Maybe she doesn't have the best voice, but she's the best Christine. While other actresses are older and with a more mature voices, she perfectly represents the innocence and youth of the character.
This song hits hard. I lost my own father as a thirteen year old girl. I always wish for just one more day so I can tell him how much I love him and to have a video/ vocal recording of his voice saying I love you. I have pictures of him but I have nothing left of his voice and it hurts so much.
This song reminds me of my foster father who died of cancer a few years ago without me knowing. We were really close until my mom won the custody battle. I still wonder what would've happened if I grew up still in his custody. Would my life of turned out better, would I have had a happy life. Or would I at pat be able to see my only father figure again before he died?

I've never seen this movie nor the Stage Musical on Broadway or anything...But Rossum who was like 17 When this movie was filmed BLEW It Outta the park...Lord Andrew Webber got a LOT of shit for persuading Schumacher to cast Emmy.
