    So after hearing this I ended up having a confusing question in my head, what does dropshipping and ecommerce does not have in common, or in another rephrase is dropshipping same as ecommerce or not?

    • @prospectz5375
      @prospectz5375 Місяць тому +3

      E-commerce is simply just “online business”. The “E” being electronic, and commerce just being business. Dropshipping is probably the most common form of eccommerce. But there’s also clothing brands, freelance brand scaling, etc.

    Hey Brook - guess my message was auto-deleted. I was just asking, how many of your sales when you first got started were actually through phone or live chat? I've had two sales so far, and neither of them required any before-sale communication. However, I've been having a bunch of abandoned checkouts, and I'm speculating that people simply don't trust the store - especially when we're competing against stupid big companies like home depot. I'm starting to understand why stores like northernsaunas try to get people to call as much as possible (through locking discounts behind calls, e.g "Fall sale, call: number") because that gives them a chance to establish trust and actually close the sale. Do you recommend us smaller stores taking this approach, especially since we have no reviews and really no credibility to our names in the beginning? Thanks for the insane value. Hopefully I can join the incubator soon.

      Good questions I would like to hear his thoughts on this as well.

    • @dex5368
      @dex5368 10 місяців тому

      @@JB-ko4rp I've tried asking a couple of other people, and the answer was yes. It makes sense why big stores do this; it's way easier to establish trust over the phone and close the sale right then and there, than trying to do that over livechat or email. I've had a bunch of abandoned checkouts, and sometimes it's been due to price and I was not available to give a discount aside from the typical $100 off as it was midnight, so they went with a competitor. [extra painful when you see their review on the competitor's site] If I had given an incentive for them to call earlier (i.e call number for up to x amount off), they would've called me and I possibly would have been able to close the sale much earlier in the day. So yeah, I think it makes a lot of sense to do the work that other people aren't willing to do and establish bonds with customers over the phone.

      How is your business going now?

    • @williamcsy7869
      @williamcsy7869 23 дні тому +2

      Hi G, I identified abandoned checkouts is because of lack of customer service. I manage to make a chatbot where it appears after a customer checkout that reduce 30% of my abandoned checkouts and 24% increase of conversion rate. It's not because of trust.

    • @dex5368
      @dex5368 22 дні тому

      @@HannahCoziCorner Going great now thanks to God. Just put my head down and been working all day every day on the store. For abandoned checkouts, you ideally want to call them as soon as they abandon. I’ve texted many people for abandoned checkouts and I close many of them, but because there are stricter laws around texting, emailing helps if you can’t call for some reason (but you should be calling)
      I don’t get many abandoned checkouts anymore as I kept adding reviews, judgeme badges, improved my theme, slapped my phone number everywhere, etc.
      Regarding locking discounts behind phone, to be honest this isn’t necessary. You should at least lock discounts behind email pop ups, though, so you can get leads and remarket to them via email. But put your phone number EVERYWHERE. Make it massive on your header. Put it all over your product pages, etc.
      Also joining a mentorship will help you a lot. I’d recommend a smaller mentorship where it’s clear the person in charge will be helping you 1-on-1. You won’t only be joining a mentorship, but you’ll be joining a network and connect with others doing 40k/mo, 100k/mo, 250k/mo etc.

No one will do that and no one will ever do that. WHY? Because they do not want to show you that. They want to sell you the persuation and perspective of that and get you buy their products/services/subcribe etc...

    Hey, I'm 16 I have no phone and no money. My dad is 200 thousand dollars in debt, my parents wont let me get a job, and all i want is to become successful enough to pay my parents debt off and never have to work a 9-5. I will do whatever it takes and i will not fail but i have no clue where to start because i have no money. My parents are no help. Can you please help me?

      I will say first of all, its not your responsibility to help your parents with their debt, in the business of making money you will need a certain mindset, maybe a couple years in the future you could help your parents if you work your ass off with the right mindset, dont expect it to happen overnight unless you win the lottery.

      Kid I highly advise you to focus on your studies now. Growing your own online business is risky and it´s better to first ensure what you call a 9 to 5 job or a proper job. Once you´re secure, try starting a business as a side hustle. If it works that´ll be good and you´ll quit your job, but if it doesn´t, you´re all good cuz you took precautions.
