I'm really disappointed that the VHS isn't an actual video. I would've loved for them to hide some cryptic secrets in there. What a gem of an opportunity wasted.
That's kinda the point, friend. GTAV did something similar where they put secrets on a map that came with the Collector's Edition which could only be seen with Blacklight because you know, we all have Blacklight's, right?
Similar logic with ARG's. They aren't for everyone but the dedicated folks who really want to see what else is hidden around.

Tenderloin Salmon Collectors Editions (for consoles at least) do not usually cost that much. $200 is usually like the most for a collectors edition. Anywhere from 80 to 150 is usually what they cost.
Tenderloin Salmon Most CE are no were close to $300. Sony first party exclusives CE are normal $120 hell Persona 5 CE is only $90. So normally they are under $200.
RE is a big franchise, there shall be $300 special..
The Japanese one comes with a vinyl record, containing the soundtrack. There is also a coffee mug that says "BIG PAPPA'S BURGER" on it, but I have no idea what that means.

Yotonel I know I have the vinyls for Mafia 3 but I read somewhere that the RE7 vinyl isn't real but it's just a case that holds something in the middle

I kinda do just because I love these kind of things, spooky houses, graveyards, mansions, castles... so this is a good item for my collection of halloween stuff... and it also comes with a resident evil game.

To be fair, this is one of the cooler collectors editions I've seen in a while. It looks like they really wanted to make some authentic stuff for it without petty DLC skins, instead of throwing in generic cliche grab items. they did it without completely spoiling the game too, which is impressive

If Capcom expects people to buy this. It would be in their best interest to actually start releasing legit footage of the game. Weapon trailers, enemy detail trailers, story etc Like The Evil Within would do. Updating the demo does not count!

anyone notice that it's called Resident Evil 7: BioHazard? BioHazard is what RE was originally called when it was first released... Could this mean that everything in RE7:BH happened before the rest of the games? Is it the beginning of outbreaks? Because the main character who has access to media doesn't seem to have any knowledge of viruses...

The things I've noticed about CE's is that they usually go cheap a month or two after the game has been released. Unless you absolutely need it at that moment, I've learned to just wait. That way if I actually like that game to the point where I want a statue or a figure, I can get it for half of the original price.

Cheaper on Amazon or at Best Buy: $47.99 at both places with either Amazon Prime or Gamer's Club Unlocked. Gamestop's in-store employees are usually rude or try to get me to buy stuff that I don't want. Release day shipping at Amazon with Prime. I also know that shipping usually takes a week or two for me if I purchase anything from Gamestop. It surprises me how they are still open. Trade-in's I don't do at any places now. I just sell it on ebay or amazon and get more money for my games. Gamestop also takes games out of their cases and throws it into a cheap black case. That pisses me off when they ruin classic rare games. I also know they throw a lot of games and guides away. It'd be nice if they had those penny sales like they used to. That way you are not wasting and someone that wants the game gets it cheap. There are more things, but I will leave it at that.

I understand where you are coming from. Amazon does have better deals with their free shipping and 20% discount. However, unlike most people, I want my games now. Gamestop has that convenience of being 5 minutes away from me. I don't even need to drive there, just ride my bike or walk, lol. With that being said, it's hard sometimes to order stuff online when there's 3 damn video game stores in your area and one of them is within walking distance.
Not trying to defend Gamestop, but it's nice for people like me who are impatient and would rather buy games there now. But, yeah, the day 1 shipping on release is too hard to pass up.
Release day shipping is great. Also, you don't have Best Buy within walking distance? They also have a 20% off program.

But does the package include the season pass ? Game itself looks like standard first person horror game like Amnesia etc. *but* It´s not Resident evil. And compared to the size of the box the house itself is quite small.
5:30- Imo, the BEST *Resident Evil* theme in years (yes, I know it's adapted from an older song)! It's beautiful, intense, and evokes a sense of despair alongside the horror of the in-game atmosphere. We haven't had much music this memorable in the franchise since *RE 4*. I likely won't spend $180 for this, but I'm definitely looking forward to the game itself! 😏
