Yes, sentences can generally be appealed. There is the risk of your sentence being increased as well as decreased. I don't think it's particularly harsh considering release on licence will be available at most 50% way through the sentence if not earlier.

They've told me all about the system down there and the different camps of different races (Yardies, Asian, Muslim) and all those camps are team handed. The boy in the video is right in what he is saying. They are moving targets for some of those camps. I bet a lot of these cats who are getting sentences will be "first offender's", who have never been in before. They'll not see what is coming, even on protection cons aren't safe.
