it's a funny business, i'm a 73 year old guy in new zealand and you don't know me at all, but i watch you every week and am getting to know you and i wouldn't keep watching if i didn't enjoy the 2 of you [as well as the work]. so thank you
Great progress on everything you’ve done so far, you’re getting closer every day. Each task you accomplish is a step towards getting into the water and enjoying all your hard. Supporting you all the way to the finish. You’ll get there. Thank you for putting together this video with updates on what you have done and a great plan for the coming months ahead. Will look forward to every video you post.
Don't burn yourselves out. If you need to take breaks from youtube just take time out. Your audience will understand. One of my favourite channels just shut down due to burnout. Please don't go the same way. All in all, great communication from you guys, loving your work and your videos. ❤
You guys are doing an amazing job absolutely incredible. How the boat looked back when you got it to now WOW,,,,, You both have really really done a lot of hard work and still have a lot to do but it will all be worth it at the end. Keep up the good work and don’t stop sharing and don’t stop making UA-cam videos. The videos are really really appreciated I can’t tell you just how much your videos mean to us all. Thanks guys 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
yeah great re-cap of all your hard work - Seabird looks amazing you have done an amazing job well done love your vlogs we work on our narrowboat fit out when we arent working - its a slow journey but we are loving every minute 👍
I've watched your whole Journey with the seabird in a few days... So much has Changed.. you've worked so hard and should be extremely proud (i know you are, she looks beautiful), at the beginning Stuart Seemed very stressed and didn't get very involved with the videos, now he makes my husband and I laugh out loud with his dry sense of humour and one liners.. Marina is a very beautiful person.. but over time seen a real human side to her, and that even though she's full of smiles, it's a difficult process and it's not always 'Rainbows'.. We think you're both lovely people and can't wait to see the inside progress. Sending you positivity xx
Watched every episode. Nice review to remind how much has been done. Still daunting tasks ahead. Engine install and getting aligned will probably drive you all nuts till all is good. I think after that, all work will be like walking down hill. Great work! One of my favorite channels.
I am 77 in NZ and watch you and similar channels to live my 2nd (imaginary) youth. I did have a friend who went sailing in the 70s, while I was busy raising kids. He was sunk off Australia after hitting a container at night which quenched any sailing aspirations. Incidents like this shape how a life story develops despite grand plans. The real message is to pursue your dreams and sail Seabird into your future! Good luck and I will be here watching and enjoying your adventure.
I had my doubts when I first started watching, but my giddy aunt you’ve done some great work, here’s to watching you do more brilliance over the next few months. Thankyou for your time and the entertainment. 👍😎👍
Terrific video guys. Marina, you in particular, are a very good presenter but both you and Stu make the story so interesting. Sure there is lots of work to do but you have made really solid progress so far and by doing the job properly you won't have to re do anything. Good luck to you both. For me your weekly videos are my favourite watch first thing of a Saturday morning in Melbourne, Australia.
Thanks for the recap on your progress. You two are absolutely amazing. The progress is overwhelming. Stay focused and keep smiling. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.
I really enjoyed the tour of your project boat and seeing the progress you have made. I have followed every week but didn't realize all the work you have accomplished. I do miss you and Stuart digging in the bins like you used to do. Take your time and enjoy your life together, you compliment each other and make a lovely couple. I wish you lots of happiness and I am looking forward to many more very interesting and entertaining videos. Thank you for some great videos.
such an amazing video this week! thank you! I look forward to them every friday after i get home from work! Seabird has a new life ahead of it thanks to your love being poured into it. But always remember to take some time away from it for your love for each other also. Oh, and Stewert can act silly any time he wants! LOL I love it when you two add some fun to the project! Anyway, I just wanted to say I love watching your progress, and remember, there is no such thing as absolute perfection, only happy with it! Cheers till next week!
You guys have come so far and you are smashin' it. It's going to be great when it is finished Take your time, enjoy the journey, keep supporting each other and little by little that dream you have will get closer and closer.
What a great update - thank you for recapping on all the work you've done and listing the forward plan. I wish I still had your level of energy and enthusiasm - harness it now, but also take time to be you and reflect on the successes achieved so far - including before Seabird, which was prep for now. Stay safe, stay strong and reach out for the day you raise the mainsail - you've got this - keep going!
I have enjoyed watching you two do a fantastic rebuild to make seabird into a beautiful home ,have a break we all need one from Maryborough QLD Australia
Seabird looks beautiful. You should be proud of yourselves. Your accomplishments are heroic. Its easy to get frustrated doingvan overhaul, but you both really never gave up. I love watching your progress. You are endearing and funny and inctrdibly hard workers. Bravo.
You both are one of my favorite boat channels don't burn yourselves out take a break now and then we're not going anywhere. Love this project although I would've personally did the deck first make it water tight first but that's just me, you both are doing a wonderful job keep up the good work.
I love what you guys are doing, don’t sell yourselves short…. What you have done is just amazing, and mores to the point you guys are great, very likeable and I love the humour as well … look after yourselves you will get there
Keep up the good work. Will be great to see you guys finally be able to move back onboard. Will be even better to see you lifted into the water one day.
Aluminium ìs like a nudist...it likes to be naked.... no matter how you prepare it it will start oxidising and cause the coating to flake off. If water gets under paint or fairing the aluminium literally turns to paste. Keep it bare and give it a polished now and then if you like. You have come so far, done so much! Well done! 🎉🎉🎉
I love your videos and have been watching from the beginning but I have to say I didn’t think you get to where you are now. Great job!! Thank you for sharing ❤
Great recap of what has been an enormous amount of work. Great to hear that you are planning some days so important to get a break no manner how passionate and determined you are its a huge job and there is still lots to do. Take care.
Colosal work already done : amazing !!! And super instructive... Thanks for the weekly videos. Can't wait to see the engine put in place, bye the way !
Yes! Thank you! But on my days I just want to do fun boat jobs, rigging, testing out the systems before installing, etc etc. You know how it is. 🤣🤣🤣 Cheers for watching 🙂
Try Dutch, maybe? We got many combination words. Where English still has apple trees, we got appelbomen. Just like mainsail, mainsheet, halyard and ancrechain.
Hi Guys, that was an awesome vlog, bringing us up to speed with your plans. We can't miss any of your vlog s,we are really attached to you both.Thank you xxx
You guys are really great. Keep going, you will get to the splash soon...and then! And then sail to the Bay of the Virgins in Fatu Hiva where you will be reborn.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey these past years. Great accomplishments can take time. So be it. But results are already there. Take care.
Thanks for the video. You two are terrific! Pace yourselves and steady onward. You have accomplished a great deal and amassed a great deal of experience and knowledge. Congratulations. Your goals are in sight. Take care.
Thank you very much for all the videos that showed me and us a lot of joy, amazement, energy and perseverance. Every week I look forward to seeing you again. And what a huge result you have already achieved. We will continue to support you until we see two smiling people on their way to beautiful locations that this world has. So don't worry and don't feel bad about taking a break. Every person needs that! Love Henk
Hi Marina and Stu. Amazing progress as usual! I hope you get to "slow down" and enjoy each new job as much as we enjoy watching you!! Greetings from Houston- Rick
Beautiful recap! At least two days off…take three….every week! You deserve it. (We’re shifting focus to our mast. Seeing it back in its rightful place, we’re thinking, will give us a little boost.😂😎) ❤️❤️❤️
If UA-cam has become your job, you guys ought to treat it as such. If I was getting burned out, I’d start limiting myself to only working so many hours. A lot of ppl put in 40hrs each week, and have a couple days to getaway from their job. That can be a little tricky when you live on the job site, 😂 so I get it, and see how it can become 7 days a week. Regardless, boat look great, you two ought to be proud of what you’ve accomplished, see ya in the next video.
What a thorough recapitulation of the work you have done and the work you plan to do for the refit on ! I've rebuilt decks on the sailboats I've owned, but I've never engaged myself in such a keel-to-deck refit the way you two have. I admire your good-natured perseverance. Onward and upward!
Great episode! I was worried in the beginning and I asked you about your plan and you answered, we have no plan. In this episode you said "the plan is..." I was very happy to hear this. Now you clearly can envision the end goal and have a plan to get there and that seems to have given you new energy. I'm very happy for you. You got this!
It is great to see the progress and the remaining work building up should be more satisfying. Finishing the interior over winter makes sense, can you get any internal heating into the boat at that site? Hull/Deck/Mast over summer also makes sense. Will you keep the 70’s style lines and winches at the mast, or run some lines to the cockpit? Pros and cons both ways I think. I do like the 60/70’s centre cockpit lines as a sea kindly passage maker. Good luck.
🇬🇧 + 🇪🇸 = Seabird Stew & Marina, you guys rock. Well done so far. You are making a miracle come true. Ps Stew, when are you popping the big question to Marina?
Excellent video and very informative. Stay focused, stay positive and stay calm. You have achieved so much already. You both looked relaxed and happy. ❤❤❤
Yes I agree, you should take some time off on the weekends to recharge. The boat is looking great, winter is right around the corner and the cooler temps are not the ideal scenario for working outside.
Y'all doing good! And yeah, take breaks. The end is in sight, don't burn out right before the finish line. Besides, it'll be winter soon, not the best time to do a lot of work - do some anyway, but take some time to just ... do not much at all. Do nothing. Just, I dunno, chill, have a cup of tea, read a book, read two books, have the hot chocolate. Heck, have the whipped cream with that.
Sis, you know i can get u all the cork you need for that floor. Just give me some time, i´ve already started this morning with a nice Rioja wine for breakfast. Also, what a beauty!!! Looks amazing ❣
You are doing a fantastic job you both deserve a pat on the back. The boat has come such a long way. Some people might have thrown the towel in but the two of you have kept going by staying positive and supporting each other through thick and thin
Your journey has just been inspiring ❤ I have worked on boats and appreciate the meticulous detail required to achieve a proper result. I work on my car as a hobby and it’s a walk in the park compared to what you’ve been through. What you have completed thus far blows my mind. You two have tremendous will and spirit, and I want to thank you for sharing. It’s been an honor and look forward to watching your progress. Warmest regards 🎉
Thank you. We aren't reinventing the wheel, it's just a refit. Literally taking off everything and refitting it, plus a few extras 🤣🤣 Tbh the time has gone really quick, we must be having fun. We are grateful for your support. Cheers for watching 🙂

Too bad you don't live in Old Zeeland. That is in my country. We need more people like you! Do you sail a yacht, too?
“ I feel like sanding” 😂
I do today!
Once the last of the bilge is sanded and the floor is down, things should improve.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Awesome upload guys ,see you next week 👊👍

Good work Team Seabird!!
I’ve watched from Day 1 and you guys have been amazing with what you have achieved in your restoration to Seabird
Watched every episode. Nice review to remind how much has been done. Still daunting tasks ahead. Engine install and getting aligned will probably drive you all nuts till all is good. I think after that, all work will be like walking down hill. Great work! One of my favorite channels.

Nice work you two!! Super interesting to see the transformation !! Keep it up !
Great overview. Seabird will be a jewel in the water.
We'd be happy just floating.
Thanks for the encouragement.
Cheers for watching 🙂
One of the great things about the English language is that it is very elastic and you can create new words at will without too many repercussions.
Try Dutch, maybe? We got many combination words. Where English still has apple trees, we got appelbomen. Just like mainsail, mainsheet, halyard and ancrechain.
She is looking so much better but still a way to go. You'll get there, keep at it. Cheers!
Thanks, will do!
Slowly getting there 🐌
Cheers for watching 🙂

So excited to see the interior built up!
That makes two of us! 🤣🤣🤣
We are currently working on that.
I honestly think the next week weeks are going to be a game changer.
Cheers for watching 🙂
Hi Marina and Stu.
Amazing progress as usual!
I hope you get to "slow down" and enjoy each new job as much as we enjoy watching you!!
Greetings from Houston- Rick
You are doing so well. Keep going. Keep working outside as much as possible.
It’s great fun, if you like sanding! Nice one guys, heaps of progress and a solid(ish) plan for the future! Keep it up!
If I was getting burned out, I’d start limiting myself to only working so many hours. nice narration girl!! the boat looks so amazing
What a thorough recapitulation of the work you have done and the work you plan to do for the refit on ! I've rebuilt decks on the sailboats I've owned, but I've never engaged myself in such a keel-to-deck refit the way you two have. I admire your good-natured perseverance. Onward and upward!
doing great guys its looking good
Well done guys 🎉
Great episode! I was worried in the beginning and I asked you about your plan and you answered, we have no plan. In this episode you said "the plan is..." I was very happy to hear this. Now you clearly can envision the end goal and have a plan to get there and that seems to have given you new energy. I'm very happy for you. You got this!
Thank you. Great work!
You faithfulness to this project is so admirable.
Good luck.
"I'm a sander at best" xD haha love u guys, take ur time, keep up the great work wooo Seabird!!
So excited to see how you are going to fit out the inside!! Marina, your interior design skills are going to be on full display 😊😊😊❤
🇬🇧 + 🇪🇸 = Seabird
Stew & Marina, you guys rock.
Well done so far.
You are making a miracle come true.
Ps Stew, when are you popping the big question to Marina?
Good job guys!
Excellent video and very informative. Stay focused, stay positive and stay calm. You have achieved so much already. You both looked relaxed and happy. ❤❤❤
Get a lazer light to line shaft up
Knee deep in fibreglass dust and back to it. Happy days, keep your eyes on the prize.
Yes I agree, you should take some time off on the weekends to recharge. The boat is looking great, winter is right around the corner and the cooler temps are not the ideal scenario for working outside.

Just, I dunno, chill, have a cup of tea, read a book, read two books, have the hot chocolate. Heck, have the whipped cream with that.
Just can't imagine all the grunt work involved! Fantastic 🎉
Some people might have thrown the towel in
but the two of you have kept going by staying positive and supporting each other
through thick and thin
Well done and enjoy your break. It’s a fabulous job
Literally taking off everything and refitting it, plus a few extras 🤣🤣
Tbh the time has gone really quick, we must be having fun.
We are grateful for your support.
Cheers for watching 🙂
