I absolutely respect and appreciate the fact that you are not loading the pans with gold but instead, you are giving us a genuine depiction of what's actually found. So many videos are questionable these days, it's refreshing to see someone get real life results for a change.
I make these videos not only for entertainment but also for a personal archive of what I have done. So yeah, messing with the results would just be messing with myself. No need for that.
Born and raised in Pennsylvania common lived here 80% of my life, we have property in the Tunkhannock region Wyoming / Bradford County ....... All you're going to find on the bottom of this river is a bunch of contaminated Sh💩T, junky rusty cars, occasional human remains here and there, and a buttload of dead fish from all the damage the mining industry has done over the last couple hundred years😂😂😂😂
I have lived in Tunkhanock for around 8yrs while I worked at PandG and I have fished the Suskie from Laceyville to Falls over those years and not one person I ever met talked about gold in that river. Monster channel cats and carp but never gold. I lived on Tioga Street and a few blocks from riverside park. Getting a kick out of seeing a town I no longer live in and I love on UA-cam. Good luck with your gold panning and Thanks for your video of an old town I miss dearly
Oh Yes The Susquehanna. The grossest moving body of water. Fun to metal detect the banks from Pittston to Wilkes-Barre. All sorts of madness is in those waters.
There's a lot of metal in the Susquehanna, lead, copper, zinc, nickel, iron, tin, gold and silver..... And above all else carbon. Locals may think it's dirty, and it is but it's historical. Enjoy it.
My grandfather used to tell me come back in the 1930s and 40s when he was a young lad working on his father's Plainsville Farm, They spend their lunch break swimming in the Susquehanna River and every morning around 11:00 a.m. the then Pittston Hospital with dump all of their human Hospital waste into the river 🤭 so he would see tonsils, gallbladders, amputated limbs, you name it, come floating down the river as they would be out there swimming 🤢🤮🤮🤮
I grew up waterfront on the Susquehanna in Hallstead. You mentioning that smell brought flashbacks of great times!!! I tried panning a creek upstream of Tunkhannock and found of all things, shreds of stranded copper wire. A friend walking the riverbank found a blasting cap. With all the quarries in the area that explained where the wire came from.
Nice vids in PA. I drive that bridge many times a week. We have two small creeks on our property that dump into the creek you were in in your 11 minute vid 8 days ago. We do have flour gold in our one creek for sure as we have panned in. Keep up the local vids they are great!
Live along the Susquehanna river a little south of there near Pittston. One fun fact I recently learned that kinda blew my mind, The Susquehanna river is like the 3rd oldest river in the world!
In NC i used small screen ,placed white towel in middle of stream with rocks on corners. Over a foot deep. When i screened above towel ruby dust collected all over it. Rolled it up ,rinsed out in 5 gallon bucket. Heavies fall ,light stuff floats away. Gems ,gold and other metals drop out immediately. Good luck
Yeah, that's Riverside Park. I was down there recently when the water was way down. That bedrock is I good fishing spot. We see lots of people on that bedrock in the summer.
I lived in NEPA for 13 years (Wyalusing). You need to read up on the glacial ressession. Glacial Drift gold is bigger and was dropped by receeding glaciers, I did more detecting than any thing else.Shoe buckles, buttons are the usual finds. Colonial residents stashed their money to pay the Kings Taxes. Mostly bartering was done for needed items.I did find a musket ball (around 70 caliber.). A lot of old basements to be detected. don't forget to detect the walls too.
Research where old yard apple tree grew that you could see from bedroom ,kitchen and living room . They buried money under apple trees! Old out houses ,people lost or tossed !
That picture you have up @ 8:59 after that they actually grow wings and fly 😳😳 I call them “clippers” because of the clipper on the front lol I love to turn rocks over and catching them and crawfish for fishing! Best bait for river fishing!
I had a camper by the susquehanna in Wyalusing Pa! Just north of where you are! There was an old telephone pole that was loose and I would shake that out ole side to side and watch the night crawlers come up from the ground from the vibration lol
I grew up in Forty Fort right along that beautiful river. I remember just hucking rocks being kids and my brother yelling to me, so i go over and he says "i guess this is why they tell us not to swim in the river", there is a pipe with sewage, shit, tampons, and u would occasionally here a toilet flush. I dont know how many houses were hooked up to it butnit was eye opening to say the least. This was late 80s.
Try the convergence of Peters Creek & Puddle Duck Creek in Peach Bottom PA. That's in the very southern part of Lancaster County. The gold there is mostly fine but also pin shaped bits. It comes from decaying granite. Parking is pretty easy and close to the convergence, which is near a small bridge. Bring a sluice box if you have one, as the water flow and Creek depth is conducive to this method.
@AndrewKazmierski Yes. Just off of Peach Bottom Rd. There are easy ways down the bank near the little bridge to the creek directly by the parking area there.
I’ve got property outside Tunkhannock and have driven by that spot countless times. Been thinking of trying some prospecting up there and this gives me hope.
I live 10 mins from there and got some panning equipment this week. Could be fun :). I have a place up in northern pa with 260 yards of creek front and waterfalls. Could be really good panning there.
@nathanfisher4687 it don't surprise me there's gold in the susquehanna River. It's the oldest river in PA or possibly the USA. I can't remember witch. Growing up fishing all along the river ive seen some really cool old stuff. The hydro plant in yorkhaven is amazing to walk around an check out.
Up in white haven by hickory run state park if you walk down the mountain to the railroad tracks and walk the tracks you will run into a crystal quartz mine , and they are pretty clear and beautiful points!! Good luck on your adventures.
I know exactly where you're at, Dandy Mart is to the ledt of the bridge and P&G plant is to the right. My family is from that area and my grandfather has always said theres gold down there...a massive nugget was found there m, in that exact spot some years ago. Awesome video! Great finds
I could show you some decent Pa spots; I don't dig the Susquehanna River itself, ( too much dead And Stinky stuff), but I do dig the tributaries 👀‼️more Gold in PA than you Think 🤔‼️( and, yes, that was a Helgramite)👌
A little north of my stomping grounds, but not super far. There are a few areas near the MD line that supposedly have some decent gold in them. I'm fairly new to this but I always carry my detector, carrot, and panning stuff with me. Nice find on the garnet too, I've been keeping my eye out for them, from all the research I have done, they are pretty plentiful SE PA around Delaware and Chester Co. Stay safe out there, and good luck!
My neighbor's dad used to pan on the Susquehanna River not far from where I'm at, a little north of Columbia. We talked about going out but unfortunately, he passed away.
Thank you for your informational videos. My favorite are the yard sales mainly because we were always going to yard sales with mom. I miss seeing little Timber in your videos. 🙃
Used to live in Tunkhannock right next to the river down from where he is but i was told you have to go more up north on the river to find the good stuff
Yes on the glacial maps there are more areas north that show more gold deposits. As far as gold concentration, you'd have to check by doing some prospecting.
Hey that was a nice shot throwing the strainer and landing it right in the bucket I saw that just before changed to a different clip love watching you pan and stuff I live in northern Michigan and always wonder if there's gold in the rivers or streams
@@Klesh Oh by the way I've been a long time watcher of your channel i've learned a lot from you matter of fact you'll get a kick out of this i'm building my own gold sluice box out of some aluminum paint trays the aluminum bucket screens for roller pans and I bought a kitchen carpet that'll be like my miners moss it's going to be pretty cool and it'll be all collapsible and fit in a backpack

An old jeweler friend here in PA had a section of private land that she would pan on and the gold she collected went into the jewelry she made. Some that was collected was added into castings and other collections were used for electroplating.
Hey there, I'm from york county, the 4 counties bordering PA/MD line have natural gold coming out of the ground. Lancaster, York, Adams and Franklin counties. I'm a member of a prospecting club in York county and we lease a property with a gold bearing creek running through it. There's definitely gold in PA, especially in the lower counties. Our club meets every 2nd Saturday of the month to talk and prospect. I'd take as a guest if you were available. Let me know and maybe we can make it happen.

@@Klesh did you walk down the roadway by the Comfort Inn , the pathway is right a cross from there , people go fishing there , have you seen my UA-cam Short video of some of the bed rock there , look for this video in my short feed , BEDROCK ON THE SUSQUEHANNA RIVER , i will try to post the link to it .
And that bedrock happens to be on an inside bend 😉
There’s gold in them thar hills !
Enjoy your content.
Most accessable panning location ever! Did you by chance grab some cons to pan out at home? 😎
No I didn't everything was done on the river
Great panning job. I think it's time for you to walk through a car wash now. Hey, better safe then infected! 😮😳🤪😒
Good idea
that is a really rugged looking vehicle
It gets me from A to B no problem
I'm 10 blocks from the susquehanna in Wilkes-Barre
I cross that bridge all the time.
Yah I'm not far from area my self few miles
nice guitar in the back round i play 2
Awesome 👍 I'm no good at playing, but I build these guitars. You can see the build process on my other channel kleshguitars if you're interested
I play bass… we should jam. Start a band called Gold Diggrz
I see ppl fishing all the time over there. must be a trail down to the river.
It's a road that goes down to the water. It's a cool place
So, if there was gold found in this area, what was the biggest catch? (Area record)
awesome
Regulations? We don't need no stinking regulations 😂😂.
An old jeweler friend here in PA had a section of private land that she would pan on and the gold she collected went into the jewelry she made. Some that was collected was added into castings and other collections were used for electroplating.
There’s some nice nuggets in PA . I found a few just walking a stream . One was the size of a golf ball stuck next to a big rock
Congratulations, that would be a record size nugget in PA
I highly doubt that
Hey there, I'm from york county, the 4 counties bordering PA/MD line have natural gold coming out of the ground.
Thanks for the invite 👍 I live in Colorado but visit PA a couple times a year
Shane you should do a planning video with @danhurd
It's always a great time hanging out with Dan! He's invited me back to BC anytime.
@@Klesh I saw that you had been up there right after I posted the comment 🤣 it's fun watching the different ways of panning
