 is respectable. Still to this day on of my favorite weapons ever in fort
I'm curious where the monarch pistol ranks. 130 headshot and 70 body is pretty solid. I would put it 6-5 around my amazing ranger pistol, that I think is better than most SMGs in Chapter 5. Speed mag Ranger reloads in less than a second. Insane.

I’d argue that the Shadow Tracker is better then the Tac Pistol because they both have the same fire rate and damage, but you get the extra perks with the shadow tracker because it’s silenced and it marks people, but that’s just my opinion. Also I think it looks cooler 😎

Two of my favorite pistols are the ranger and the tactical pistol. I usually took them over an smg or an ar as I loved their accuracy and damage. I have been using the mammoth pistol more because of reload and I like it now but I am still not that good with it. Also the ranger shotgun with the mamoth pistol in reload zero build goes crazy.
I usually have some sort of disagreement with these lists but i honestly could not have said this better myself so many ppl think that hand canon beats out mammoth and this is such a good list.

As a Zero Build player, the lock on pistol was op, I honestly think it is a top 5 weapon for me.
tbh in comp the lock-on pistol was so good for surge because anyone who was rotating would get blasted for 90 in seconds also for the ranger to not be top five at least is crazy work
Edit: The Flint Knock is mostly a troll weapon and because ppl usually only pick it up for the boost in the air so u can trickshot I believe it shouldn't be rated that high
The silenced pistol is really underrated especially in zero build
13:20 hey there i see you're talking about the lock on pistol but there is a slight mistake, you can actually still use the pistol normally if you spam the trigger and at first it didn't have a good bloom pattern but they actually buffed it later when it came back in i believe the chapter 4 season 3 i think (or season 4 i don't really remember) and it has 100% accuracy when ADS with a firerate super high meaning you could probably do like 200-0 to someone in like a second without even waiting for the whole lock on thing, which i think should be quite notable for it to be put higher in my opinion.
Also another thing this gun has that i believe literally no other gun in the whole game has, you can actually still ads while mid air.
Otherwise i feel like the ranking is pretty interesting and i do agree as a certified pistol lover

The scoped revolver was the first ever gun in the game which damege isn’t lower when hitting far away.

The hand cannon is by far the best. Unless you hit a headshot it does mammoth pistol/flint knock damage with 8 bullets in the mag. You could also make an argument that the shadow tracker/tactical pistol is the best though

Tactical is definitely number one by far the most nastiest pistol. He didn’t lie it was better than argue at all ARs that season as well as in general. Even from distance I shredded kids.

I prefer the common-rare because it just looks more like a classic old-fashioned pistol
I actually use the ranger pistol as my mid range weapon (as a replacement for my AR or SMG) because it feels better to use for me (especially the recoil)

i think you account for zero build, some of the weapons shine better when the enemy cant build. Especially the hop rock duals. The lock on is def the best pistol in zero build, it was really solid killing someone that was low and started to run away with an movement item. Also you don even have to lock on to people the weapon is completely hit scan.

The lock on pistol is for sure a top 5 pistol at least. You glossed over some of the major upsides of the pistol and also got the requirement to lock on wrong. The pistol can be fired without a lock on and is 100% accurate and hitscan while ADS. Also you are able to ads while jumping with 0 penalty. Some of the best uses for it was shockwaving towards an opponent and landing insane damage during that push and often finish up with a shotgun cleanly.
Now i like a lot of weapons that are not favoured by the community, but i just never picked up a primal pistol.

never really gave the mammoth pistol a chance, generally i dont run pistols to be honest. but of the pistols i have tried in br i defenitly think the tac is great. though i will say that i have a strange fondness of the sidearm pistol. it was in all of Ch3 if memory serves me right. and that chapter was my first chapter in fortnight. i remeber for the longest time not paying it any mind becasue the hammer AR was in the game, so i didnt need a pistol or a spray weapon. but one day i came across a gold sidearm and decided to give it a chance. i was blown away at the range i could use this pistol at. personally if any pistol of this list comes back, i hope its the side arm. nothing crazy like the mammoth or tracker, just something you know will do its job whenever you need it to. sometimes simple is all you need.
