Financial/business planning and analysis is important and has its place, but for a small ecommerce business starting out I don't think it should be a priority. The problem I feel is that if you get too bogged down in the numbers and end up with paralysis by analysis you will never start and the opportunity will be lost.
This video really highlights the struggles of running an e-com store. I remember losing sales because of late deliveries, but switching to Service Points changed everything. Anyone else been there?
Thank you for the positive feedback, Chris! Happy to hear the video can provide insight to those looking to start an online store and build their business.
Thank you for providing such a comprehensive blueprint for starting an e-commerce business! Your step-by-step guide makes the daunting task of venturing into online entrepreneurship feel manageable and achievable. Here's to turning dreams into successful online ventures!
Amazing tutorial! Wow, huge value here! One question though, i didn't quite get this statement: 08:40 'And if you're selling digital products, you can have issues with scalability' Please clarify, thank you 🙏
i didnt watch the video yet but, i think he means that when you're selling anything online most people will have trouble with scalability. scalability often refers to increasing. for example, increasing sales, profit, etc.
Great share, i would like to add Building your own ecommerce business is as exciting as it is challenging. At a rapid pace you'll learn a ton about choosing a product, evaluating its viability, figuring out how to get it produced, building an ecommerce website, and marketing and selling to new customers.
On Obtaining your product: If you you go with wholesale, does this mean you can skip the process of validating the products and instead focus on your reseller brand, your nice, and the value you provide?
Totally! We have a published video on that subject here: ua-cam.com/video/RtygijqXsdE/v-deo.html But we're also going to create a new video to add even more information on that topic. Stay tuned!
Is it worth studying the Google digital marketing and e-commerce professional certificate just to gain the skills as a bonus at least for the job if it won't also teach you how to run an online e-commerce store? Then what Course on Coursera would they also teach me the guidance for running an online store and business if anyone is also looking for answers to the questions?

Hi there, Viktoria! Thanks for your question! The tool that is mentioned at that timestamp in the video is called 'Google Keyword Planner'. Google has loads of articles and support documents on the tool and how to best use it to do research into keywords that folks are entering all over the internet!
How do you find a competitors market share without seeing financials? I never understand how small biz owners are expected to obtain this information if it's it's a private company? One can guess based on perception but what is the point if it's not accurate?
Hi, there! Shopify is the ecommerce service merchants use to run their stores (shopify.link/zJqV). If you're interested in learning more about Shopify I would definitely recommend checking out our Intro to Shopify (shopify.link/WJR) and Getting Started Guide (shopify.link/1Pan).
Thank you very much for so much great info,i got a question i would love to get answer please,is there diffrence if i start buisness from Europe or USA?I heard there are more obstacles from EU.Thanks for Great video and hope to get answer please.
Hi, there. Thank you for reaching out! Shopify is available to use in Europe the same as it is in the USA. As far as starting a business in Europe compared to the USA, we are not equipped to answer that, and it would be best to do some research into this. Please let me know if you have any further questions!

Running a store can be so overwhelming, especially with shipping delays eating into margins. I found something that automated this, and it made life so much easier. Who’s still dealing with this?

Not enough info given when they explain how to identify competitors. It would be nice if they went into the detail of every point. This feels incomplete because of that.
let's use the principle of e-commerce in physical stores I explain: every store in the world is 1.0 in this store, products almost never change and the owner chose the products it is boring now, there must be a new store 2.0 in this store, products always change and people choose the products there will be via an app on the app, there is a huge catalog, people choose the products that will show up in the store the store is constantly being supplied with the products people choose
