    Tom Selleck actually plays Lewis in the future, so the "Cornelius" joke works on two levels.

    • @turbotemari09
      @turbotemari09 8 місяців тому +59

      When making the movie, Tom being added was just a silly joke, but they liked it so much, they started looking into getting his picture in the movie for real. In the end, to get around licensing, they actually called Tom, told him about the movie, and offered him the role of Cornelius. His response was “Yeah, I can do that.” And so, it all began, with a joke they didn’t wanna let go of.

    Meet the Robinsons is one of Disney's most underrated films! There's a lot of characters this movie introduces, but I find them to be very likable and hilarious. I find the villain the be very interesting and he has a lot of funny moments. I was also kinda surprised by the twist involving him. Yes, the "Keep Moving Forward" motto may get tiring as if we didn't get it the first time, but it's still a great message.

    Another neat little Easter egg: if you pay really close attention to the sounds in the opening scene, and the scene where Lewis goes back in time to see his mom, you'd realize that they actually sync up perfectly, in that Lewis was the noise that spooks his mom, as well as the one who knocked on the door in the beginning, after he'd already done everything.

      Not really a disney classic but I agree it will never get old. Same with chicken little which was also a disney animated film around that time. They have their funny moments that make them all worth it. I wouldnt say they are master pieces but they are definitely under rated. They are meme worthy movies that are better used watching clips than watching an entire movie.

Watching it the first time I did not connect that Lewis is Wilbur's father and he's in the Robinson family. 15:47 Funfact:for the LatinAmerican dub of the film Tom Selleck's portrait was replaced by that José Luis Rodríguez best known as "El Puma Rodriguez" a Venezuelan TV host,actor and singer very well known in all South American (mostly for people between the ages of 40-50) he even provided his voice for the Adult Lewis when we finally see him!
    But that version (i think) its exclusive to the TV broadcast of the film since Disney + kept the original actor's portrait
    28:32 Also Lewis was not suppossed to wake up Goop at the Baseball game,the scene orginally had the older Goop waking up his Younger self (maybe they change it so that Lewis could redeem itself,which makes sense!)

    This is a great movie; I’m glad you enjoyed it! I gotta watch it again sometime. It’s been a few years.
    Didn’t know Chris has something personal against gnomes. 😅😹😹

    One of those movies that was let down by marketing. They focused on the goofy aspects, which are easily the worst bits of the movie. It's got such heart, and such a good message, while also managing to have very witty and inventive writing. For those wanting more, there's a fully voiced Xbox game that's worth checking out.
