- We invite you to join us for a twist on our normal Conversations with Jewish Believers In Jesus, hosted by Jeff Morgan. In this episode, Jeff has an important discussion with Anthony Rogers about a theological concept known as the trinity, and how it impacts our perspective of God.
Anthony Rogers came to faith in Jesus in 1993 while he was incarcerated in the Southern Desert Correctional Institution in Indian Springs, Nevada. After his release, he felt compelled to work in Christian ministry. After many twists and turns of God’s divine providence-during which time he got married to a Jewish woman, had children, and went to college, Rogers was eventually accepted into the divinity program at Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He graduated in 2018, and the very next year, Calvary Presbytery called Rogers to be the pastor of prison ministries. He now serves in this capacity as the Regional Director for Metanoia in South Carolina, where he lives with his wife and three of his four children.

Jesus "Before Abraham was, I am."
I’m surviving by the grace of GOD! Heavenly Father please continue to protect me and my sons. As a single mom things are hard on me. Both of my sons are special needs. I’m overwhelmed. Lord I’m struggling to provide the basic necessities for my sons like groceries and I struggle paying my rent each month but I keep faith in you Lord Jesus. My struggles have brought me closer to you. I know you will get me through this hard time. Hear my prayers.
Jeremiah 1:5 tells us that we knew God and were with God before we were ever formed in the womb.
You know what would help this woman. Is someone just actually turning up physically and helping. I hear her plea. I am a man that doesn’t have any children an have many times prayed for just someone from the church to actually step up and actually help me physically with something tangible and none have. So instead of quoting scriptures to me why don’t you instead get out there and find someone that you can actually help right then and there.
@@HeinPretoriusthere are Big Brothers organizations out there for your sons to have a person who gives your boys 1:1.. sit with a social worker and get some of this help. There good churches may have persons willing to be a buddy. Your boys need good. Men to take them under their wings. Too much female dominance is uncomfortable for growing boys. There are summer camps for special needs. There is nearly free to free public transportation. Summer special needs sports .look up Joni and friends organization in your region. Attend a very good church who will get your boys to good places. Get help from the local school educational programs for special needs. With two children with special needs there is funding available in the welfare system unless perhaps you make too much money. Ask a financial planner person how you can set up your boys to receive more public funds. There are group homes for children with special needs . If you get involved you may get them into the same facility and even get them their own special care giver( my friend worked to get her SN son with a 1:1 carer. Good luck..

Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.
Jesus is the only one who could be sacrificed for sins eternally. Jesus was born of a virgin and was conceived by God's Spirit. Jesus never sinned. Any other human came from Adam and has sin. The is no Law or code to be obeyed successfully. If a human lives long enough they will disobey the Law. It takes a blood sacrifice for sins to be forgiveness. Jesus was raised from the dead by God within three days of Jesus's death. Jesus left an empty tomb. Jesus was seen, heard and touched by witnesses. Jesus ascended to heaven through the clouds. Jesus is returning in the clouds. Jesus is Lord. If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart God has raised Jesus from the dead you will be saved. Any one who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Jesus's name means salvation.❤
If we confess our sins God is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
He’s the lamb of God not god the lamb!!

Anthony (Tony), I listen to your teachings often for two reasons "to gather the pearls that you drop along the way and plus your voice helps me rest". I was on duty doing my road crew duties as a deputy: taking the inmates out to clean and I decided to listen to your videos as I was working but your voice once again started to make my eyes heavy while I was on the shoulder of the road with cars speeding by at 75 mph. So maybe I shouldn't listen to you while I am in a vehicle. :)

We all exist within God, outside that nothing can exist. And God can manifest Himself in different form to communicate with us

"I and the Father are One ECHAD". John 10:30. "Our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Yeshua the Messiah." 1 John 1:3. "And we know that The Son of God has come and He has given us a mind to know The True One and to be in The True One- in His Son, Yeshua The Messiah. This One is The True God and The Life Eternal. Dear children, keep yourselves from idols." 1 John 5:20-21.
"I am and the father are one" I read this to mean one in purpose, one in will. The Bible is full of verses that speak to a different understanding and I am Christian and I say let's be Biblical not following human creeds.
In The Name of The Lord we are safe and free of the evil men. Hallelujah praise God of Israel in The Heaven now!

Great conversation! I've learned so much from Anthony Rogers over the years. I love how the LORD is using him to teach us.
Here are some of my observations on the Angel of the LORD.
In Genesis 16, the ontology of the Angel of the LORD is clear and unmistakable, in verse 13. Moses under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit used this encounter with Hagar to introduce the Angel of the LORD as the LORD God himself, to serve as a prologue of sorts, to eliminate any confusion to the reader when he would later reference the other encounters of the Angel of the LORD - usually in anthropomorphic or some other form in Genesis, and in his other books.
Consistent with Moses’ revelation of the Angel of the LORD in Genesis 16, we see that every single time that he mentions him, he’s always revealed in the text as the LORD God. So, unless Moses strictly states otherwise, when he later mentions the patriarch’s physical or visual encounters with the LORD or God, such as “the LORD appeared” or “God appeared”, it’s explicitly implied that he is talking about the Angel of the LORD who he’d already introduced in chapter 16 of Genesis as the LORD God, and likewise, when he later references other encounters with the Angel of the LORD, it’s explicitly implied that he wants the reader to know he’s talking about the same the LORD God that he already introduced in Genesis chapter 16, as the Angel of the LORD.
Its not hard to believe God the Father and God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are one but separate. When Jesus was baptized God the Father said from heaven this is my Son in whom I am well pleased. The spirit came down as a dove. We as believers are filled and sealed with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is able to indwell an unlimited number of believers. That too is a mystery.

So its difficult to make it hard, that they see God.

I truly believe that God can show Himself in human form.

“Behold, I am sending My messenger, and he will clear a way before Me. And the Lord, whom you are seeking, will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming,” says the Lord of armies.""
This MESSENGER is the same messenger in Exodus 23 v20 (Malakh). This Indicates that the Angel of the LORD will be in the Second Temple. Jesus is that messenger.
So the point of the Shema is not about how many Persons but that “He is your only God.” How many Persons is “He”? 🤦♂🤯
No the final act is when He comes again!
That's one of the reasons why the New Testament authors in various places see pre - incarnate Messiah as active in the events of the Old Testament because they identify the Angel of the LORD with Jesus.
1 Corinthians 10 (Messiah as the Rock), Hebrews 11:26 (Moses seeing the reproach of the Messiah) and especially Jude 5 ESV, NET, CBS (Jesus taking the Israelites out of Egypt)
Shma. The LORD is one. (Atta). The word ‘atta’ for one is used speaking of God making Adam and Eve one. (Atta). There is a plurality of one. We see this plurality in the twelve tribes of Israel. The universal church among churches. It’s a common use of language.

Christians believe in : EXODUS 20:2-5: 2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.
3 “You shall have no other gods before me.
4 “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God..".
This rules out any trinity or worshiping any other being other than God of whom no image should be made.

The "Trinity" is not in the bible, but it was an oral teaching of St. Augustine when he says, "The Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God, God exalts Himself.". St. Augustine is Roman Catholic monk. The word is God, the Father and God became a flesh and born man and as a Son, then He died and before He went to Heaven, He became the Holy Spirit. So that is the Trinity was form because He exalts Himself.
Just think at the lunacy that’s been declared. Anthony argues Jesus is the Angel of the lord because…….YHVH placed his name in him. Buuuut the temple of which YHVH also said he put his name in, ISN’T YHVH??

Is it just me, or is the fact that Israel is told that his God is 1 is because it would be easy for them to think there were 3 Gods due to the multiplicity of the persons that were YHWH yet were still God? The Memra and the Spirit.

In Luke 9:18, the disciples respond that the crowds say Jesus is John the Baptist. Jesus then asks his disciples, “But who do you say that I am?” . In Mark 8:29, Peter answers, “You are the Messiah”. In Luke 9:18-20, Peter answers, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God”. Jesus responds, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven”.
Did his discipline say "you are God"? No. Yet Jesus approved of their answer. Why do we seek another one?! Lets let go of creeds and follow the word of God.

The Bible has a timeline.
In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, the Word was God. The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. Jesus is the Word. Jesus is part human, that's why he's able to die on the cross.
When Jesus was walking on the Earth, Jesus is the Son of God. When Jesus goes up, THEY become one.
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. (1 John 5:7)
Notice it says 'the Word', NOT the Son. In heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost are one; but what about on Earth? The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us ON EARTH.
Jesus is LORD. Jesus said, "Before Abraham was, I Am." He's just saying he was around before Abraham. The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.
In the Book of Revelation, Jesus sounds all-powerful, but when Jesus (the Son of God) was walking on the Earth, he sounds like a servant. The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.
I love those passages about the Angel of the Lord. Jesus must have mentioned all those passages to the disciples, besides Messianic prophecies like Isaiah 53, when he showed them that he was in the Old Testament.
Why are we fighting to asset a creed that came after Christ by 400 years?! Why not just be Biblical?! " Who do you think I am? You are the Messiah, the son of the Living God". That's it. He is our savior, no one comes to God except through him, he was given authority in heaven and earth, he is on the right side of God, he is coming back to judge the world. He is the word of God. Thats who he is, my Lord Jesus the Christ. I dont need a creed and still Biblical. If we dont get it enough thats okay. We can pray to God to bring true understanding to our hearts.

Judges 2:1 (KJV)
And an angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant with you.
All these are Angels speaking for GOD , as GOD .
The Angel of the LORD said “ I “ he was just speaking for GOD as GOD in all these verses .

The "Trinity" ... 3-in-One ... here's how the Lord explained it to me:
We are made in His image and likeness ( Gen 1:26 KJV)
We are made with three aspects - body, soul, and spirit (1Th 5:23 KJV) - whereby only our body can be seen by others, our soul & spirit are 'invisible'
Since we're made in His image and likeness then God is also Body, Soul, and Spirit - Jesus is the Body form of God, the visible form or aspect, while the Soul & Spirit of God is 'invisible' (Col 1:15 & 1Ti 1:17 KJV)

The scripture verses Rogers is referring to do not prove the trinity whatsoever. It is just that Rogers misunderstands the verses he is quoting. Time and time again, God has said he alone is God and there is none besides Him.

I'm sorry, but there's NO WAY that worshipping 3 separate persons is the same thing as worshipping ONE God! They are also different beings, since God The Father is God almighty, Jesus is a human BEING (so completely separate being to God The Father), and The Holy Spirit is completely different to both of them. Stephen in acts 7 explicitly teaches that Jesus is not the angel of the Lord.
Steven also teaches without doubt that the angel of The Lord can speak in the first person as YHVH ON BEHALF OF YHVH!!!! That’s the job of a celestial messenger!!!

How can the angel of YHVH be YHVH??!!!!
Trinity believing Christians say Jesus is (fully) God, but not 'one' God. Why should one believe that? YHWH is 1 and distinguished from his Messiah. Ps 110:1!

Isn't Elohim the same as "Parents". and El is "Parent". There are many parents/elohim/gods in the world but each person only has One set of Parents. If we are all Spiritual Brothers and Sisters, then WE ALL have only One set of Parents, One Father and One Mother.. "God is Our Father". Honour thy Mother and Father. Jesus tore the vail so that She could be set free. Jerusalem is now free.

God the Father - Elohim, the one true God, creator of all things and eternal, with no beginning or end.
Yeshua/Jesus- God in human form who dies on the cross to save humanity and reconcile man to Himself.
Holy Spirit- Spirit of God/Spirit of Christ who lives in every person who accepts Christ and follow Him.
I don’t see any contradictions. The Holy Spirit and God’s holy Word testifies that the Lord is 1.
When you look at man who is made in the image of God, he is also multi faceted (body, mind, spirit, soul) but we don’t separate those parts into distinct separate people. Each human being is 1 not 3. God is God and can show himself in whatever form
He so chooses (burning bush, Angel of the Lord, Melchizedek, Living Water, pillar of fire, the Good Shepherd, the Messiah, Bread of Life, Alpha, Omega, Lamb of God, Yahweh, Lion of the tribe of Judah, ect…). HE IS GOD and HE IS ONE. He shares His glory with no one. Only 1 being is ever recorded as seating on the thrown, not 2 or three. AR teaching ref the mount of transfiguration blows my mind! It’s horrendous. The whole purpose of the Transfiguration is not to declare that Jesus is God Almighty but rather that he is the anointed one of God Almighty who they must hear and obey. Just the day before Peter was trying to give advice to Jesus telling him he didn’t have to die on the cross. This is why God Almighty called the disciples to the mountain to impress upon them that Jesus was his anointed one and that’s why they must listen to him!!
Close. Yes, the transfiguration shows Jesus as Messiah. But it also shows Him as God. Torah shows that Moses, after fasting and being with God for 40 days, returned to his people illuminated. So much so that he had to cover his face for a time.
Jesus did 40 days fasting in the wilderness on His own. And He was illuminated in front of His disciples on His own. This shows that Jesus is the One that was always in the Hebrew Bible from the very beginning.

Trinity is a worship of three Gods.
Zechariah 13:6 basically says Jesus admits to being a false prophet. Read the entire Zechariah 13 to get the verse in context. Zechariah 13:1-5 explains it clearly that Jesus C was a false prophet. So don’t be so happy as Christians that the OT mentions JC as JC is mentioned in the most negative light possible in Zechariah 13 as someone definitely not to worship or follow. It is like being famous for being a mass murderer-definitely not a positive thing to emulate!

@@Elijah-rt3dm Jesus Christ is the pierced one spoken of in Zechariah 13. If you read the entire Zechariah in context you’ll understand that Jesus Christ was mentioned in Zechariah as a person not to follow as he is an example of a false prophet.

If you don’t believe Zechariah 13 mentions Jesus Christ then that is ok too. But if you say Zechariah 13 refers to Jesus Christ then it is referring to false prophets that you most certainly are not to follow.

Read Hosea 3:4-5 which totally & absolutely disproves JC is Lord as it says there is no King in the end of days. If Hosea 3:4-5 says there is no king, then are you saying the prophet Hosea is a liar? Also, God created & approved of prophet Hosea’s message. Are you then also claiming that God is lying through the prophet Hosea?

Also read Genesis 49:10
“The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor the student of the law from between his feet, until Shiloh comes, and to him will be a gathering of peoples.”
Genesis 49:10 basically says you need to be a student of OT scripture if you want your safety insured. If you insist on not having insurance, then I guess you’re self-insured by choice!
