Awesome update!!Would be great if you could add more presets in other genres such as Techno, Selected House style, Future House etc.

Why are all the chords Minor? House music has major scales in it too. If you made it that way(minor only) then why is there a choice between minor and major?

When you import a chord progression, the Engine will try to guess the correct scale. However, this guess might be wrong. This is the reason why you can set the scale manually to tell the Engine which scale you are using (for example, a chord progression on the A Minor scale would be a perfect fit for a C Major scale as well, because A Minor and C Major use the same notes on the keyboard. The Engine might guess A Minor for you, but you can change the "associated scale" to C Major to tell the Engine that you want to work with C Major in this case).

    When Techno Engine?!

I am not so sure about TechnoEngine. I really like Techno, but the melodic/harmonic aspects are quite minimal imho. On the other hand, a generator for minimal melodic techno or a "dark lead melody" generator might be interesting.. we will see ;)

I bought it 2 days ago from Turkey,it's the best midi generator on the market now, just need one thing for it's eco system, custom user chords and editable bassline pool in the interface.!This could be huge..And other users can reach to another user's custom midies..How it sounds?

ChordPotion is a good choice for this then: feelyoursound.com/chordpotion.
ChordPotion reacts to the incoming chords in realtime (this is different to HouseEngine). You can create own sequences there, and you can also import/export preset packages.
HouseEngine relies on a relatively complex scripting engine which works in the background to generate the results. Creating a proper user interface would be quite a big task as it would require more than "just" editable basslines.

Does this actually generate midi or is it all just preset midi notes

    • @feelyoursoundHQ

It generates MIDI notes, yes! I wrote a small article about this, because the amount of randomness depends on the preset type: feelyoursound.com/will-houseengine-melodies-always-sound-the-same/

is it possible to add randomization to the presets in a future update?

    • @feelyoursoundHQ

The presets are already randomized (depending on the preset type). Please take a look here: feelyoursound.com/will-houseengine-melodies-always-sound-the-same/

I don't understand very well, are the presets static, always the same?

I decided to write a small article about this, as the answer doesn't fit into one sentence. Please take a look here: feelyoursound.com/will-houseengine-melodies-always-sound-the-same/

I just bought, thanks for the explanation, it would be very useful if it is possible to import midi files in the banks related to styles and categories
