Three years after escaping the clutches of Eveline and the Baker family in Dulvey, Ethan and Mia have moved to Europe to start a new life and raise their newborn daughter Rosemary. However, one night, Chris Redfield and a team of soldiers raid their home, murder Mia, and abduct Ethan and Rosemary. Ethan loses consciousness and later wakes up next to a crashed transport truck, with all of the guards dead. A confused Ethan wanders into a nearby village that is under attack by an army of highly aggressive and mutated wolf-like creatures known as Lycans. Ethan helplessly watches the surviving villagers be massacred by the Lycans before being captured and confronted by the village deity, Mother Miranda, and her lords Alcina Dimitrescu, Donna Beneviento, Salvatore Moreau, and Karl Heisenberg.
Upon escaping his captors, he ventures into Dimitrescu's castle to find Rosemary, where he evades and eliminates Dimitrescu and her daughters with the help of local merchant The Duke. However, Ethan instead discovers a flask containing Rosemary's head. Duke explains that Mother Miranda had Rosemary separated into four different flasks for a special ritual. However, it is possible to revive Rosemary if Ethan can recover the three other flasks from Beneviento, Moreau, and Heisenberg. Determined to save Rosemary, Ethan eliminates Beneviento and Moreau and recovers the flasks they possess. However, he also learns that Chris is present in the village for unknown reasons.
Ethan confronts Heisenberg in his factory, where he plans a rebellion against Miranda. He refuses to give up his flask and attacks him when Ethan refuses his offer to use Rosemary to kill Miranda. Ethan encounters Chris again and angrily confronts him over Mia's death. Chris reveals that the "Mia" he killed was a shapeshifting Miranda posing as her to kidnap Rosemary, as Miranda has the same mold-like power as Eveline. Chris attempted to kill Miranda to protect Ethan, but failed to realize Miranda had faked her death and escaped, taking Rosemary and crashing the truck transporting Ethan. As Chris destroys Heisenberg's factory, Ethan takes control of a makeshift tank to fight and ultimately defeat Heisenberg. Miranda then arrives, boasting that she plans to take Rosemary as her own daughter before killing Ethan by ripping his heart out.
Witnessing Ethan's death, Chris leads his special forces squad to assault Miranda and rescue Rosemary. At the same time, a BSAA assault force arrives to suppress Miranda. Chris heads to a cave underneath the village, where he finds the Megamycete, the source of the mold that birthed Eveline and granted Miranda her powers. He plants a bomb on the Megamycete and proceeds deeper into the caves where he finds Miranda's lab. Chris discovers that Miranda began experimenting with the Mutamycete mold over a century ago, having seemingly gained immortality with the mold, in hopes of reviving her daughter Eva, who succumbed to the Spanish flu. She experimented on the villagers in hopes to find a host for Eva, with the failed subjects resulting in the Lycans, the four lords, and Eveline. She ultimately found a suitable host with Rosemary due to her special abilities inherited from Ethan and Mia. Miranda also mentored Ozwell E. Spencer, who would go on to found the Umbrella Corporation. Chris finds and rescues the imprisoned Mia.
Ethan revives after finding out that his infection by the mold from the events in Dulvey enabled him to have regenerative powers. The Duke rescues and transports Ethan to the ritual site, where he battles and defeats Miranda and rescues Rosemary. His body begins to fail as his regenerative powers could no longer keep up with his injuries. He tells Chris to escape the village with Rosemary and shares one last goodbye with her. He sacrifices himself to detonate the bomb planted in the Megamycete, destroying it, himself, and the village. As Mia mourns the loss of Ethan, Chris discovers that the BSAA soldiers sent to the village were organic bioweapons. Seeking answers, Chris orders his squad to head for the BSAA's European headquarters.
Years later, a teenaged Rosemary visits Ethan's grave before being called away for a mission on behalf of an undisclosed organization.

I really think that this scene should have given the players an option to be with or against Heisenberg, similar to RE7 where you had to pick either Mia or Zoe.
That was a really dumb choice though. There’s was a clear good decision and stupid decision in it, and one of them made players miss out on story content without replacing it with someone else.
I would still tkinke it would be nice to have a choice. maby they could have just send ethan down to train ore something
The thing is, is that if we teamed up with Heisinberg the game would be way less scary.
There should be somekind of petition so Ethan can choose to team up with Heisenberg or not.

Best scene in the whole game IMO. Heisenberg was severely underutilized.
I totally loved heisenberg scenes but I think the old lady had some good scenes loved the way she spoke.

I agree completely- Heisenberg is the coolest RE character in a very long time and he's very quickly gone. I would have loved to have seen more of him during the game
This was so unfathomably stupid. Everyone in the village has been trying to murder Ethan this entire time, including Heisenberg. Then Heisenberg tells Ethan to put the gun away and sit on a chair and he just DOES.

There are 2 options:
1. As soon as you and him kill Miranda he double crosses you and kills you & keeps Rose for her powers.
2. You and Heisenberg bring Rose to Miranda, and the moment you arrive they just kill ya without hesitation. I mean Heisenberg was her favourite "child-thing", and I think that was for a reason.
@@cs3k3 Heisenberg literally wanted to destroy her because she used him as an experiment, and in her eyes he wasn't good enough. Plus, Ethan denied Heisenberg's offer because he didn't want Rose to become a weapon... and then Rose became a weapon after she was handed over to Chris. She has snipers trained on her position at all times.

Ethan definitely would not have been able to take Miranda without an army. Heisenberg had one ready to go, the perfect lycan killing machines, enough firepower (literally, flames) to burn away the megamycete and hit that demented cult leader where it hurts. Pity we couldn't have seen that civil war. I love it when villains fight one another.
Happily for Ethan he had an army in reserve; Chris and his associated enormous UN-sanctioned military outfit, the BSAA. So he managed.
Also Ethan: Takes down Mother Miranda with a revolver in a single shot

I can completely understand why Ethan didn’t accept the deal. I mean what father would have if someone said they were going to use your baby as A WEAPON. I think Heisenberg could have phrased his intentions a bit better. Maybe Ethan would have at least considered it then.
Exactly what I was thinking too. A better conversation and Ethan would've helped him maybe. But they're not the most stable people so it's fair that they weren't able to collaborate.

Then again, if Ethan doesn't take "Deranged Magneto's" offer and destroy Mother Miranda here and now, she'll still come after Ethan and Rosemary.
Think about it, the whole Factory section could've been avoided if Ethan didn't sit on the chair next to the hatch. He could've easily moved the chair to other part of the room. He would've never met the Sturm nor the mechanical soldiers.

Heisenberg IS trying to weaponize his daughter, but Ethan could've absolutely played along and have Heisenberg and Miranda clash, giving him better odds to get out with Rose.

It's hilarious that neither Heisenberg explains, nor Ethan asks, how were they supposed to "use" Rose powers to kill Miranda. Like, Ethan just assumes the worst, but considering his daughter was essentially dead at that point already, he could have at least asked Heisenberg to explain his plan.
Heisenberg was low-key the only thing helping me through benveintos part I just wanted to get to his part. Literally from the first second I saw him and heard his voice he was my favorite. I wish we could a gotten more of best character fr fr I legitimately wanted to help him.

Ethan doesn't completely trust Heisenberg, but he feels he has no other choice. They set off towards the weapon, which Heisenberg keeps in a massive hangar. Inside the hangar, there's a colossal robot with four legs and two arms.
"This is it," Heisenberg proudly states. "This is my Magnum Opus. A perfect war machine I designed and built. But it's not complete yet. It's missing something."
"What is it?" Ethan asks.
"The heart," Heisenberg replies. "A heart capable of controlling and powering this marvel. A heart filled with life and strength. A heart like your daughter's."
Heisenberg leads Ethan and Rose to the robot's chest, where a glass capsule is located.
"This is where your daughter needs to go," Heisenberg says. "Just for a few minutes. Meanwhile, I'll connect the wires and electrodes."
Ethan hesitates. He doesn't want to let go of Rose.
"Come on," Heisenberg urges. "Don't worry; she'll be fine. This is the only way we can save her and ourselves."
Ethan eventually agrees. He gently places Rose in the glass capsule and kisses her forehead.
"I love you, sweetheart," he whispers. "I'll be back for you in no time."
Heisenberg closes the glass capsule and begins working on the robot. Ethan watches as his daughter falls asleep, and the robot's heart starts to beat.
"We're ready," Heisenberg says. "Now we just need to deal with Miranda."
Heisenberg sits in the robot's cockpit, and Ethan joins him.
"Are you ready?" Heisenberg asks.
"Yes," Ethan replies.
"Then let's go," Heisenberg says, starting the robot.
The robot charges out of the hangar, heading toward Miranda's castle. Along the way, they encounter some lycans and mutants, but the robot easily dispatches them. Ethan and Heisenberg grow closer as they fight side by side.
"You know, you're not such a bad guy," Heisenberg says.
"You neither," Ethan responds.
"Maybe we could even be friends," Heisenberg suggests.
"Maybe," Ethan says.
They finally reach Miranda's castle, where the woman is waiting for them. Miranda is furious that Heisenberg has betrayed her and that Ethan is still alive. She tries to stop them with the power of the mold, but the robot is immune. A massive battle ensues between the robot and Miranda, with her transforming into various forms, but none can match the robot's power. Finally, the robot crushes Miranda's head and destroys the mold.
The battle is over. Ethan and Heisenberg exit the robot and go to Rose. The girl wakes up from the glass capsule and happily embraces her father.
"Daddy!" Rose exclaims.
"Rose!" Ethan exclaims. "You're safe!"
Ethan takes Rose out of the glass capsule and hugs her. Then he turns to Heisenberg.
"Thank you," he says. "Thank you for helping us."
"It's nothing," Heisenberg replies. "I also thank you for trusting me."
Ethan and Heisenberg shake hands as old friends. Then Ethan picks up Rose and heads home. Heisenberg watches them go with a smile.
"Goodbye, Ethan," he says to himself. "Goodbye, Rose. I hope you'll be happy."
Father and daughter walk into the sunset and disappear into the distance. The robot remains amid the ruins of the castle, serving as a memorial to their heroic victory.
Damn, I literally read this whole thing in their voices. If only this were the actual ending. Hell I think the only thing making this better might be Heisenberg sacrificing himself for Ethan and his daughter in the end, possibly even faking his death so he can make a surprise appearance in future games

I made a point in a few similar videos that Newbon was right about the DLC where you can choose to help Heisenberg. Capcom really missed out on not making that a DLC. Think of how much revenue that would have drawn in.

I don't know why but i felt like Karl was trying to manipulate Ethan, like imagine if Ethan would have accepted his offer and later on Miranda and Karl would have ganged up against Ethan and killed him and then kept Rose for her powers so at the same time I think Ethan made a right choice by not taking risks of accepting that offer (cause Miranda mentioned in the game that Karl was his fav child)
Having a choice at this situation would have made more sense compared to picking either Mia or Zoe. Then again Ethan is being asked to turn his daughter into a weapon for a guy who he barely knows and cares for.
Like in RE7 we got a choice to save 2 people on ending wasn’t cannon and the other was I so wish we could do the same here
