Bhaiya, I am from wbut(a state govt. College). Branch is electronics vlsi design and technology. We're the first batch in this branch. What should be expected package on /off campus? Is this ece specialised branch or electrical?

EVDT is a subset of the Electronics branch. You may expect above 18+ LPA if product based Companies visit your college (by 2027) and 10+ LPA for service based Companies.

Yes, I have okay reviews for THAPAR. Their placement cell work quite well so On-Campus opportunities would be there. You need to be well versed in all required skills. That's it !

It's still October end .....You can start preparation asap and even if you get 600+ (General) score- There would be good chances for a top college vlsi.

      Also, Just one more thing
Focus on Network Theory, Digital electronics, Analog electronics and other important subjects for 1 mark question.
Sometimes, if luck favours then you may get good score by just preparing basics. Since you have very less time for gate-2024 so you may think of this smart way.
Although, You are already going for a drop so better to give a smart try and maybe, it can save a year for you.
      As,
M.Tech VLSI from top colleges is the best option to land in core electronics jobs currently.

You should start by applying for intern roles in service, product based Companies.
Make your resume aligned with JD before applying. It would be easier to get a full time offer once you have industry exposure
