Thank you. I'm a massive fan and this is just gold. I wish I could have been there, but I was only 8.

This particular set expresses a vulnerability I hear from Jason often. It's rare to see it exemplified on video recording. Thank you for sharing.

It’s crazy to me that with the monumental works he’d released by this point, that he was playing a house party. Not a bad thing, just a little crazy. I guess the parties I’ve been to were a little low grade. 😂

It was a favor to me. He played my birthday in June 1998 and my brother’s in Sept 1998.

@@songsohiavideoarchive4221 wish I could have seen at least one show. I didn’t discover his music until five or so years ago. Not a week goes by without me listening to his stuff, Didn’t It Rain and the black album most often. His music feels like KY, WV, and OH to me, and is some of my favorite music of all time. Do you mind if I ask how you knew him?

@@Heavilymoderated Those are powerful albums for sure. When Jason first moved to Bloomington, I worked with him and the guys who started SC. I also ran his website from 1997-2003.

Does anybody know the exact place this was recorded? Im a lifelong fan on songs:ohia and Im going on a trip (from sweden) to see the places where Jason grew up/lived, and would be very happy to see this place. Anyone?

This was recorded in my apartment in Connersville, Indiana but I don’t remember the address anymore. It’s been too many years.

Thank you for the answer. Were you a friend to Jason back then? Do you know any "Molina-spots" in or around Lorain, Oberlin or Chicago that would be worth visiting? I know his High School and College, but for example do you know where the trailer park in Lorain that he grew up at are located? Or his adress in Chicago? Im thankful for all info. @@songsohiavideoarchive4221

@@songsohiavideoarchive4221 Thanks for the answer. Were you a friend of Jason back then? Do you have any information about any other places I can visit in Jasons footsteps? For example at which trailerpark he grew up in Lorain?

It's absurd that an artist of his caliber has to perform like this for money. But that seems to be the way it goes. Humans aren't quite right yet.
