This was sooo good! Great discussion, Jenny was the perfect guest to have for this topic. Thank you for all the information you ladies provide. I have been eating plant based foods since 2016 and I enjoy it. One of my favorite gems in this video is when Jenny mentioned the commercial from the Superbowl about synthetic meat being processed. I went to go watch the commercial after I finished this video. The fact that The Center for Consumer Freedom paid 5 million dollars for that commercial speaks volumes. I really was wondering why literally OUT OF NOWHERE sooo many people starting saying vegan meats were bad. The hypocrisy, crazy world we live in 😭

funny enough - it was the got milk campaigns that got me off milk. The more I went into it - the more fruity and jungly it was. So I followed the 'white gold is white gold' - as it was genius how the milk guitar turned the scrawny person into a rockstar. So the more you followed it - the more activities they had. One of them was a postcard - it said 'let's do smoothies sometime'. I thought it was so amazing - it became the essence of my being. So I shared it with people and we'd get smoothies. So the rockstar's songs had a lot of jungle around them and there was something (maybe with the tropicana brand or this one) where the more you came back - the more trees got planted and wild animals appeared. So the smoothies would paint that picture. Pair that with the verb now campaign that with me having my eyes open to got milk - I was seeing other stuff too - I got into health along with coolio's poster of reading books and korn's corn book cover - reading about health in libraries and learning about the animal industry - to be 'healthier' - as the got milk campaigns were a push to be healthier - all this made me more educated, healthier, and plant-based. It was a transition that made sense why so many got pushed into veganism from these got milk campaigns - because it worked in doing that!

if people don't like 'over-processed' - there's a brand called 'eat meati' - it's 95% mushroom root. The rest is just some oat fiber and beet juice (and maybe salt or something). People can always roast a portabella.

What a great concept. It's women who buy the food, so a focus involving women with this issue just makes total sense. I was watching a piece on "paleo" eating which looked at remaining hunter/gatherer societies - they should be called "gatherer/hunter", because the great majority of what they eat comes from gathering by ... women! :)

90%+ of women buying groceries is crazy. This is such an old fashioned 1970s perspective. As a man, the only form of shopping I enjoy is food shopping, I like choosing healthy organic produce, decent wholesome grains and bread, and real foods. There's literally no need to have ultra processed junk in our diets. Male or female ;)

Yeah, I'm a guy who does his own food shopping ... it's not rocket science, :) Still, my impression is that women do carry out the significant majority of food shopping, for whatever reason. The same thing has been seen in "paleo" hunter/gatherer societies. the women are the main providers. Sorry guys. :)

You know as mamy of friends have lids i have realized that they dont naturally gravitate towards meat. So many of them don't like it and are almost force to eat it " just take a bite"

lunchables is the #1 nemesis to veganism, yet the #1 helper to it too. Everyone who's a kid wants to play with their food - that's what makes lunchables so successful. The thing is - putting together a turkey and cheese sandwich is disingenuous - it does a disservice to kids. Vegan foods are much more fun to play with. I bet vegans can do better.
