    Great show B, this should be an annual event. Really enjoy hearing from everyone's personal choice to balance out the expert opinions in the shoot out. For me, this year I chose a S90c for our living room and a 85" QN900C for my man cave, got a clean panel and loving it. Thanks to all on this channel for the content.

    Just got my Samsung 77 inch S95C installed yesterday on an exchange of a LG G3 77 inch , due to ongoing issues and so far so good. The G3 was definitely brighter but the S95C I see more detail and color pop . Wasn’t expecting my journey to end with the S95C. Amazing video, B! "Best TV" is so subjective and dependant on use case so this video is a refreshing take from some of the best in the biz! Of course the A95L is technically/specs the "best" but for my use case I went with the S95c 77" for my new theater room and it is gorgeous. I like the ability to turn off ABL in the service menu which both Sony and LG (starting this year) have blocked. I also prefer to have the option to change the picture ratio if we don't want to see black bars, which Sony also won't allow. Every one has their own use case! Looking forward to your CES coverage!

    Favorite TV is definitely the Sony A80L or even last years A80K.
    I stopped chasing brighter (Samsung) and started focusing more on image quality and motion.
    Sony A80L is phenomenal, motion, color and overall image quality. Regular cable programming looks fantastic and lower quality shows look so much better.
    Sony truly is one of the best. Usually Costco or Bis has an end of year sale to clear out models, best time to buy and save money on these premium Oleds

    It's very difficult recommending the TCL S5 98". I would like to try it and currently own a Sony X90l 85". The Sony is a great all round tv (especially for normal cable and sling channels). There are no real comparable reviews on the S5, and we have no idea what the upscaling will be like, especially on aforementioned channels. We also do not know how bright it gets in HDR.

X93L has very low native contrast like 2150:1 . It has weird Soft look to it . N U8K 2023 has 7500:1 native contrast . U8k 75” looks way more Crisp close up . @2023_Tv_buying well in this situation, I did have the U8H 65-inch last year and it last a year until two accidents one the U-Haul box hit the top right corner of the screen and started making flickering but stop flickering which is still watchable and then the second accident is when Mom pinched the panel when moving it and made it completely blank so I had to toss it in the trash if it wasn't for the second accident the first accident is workable but the TV is still watchable and this is always worth keeping your old TV just in case we have a 2009 32 inch Insignia 1080p TV you may not like the Sony what is perfectly understandable I may like it because Sony's new TVs going to have a new backlight system that digital Trend talked about but we'll have to wait and see I might go with the Hisense U8K model the same 65 inch because the 75-inch uses a different type of panel. Like you said, you tweak the TV to your liking. Now I wonder if you did have the Sony, you would have tweaked it the same way, and I'm sure you would have liked it too, just a thought.

  • @eagleclaww
    @eagleclaww 5 місяців тому +1

    From watching a lot of youtubers and researching(not been in stores), I think the s90c is overrated. It has a better panel but there are many sacrifices: bad processing and upscaling, bad os, heavy tv combined with a deep yet narrow stand, more burn in risk, over saturated colors. LG C3 seems like a better overall TV. If you want the better panel with a stand without those issues it's the A95L(although some claim it can struggle with motion, and it's very expensive), or wall mounted G3. I was going to get the G3 77 inch but don't think I can use the supplied mount since my studs are spaced 45cm apart, meaning I can only hit the stud on one side on the dry wall. So I will wait for CES and get the C3 on sale, or the C4 in a year. A80L isn't as bright and also much more expensive in my country.

      The first 3 are significantly Inferior than the Last 2. Is the TCL MQLED80 the MINI LED that is called QM8 in USA? If that is true then that will be like a toss between that n Hisense U8kQ. U8K has the best speakers , built in subwoofer . 4 more speakers around tv its true immersive experience.

      That last 2 should look a bit better even than Samsung QN95C. So dont even bother with first 2 . Then def skip the 3rd one. Because LG gave up on mini LED this year. They are very undrelming . Pretty much the lowest sale in mini led sector . Their Mini LEd always have this werid GREEN fish tank water green yellow tint .

      @@davidandersson2673 u wont be able to find anything Sony in that category. The Hisense/ TCL Flagship every year compete with LG/SAMSGUNG/SONY Flagship (including their OLEDs) .
      They are THAT good. In fact that because SONY LG -(in markeing) they aggressively promote OLED, which ppl happy to pay 2X price for it. They purposely make the LED little bit worse/washed out, little bit but NOT too bad Bloooming…..nice but missing something. So they are VERY OVER priced. For WHAT u get.
      The U8KQ n TCL Qm8/c845/mled80 LOOK even Better than SAMSUNG flagship 2023 QN95C. They are in creditable. U cant beat that. I PREFER Hisense because they Have more Samsung Luminance n Vibrancy. Cuz TCL has more SONY ish cool tone. Looking tinny bit more Pestle shade on everything . But THAT is ONLY noticable if u have HAD premium Samsung or Hisense, or SHARP LED> I would have suggested SHARP Xled but they are bit over priced for 65”.

I needed a new TV at the time, it was between the QM8 and the U8K, but went with the QM8 cause of all the praise (almost like THIS should be the TV of the year) and because it was more available at the time. Now the QM8 isn't on the list? I'm not 100% on the other reviewers, BUT I know FOMO was pushing the QM8 a lot at the time.

      Yeah if u have the 5 level budget get it. IF yr previous tv is like 5 yr more years old, ANY f them wil be MAJOR GREAT experience ! :) 😊😊😊 its like cars, Previus panel. What brand/model/year matters the most. Towards U7 or u8.
      The 8 will have better Chip set, memory, local dimming, just everying fine toned, that on paper it’s hard to express. BUT. Yes BUT if u happen to like had generic Tv before ,,,the U7 or S5 will be like GREAT experience.
      It’s up to “oh i love it so much , wish i put in extra $1k” so thats the stressful part. Some ppl dont care, som ppl will thought they wont care till they REally Wish throw in the $1k 1 yr later.

LESS than 1% ppl buy BMW will buy their convertibale $100000 car” thoes show TV SHOW cars are for display. To 2X charger the LOW, mid tier ppl to pay INSANE money for the “all right qualiy. So when ppl BRAG about SONY or BMW , they are already mostly brag about a TV or CAR they dont own. IN FACt SONY is false advertising using flagship to lure ppl to buy 2nd 3rd 4th tier with 2-3Xprice. So they will be bored of it n do IT AGAIN LURED by future Flagship that they will NOT buy happily early upgrade.. thats why SONY purposely make flagship too big (x95K) or too expensive. So they make sure most ppl do NOT own flagship but to admire it. But MOST ppl own SONY do NOT have the TRUE sony experience . By illusion. “

    • @Yoga_Tv_buying
      @Yoga_Tv_buying 5 місяців тому

      Yeah cuz if ppl buy their flagship, they will NOT need to upgrade, also they PLAN to NOT upgrade for a few yrs due to its “so pricey”. So low tier/mid range dont sell. N next year again, most ppl wont buy mid range n low tier. Cuz their mid range n low are significantly lesser than flagship. Since flagship are more costly to make. They do NOT want most ppl own flagship ,,,they want u keep buying 1 -2 -3 tier downs or further n upgrade 2x earlier , double revenue. Hisense, tcl are Debunking their skechy business model. Thats why they H8te on thoes honest brands :)

    Based on Rtings's measurements and my criteria, the Sony Bravia 85-inch XR85X90CL was the perfect sweetspot for me in that it balanced performance, size, and price. The Hisense U8K and TCL QM8 either have less adjustability when playing Dolby Vision or other Dolby Vision playback issues. Also, I would rather have Full Array Local Dimming's few dimming zones, put up with the blooming, and preserve shadow detail in dark scenes. As far as 2024 is concerned, I'll be checking in on how things progress, but in order for me to sell my X90CL used so I can upgrade to a 2024 model, the improvements would have to be significant, such as almost twice the sustained fullscreen brightness, better SDR color saturation without forcing the display into BT.2020, etc.. Right now, I'm contemplating whether to use its internal sound system for better sound placement, continue using my existing 7.1 system with the sound below the display, or somehow raise my speakers closer to the display.
