Even though I've known this song since the time it was written, I've never seen any video of his till now, and omg, what a gem this is! How awesome it would be to be there at that moment. I've also learnt that he's not with us anymore. What a horrible loss. Im aure he was an awesome being in every aspect. How else would he have written these songs.
So, no one downvoted this song but i had the thought of that classic comment, sorta the "fuck whoever the 1 person that downvoted" thing whatever. Then i thought, it was probably Jason. Or at least someone fighting the same war. Goodbadyingyanghellheavenlovepain
@@valocheeeeeeeeeee it actually looks as if he was playing F#m F# and then something on 7th fret. So basically 2 chords on 2nd fret and 2 chords on 7th fret, can you separately recognize them? Tried out different stuff, but doesn't quite sound right.
3 years later but he's tuned: E, A, D, F# 4 chords: F#m |-2-4-4-3-| C#m |-4-4-2-2-| Bm |-7-9-9-8-| F#m |-9-9-7-7-| I find it easiest to play the C#m and F#m by barring the 2 high strings with my index finger. That way, I can do the hammer-ons with my ring finger. Let me know if anyone actually tries this. I think it's pretty close.
Who ever was there was so so lucky I’d have given anything to see him live. Played captain badass at my girlfriends funeral.. because she was
im sorry for your lost brother. wherever you are, stay strong. There is somewhere, someone thinking about you right now praying for your soul ❤

This guy was like melancholy reggae. 💜💜💜
incredible talent, seamlessly going from crowd banter/jokes into the dark melancholy of the song. There will never be another like him.
The song that drew me into all things amazing Jason Molina. Rest In Peace good sir.

Anywhere else to see the rest of this house show?
It’s allllrighttt
Does anyone knows (or is able to figure out) by chance what exact tabs he's playing?
would love to know that aswell....
this is basiclly 4 chords : G#m F# C#m G#m and a few arpeggios
@@valocheeeeeeeeeee it actually looks as if he was playing F#m F# and then something on 7th fret. So basically 2 chords on 2nd fret and 2 chords on 7th fret, can you separately recognize them? Tried out different stuff, but doesn't quite sound right.
Knowing the tabs isn't going to help you much unless you are also playing a four-string guitar in an alternate tuning
3 years later but he's tuned: E, A, D, F#
4 chords:
F#m |-2-4-4-3-|
C#m |-4-4-2-2-|
Bm |-7-9-9-8-|
F#m |-9-9-7-7-|
