Beside the tree of knowledge of Good and Evil, there was the tree of Life in Eden that has the divine purpose to dispense Life. It's a divine tree and it's fruit is also divine, not human, but meant to nutrish humans. The tree of knowledge of Good and Evil was not meant to nutrish them because they were to die of it. But it is helpful to let you know which kind of food you really need. Trying to observe the Tanakh thinking you can make it on your own, you try to be like God. I saw a video of a group of Chinese Christians opening a box full of Bibles. They were overjoyed, praying and kissing the Bibles. It was heartwarming to see. Here in the west there is little danger to be Christian. That isn't always the case in many parts of the world. God bless those that risk their safety for faith in Jesus. Please keep them safe.

Sorry, but this is problematic. The Jewish path to G0d has absolutely notthing to do with Jesus. If you can accept that, all well and good. If not you are free to worship elsewhere. Every orthodox synagogue is a Messianic house of God, for that is ultimately what we believe in. It does not need to be mentioned constantly, but it is true. And to belabour the point, it has nothing to do with Jesus, so you will not hear his name mentioned ever!

It is a terrible tragedy. Every Jew who leaves the fold csuses God to cry. And those instrumental in his defection, delusion and misstep cause anger and wrath to be brought to the world and delays the day the Messiah will come.

Again I am a Gentile. It is amazing to read in Acts Paul's conversion from being a destroyer of the church to being a fervent defender of the church. On the road to Damascus it is as though Jesus switched on the light so that Paul could see the truth. He came to realize that all his rabbinical training and works were for naught. However, Paul quickly came to realize that the Jesus he persecuted was indeed his Messiah. He went from being a legalistic rabbi to the rabbi that came to know the liberty in Christ. (Of course, liberty from sin, and not liberty to sin.) It is amazing how quickly Paul changed his understanding that Jesus is not dead, but forever Our Lord and Savior.
George Hart I mostly agree with you, but the Rabbinical training Paul had received prior to his conversion was not all for naught. It couldn’t save his soul, only Jesus could do that…but that education did give him a fuller understanding when the truth about Jesus showed Paul how He was in all that Paul had learned about. I can only imagine how his brain exploded with the wealth of knowledge and understanding giving light to his previous knowledge of the scriptures. Plus he had the other apostles to help him sort out some of it with him because it must have been overwhelming. I love seeing that Christians were at first afraid of him because he was a persecutor of Christians, but realized quickly the miracle God had performed in Paul’s life. I have seen such a change in my own life as well, from darkness to light. ❤️🙂
@@LilyAmongThorns All that is true, but you must keep in mind how angry Jesus was with the Pharisees who condemned Him for healing on the Sabbath. It aggravated Jesus that some Pharisees thought if they "dedicated" their property to the temple, they would no longer be required to care for their parents. Jesus detested Pharisees who made a great show with their givings and their prayers. Jesus got very angry with the legalistic Pharisees which Paul was one at the time of his conversion. God is graceful to all of us.

Thank you for this video & discussion. As a Christian, I've always admired the Jewish culture and history. I remember being invited to a Passover Dinner and I was so honored to actually be part of such a beautiful tradition that I read about in the Bible. But my heart was saddened because the Jewish family that I was with made comments that made me realize that they actually didn't believe in the stories in Exodus and the host herself was atheist. I thought to myself "why are you doing this year after year and you don't believe?" I pray for God's will to be done in the hearts of the Jewish people all over the world. Here in the Philippines I am one who has experienced good things, we are experiencing the wonders and miracles of JESUS, before there were serious diseases, vices and various problems in life, this has been changed by God, since JESUS be found... until now He continues to do good to us. I am happy to see you, you are the people who were first loved, chosen and truly loved by God.
I used to think often of how Jesus was rejected by His own, and how could they not have seen Him for who He was. But then the Holy Spirit revealed to me that if they would have saw who He truly was and accepted Him, absolutely no one would have put Him on the cross, but rather worshiped Him as Messiah and we'd all be lost forever. That veil upon their eyes allowed the fulfillment of the prophecy of the Cross to die for all mankind.

Thank you very much for your discussion and the invaluable insights of the Jewish Messianic faith ✡️ I'm Greek Orthodox by birth, from Greek-Cypriot parents. I grew up not really accepting my faith - living an empty idealistic faith, governed by 'traditions'. My late mother was the second of 10 siblings of an Orthodox priest. She loved Jesus but never knew the fundamentals of her Orthodox faith. When I'd ask her to show me where a particular belief stood in the Bible, she would simply say that this is what we were taught. I debated with her and with time I was in a total denial of my faith. In 2006 I became a born-again Christian, and my life changed 180°. I couldn't believe how 'blind' we can be when we're embedded in legalistic-traditions of our faith. I experienced life-changing revelations and miracles in my life after this transformation; but this is another story. Meanwhile, something very strange happened a couple of days before my mother passed last November. I was driving to the hospital, praying and crying for God's intervention to make her well. I was literally talking to God, and I said, "Lord, if you heal my mother, I'll do anything, I'll go anywhere you want me to. As in a flash of lighting, I saw Jerusalem beforeI me! I literally said. "Really Lord... You want me to go to Jerusalem?" By now, I had drawn up into a parking spot. I stepped out of the car and taken a few steps when before my eyes, on the ground, I saw something shiny. I bent over and picked it up. It was a small charm. And I ask you, what are the odds for anyone to find the six-pointed star of David in a hospital parking lot in Cyprus? At this point, I sadly say that the Lord took my mother. I think of this incident everyday and cannot make any sense of it... Can you perhaps?
First of all, I'd like to say I'm so sorry for your loss. But, have you thought that God actually answered your prayer by heal her completely from her pain and illness? I mean, she's now together with God and without any pain anymore. This is only my own thought, since I had experienced a same thing when I lost my brother years ago. I was angry and very sad, but when I got that thought I was in peace knowing my bro is in a good hand now. He wouldn't feel any pain anymore and he's completely healed. Hope this can strengthen you as well :)
God did heal your Mother just not in the way you wanted. Do you think she is sick in heaven? God has given her the best He possibly could have. God bless you ❤
For me I grieve that your mother passed but finding the Jewish symbol of the star for me was the Lord confirmation that He had heard your heart felt cry and desire. He was letting you know that it doesn’t matter where you are in the world He heard your cries and is either you constantly in every way possible. Don’t analyse it too much as the Lord Jesus spoke very simply and he is with you no matter what or where. You can use this as a great testimony to Him in every way. Such a joy to watch an Orthodox Rabbi surrendering his life to Christ. It is happening more and more these days. I am certain that he will be a great testimony to those Jews who are away from their Jewish traditions for one reason or another. Blessing to your ministry.
Also, even really reading the old ! So many times it seems they haven't read it much or thoroughly, and some even apparently have had Isaiah 53 removed from their scriptures (?)... . So, just to even prayerfully seek God and truth and read what you do think is or may be His word, for yourself ! Apparently Jews also have other books elevated to a high level which they spend a ton of time learning and focusing on. I would of course challenge them to take time to read the word of God only for awhile, and seek to hear Him apart from, and definitely above, man's teachings.

Listening to this conversation was very good for my heart. As a "Gentile" believer (I do have some Jewish ancestry though), it shows me that the fullness of said Gentiles is coming in, and has been such that, a remnant of all 12 tribes of Israel are saved and are being saved! He is at the door. Keep the faith, brothers in Christ.
I have a story as well. I am a Messianic Jew, and came to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I felt so much peace accepting Jesus into my life as a Jew, but it felt wrong to give up my old traditions. I chose to adopt Jesus’s teachings as a fulfillment to be added onto the Jewish teachings. I lay importance into both the Old and New Testament. I was sooo happy to see that people can be Jewish and Christian at the same time. I became a much better person since adopting Christianity and Jesus Christ Himself in my life alongside my Jewish practices in God :)
So thankful that you have discovered Jesus is the Messiah. ✝️ As to your struggle about the old traditions, please read Galatians 3 & 5 particularly. The Messiah came to fulfill the law. So there are ceremonial laws that we no longer have to observe because they were foreshadowing His coming. ( Don't get me wrong, Jesus gave us instructions in the New Testament, too, among them a reiterating and further explanation of the majority of the 10 commandments. And, He says that if we love Him, we'll obey Him BECAUSE we're thankful for what He's done for us... but not to earn our salvation or His acceptance by keeping His law, for that would be works. And we are not saved by what we do, but by what He did / does. Ephesians 2:8-10) 🙏💝

As a Christian more than a few Jewish friends from when I was a child up until now, I have always been grateful for my Jewish roots, and how the Jewish faith is the “grandfather” of my Christian faith. But I have been of heavy heart, because I don’t /didn’t know how God is going to do this thing and save my friends through Christ and it does my heart so good to find this channel and hear this. Ex-catholic here. Found the Truth on Jan. 1, 2002 at 12:00AM, in the UAE, Abu Dhabi. My born-again moment , i had a vision of Jesus Christ dying on the Croos while his blood was dripping on my sins, and washing it away. The Cross and the Blood are the really very focal point of Jesus' deity.

The spirit of Jesus is not only our messiah he is our guide. When we don't feel him we know we have veered off course of his path and that we have to get back to him. I had the same experience going into the Catholic Church. I joined thinking it was the right thing to do after being raised Baptist my whole life and a believer in Jesus. I did have incentive as my spouse is catholic and we married in a Catholic Church. I slowly realized I made the wrong decision and the Lord removed me from the church. He basically didn’t let me participate in the Catholic Church even after converting. I’m so grateful for Jesus Christ allowing me into his life and saving me over and over. He is my Savior and my best friend. Praise Yeshua.

I am a Christian. I accepted Jesus in my heart when I was four years old. I love the Jewish nation and pray for the salvation of Israel every day. I have told my Jewish friends about Jesus and pray for them that they will one day believe. Jews for Jesus, keep up the great work. I encourage you to keep going. As a Gentile believer in Yeshua I am always thrilled to hear about a Jewish person coming to faith in Him. To me, Yeshua is like the final piece of a jigsaw puzzle for Jewish people. This was so heartwarming 💕 thank you so much. Had me in tears-how great our God is. Ive been told by some jewish people to not use that name-Jesus. They use the name to blaspheme though. This breaks my heart. I continue to pray for them. There is such power in the name of Jesus. Ive been confronted by a mozambique cobra snake (highly venomous) it was mesmirizing my then 3 yr old son. I lifted my hand and said in the name of Jesus be gone. The snake dissappeared. It never slithered away, it vanished. To God be the glory. I was raised Roman Catholic and thought we were the chosen. In 1980, i accepted Jesus as my saviour and surrendered unto HIM. Before that i could not even say the name of Jesus. Now, all i ever say is HIS name- i call on HIS name all the time. There is power in the name of Jesus. I could not stop reading the word before that i was ignorant. We never had a bible at all, there was a missal, which we never even read. Jesus forgave while hanging on the cross in absolute agony. We have no right to hold onto that offense for Him when He, upon Whom it was perpetrated, forgave. "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do."

But it is helpful to let you know which kind of food you really need. Trying to observe the Tanakh thinking you can make it on your own, you try to be like God. In other words you try to accomplish the prediction of the serpent in Eden because you give credit to his words, just like Adam and Eve did.

I saw a video of a group of Chinese Christians opening a box full of Bibles. They were overjoyed, praying and kissing the Bibles. It was heartwarming to see. Here in the west there is little danger to be Christian. That isn't always the case in many parts of the world. God bless those that risk their safety for faith in Jesus. Please keep them safe.

Great praise be to Yahweh. I am a Christian as a result of the great commission and obedience of missionaries. I have this unexplained feeling for the Jewish brethren and couldn't understand at first why they could not accept Jesus as the messiah. Watching your tube begins to clarify that to me.
I spent some time with Messianic Jews in Bondi Sydney Australia as part of a Prayer for Israel group. Meeting Jews on that level was simply inspirational.

It is a terrible tragedy. Every Jew who leaves the fold csuses God to cry. And those instrumental in his defection, delusion and misstep cause anger and wrath to be brought to the world and delays the day the Messiah will come.
You are wasting your time. Better spend it doing deeds of goodness and kindness. Stop missionarising to the Jews. This is a terrible sin. If you haven't done it already, please visit the Holly Mountain (Athos) and try to learn about so many saints we have all over Eastern Church's territory such as Agios Paisios, Agios Porphyrios, Agios Iakovos, and Agios Efraim from Arizona. They truly have the Holy Spirit within them. Also there is a very nice book of fr. Peter Gillquist "Becoming Orthodox: A Journey to the Ancient Christian Faith". It is amazing! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Again I am a Gentile. It is amazing to read in Acts Paul's conversion from being a destroyer of the church to being a fervent defender of the church. On the road to Damascus it is as though Jesus switched on the light so that Paul could see the truth. He came to realize that all his rabbinical training and works were for naught. However, Paul quickly came to realize that the Jesus he persecuted was indeed his Messiah. He went from being a legalistic rabbi to the rabbi that came to know the liberty in Christ. (Of course, liberty from sin, and not liberty to sin.) It is amazing how quickly Paul changed his understanding that Jesus is not dead, but forever Our Lord and Savior.
George Hart I mostly agree with you, but the Rabbinical training Paul had received prior to his conversion was not all for naught. It couldn’t save his soul, only Jesus could do that…but that education did give him a fuller understanding when the truth about Jesus showed Paul how He was in all that Paul had learned about. I can only imagine how his brain exploded with the wealth of knowledge and understanding giving light to his previous knowledge of the scriptures. Plus he had the other apostles to help him sort out some of it with him because it must have been overwhelming. I love seeing that Christians were at first afraid of him because he was a persecutor of Christians, but realized quickly the miracle God had performed in Paul’s life. I have seen such a change in my own life as well, from darkness to light. ❤️🙂
@@LilyAmongThorns All that is true, but you must keep in mind how angry Jesus was with the Pharisees who condemned Him for healing on the Sabbath. It aggravated Jesus that some Pharisees thought if they "dedicated" their property to the temple, they would no longer be required to care for their parents. Jesus detested Pharisees who made a great show with their givings and their prayers. Jesus got very angry with the legalistic Pharisees which Paul was one at the time of his conversion. God is graceful to all of us.

Thank you for this video & discussion. As a Christian, I've always admired the Jewish culture and history. I remember being invited to a Passover Dinner and I was so honored to actually be part of such a beautiful tradition that I read about in the Bible. But my heart was saddened because the Jewish family that I was with made comments that made me realize that they actually didn't believe in the stories in Exodus and the host herself was atheist. I thought to myself "why are you doing this year after year and you don't believe?" I pray for God's will to be done in the hearts of the Jewish people all over the world. For Christians and Jews to come together, to praise our King!

Here in the Philippines I am one who has experienced good things, we are experiencing the wonders and miracles of JESUS, before there were serious diseases, vices and various problems in life, this has been changed by God, since JESUS be found... until now He continues to do good to us.

I used to think often of how Jesus was rejected by His own, and how could they not have seen Him for who He was. But then the Holy Spirit revealed to me that if they would have saw who He truly was and accepted Him, absolutely no one would have put Him on the cross, but rather worshiped Him as Messiah and we'd all be lost forever. That veil upon their eyes allowed the fulfillment of the prophecy of the Cross to die for all mankind.

I grew up not really accepting my faith - living an empty idealistic faith, governed by 'traditions'. My late mother was the second of 10 siblings of an Orthodox priest. She loved Jesus but never knew the fundamentals of her Orthodox faith. When I'd ask her to show me where a particular belief stood in the Bible, she would simply say that this is what we were taught. I debated with her and with time I was in a total denial of my faith. In 2006 I became a born-again Christian, and my life changed 180°. I couldn't believe how 'blind' we can be when we're embedded in legalistic-traditions of our faith. I experienced life-changing revelations and miracles in my life after this transformation; but this is another story.
Meanwhile, something very strange happened a couple of days before my mother passed last November. I was driving to the hospital, praying and crying for God's intervention to make her well. I was literally talking to God, and I said, "Lord, if you heal my mother, I'll do anything, I'll go anywhere you want me to. As in a flash of lighting, I saw Jerusalem beforeI me! I literally said. I bent over and picked it up. It was a small charm. And I ask you, what are the odds for anyone to find the six-pointed star of David in a hospital parking lot in Cyprus? At this point, I sadly say that the Lord took my mother. I think of this incident everyday and cannot make any sense of it... Can you perhaps?

First of all, I'd like to say I'm so sorry for your loss. But, have you thought that God actually answered your prayer by heal her completely from her pain and illness? I mean, she's now together with God and without any pain anymore. This is only my own thought, since I had experienced a same thing when I lost my brother years ago. I was angry and very sad, but when I got that thought I was in peace knowing my bro is in a good hand now. He wouldn't feel any pain anymore and he's completely healed. Hope this can strengthen you as well :)
God did heal your Mother just not in the way you wanted. Do you think she is sick in heaven? God has given her the best He possibly could have. God bless you ❤
For me I grieve that your mother passed but finding the Jewish symbol of the star for me was the Lord confirmation that He had heard your heart felt cry and desire. He was letting you know that it doesn’t matter where you are in the world He heard your cries and is either you constantly in every way possible. Don’t analyse it too much as the Lord Jesus spoke very simply and he is with you no matter what or where. You can use this as a great testimony to Him in every way. Lord bless and keep you and shower you with many abundant blessings each day 🙌🙏✝️

Also, even really reading the old ! So many times it seems they haven't read it much or thoroughly, and some even apparently have had Isaiah 53 removed from their scriptures (?)... . So, just to even prayerfully seek God and truth and read what you do think is or may be His word, for yourself ! Apparently Jews also have other books elevated to a high level which they spend a ton of time learning and focusing on. I would of course challenge them to take time to read the word of God only for awhile, and seek to hear Him apart from, and definitely above, man's teachings.

As a "Gentile" believer (I do have some Jewish ancestry though), it shows me that the fullness of said Gentiles is coming in, and has been such that, a remnant of all 12 tribes of Israel are saved and are being saved! I have a story as well. I am a Messianic Jew, and came to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I felt so much peace accepting Jesus into my life as a Jew, but it felt wrong to give up my old traditions. I chose to adopt Jesus’s teachings as a fulfillment to be added onto the Jewish teachings. I lay importance into both the Old and New Testament. I was sooo happy to see that people can be Jewish and Christian at the same time. I became a much better person since adopting Christianity and Jesus Christ Himself in my life alongside my Jewish practices in God :)
So thankful that you have discovered Jesus is the Messiah. ✝️
As to your struggle about the old traditions, please read Galatians 3 & 5 particularly.
The Messiah came to fulfill the law. So there are ceremonial laws that we no longer have to observe because they were foreshadowing His coming.
( Don't get me wrong, Jesus gave us instructions in the New Testament, too, among them a reiterating and further explanation of the majority of the 10 commandments. And, He says that if we love Him, we'll obey Him BECAUSE we're thankful for what He's done for us... but not to earn our salvation or His acceptance by keeping His law, for that would be works. And we are not saved by what we do, but by what He did / does.

As a Christian more than a few Jewish friends from when I was a child up until now, I have always been grateful for my Jewish roots, and how the Jewish faith is the “grandfather” of my Christian faith. But I have been of heavy heart, because I don’t /didn’t know how God is going to do this thing and save my friends through Christ and it does my heart so good to find this channel and hear this. I had the same experience going into the Catholic Church. I joined thinking it was the right thing to do after being raised Baptist my whole life and a believer in Jesus. I did have incentive as my spouse is catholic and we married in a Catholic Church. I slowly realized I made the wrong decision and the Lord removed me from the church. He basically didn’t let me participate in the Catholic Church even after converting. I’m so grateful for Jesus Christ allowing me into his life and saving me over and over. He is my Savior and my best friend. Praise Yeshua.

I am a Christian. I accepted Jesus in my heart when I was four years old. I love the Jewish nation and pray for the salvation of Israel every day. I have told my Jewish friends about Jesus and pray for them that they will one day believe. Jews for Jesus, keep up the great work. I encourage you to keep going. Their is nothing more beautiful than a Jewish person who believes in Jesus. And as the scripture says, “how lovely on the mountains are the feet of him who bring good news. Announcing peace, proclaiming salvation, who say to Zion, You God reigns!”

As a Gentile believer in Yeshua I am always thrilled to hear about a Jewish person coming to faith in Him. To me, Yeshua is like the final piece of a jigsaw puzzle for Jewish people. When they receive Him, He brings revelation and understanding to their minds. Finally, things fall into place and they see the complete picture - everything finally makes sense for them. They are a completed Jew. So wonderful how glorious God is!!

This was so heartwarming 💕 thank you so much. Had me in tears-how great our God is. Ive been told by some jewish people to not use that name-Jesus. They use the name to blaspheme though. This breaks my heart. I continue to pray for them. There is such power in the name of Jesus. Ive been confronted by a mozambique cobra snake (highly venomous) it was mesmirizing my then 3 yr old son. I lifted my hand and said in the name of Jesus be gone. The snake dissappeared. It never slithered away, it vanished. To God be the glory. I was raised Roman Catholic and thought we were the chosen. In 1980, i accepted Jesus as my saviour and surrendered unto HIM. Before that i could not even say the name of Jesus. Now, all i ever say is HIS name- i call on HIS name all the time. There is power in the name of Jesus. I could not stop reading the word before that i was ignorant. We never had a bible at all, there was a missal, which we never even read. Im so grateful that HE came after me, plucked me from the miry clay & set me free and showed me the way. The truth 🙌 🙏 HE is my everything..die unto self and follow HIM. There is no looking back.
