Grace's Can Am was making a noise that sounded almost like it had marbles in the transmission. So I tore it apart to find out what the problem was and to fix it. #Can Am, #DS90X,
You have to look real close at each part of each gear. The smallest fracture causes a ticking sound. Just had to put 1st gear in my boys ttr50 and to look at the gear and see how small the problem was blew my mind. Put your bearings in the freezer and then heat the case next time brother and it'll usually fall right in.
Hey I have same problem with mine . And on the one pully you said you put a new snap ring in it .I can afford all the parts for internal .but that one gear that was lose .and needs a snap ring ...does it half be new rings .and my clutch fork Thang has some wear on it does it need changed as well all info I can get will be much prciated an .we're I can I get most reasonable price on my parts .I'd hate to junk it cause it has a real motor .and I'd be interested in sales or buyn another one for parts .if there's one out there ty .preciate it if you could get back with me ...
I don’t believe I had those 2 washers inside when I took it apart. I also didn’t order them. I’m really needing to get this thing back together before the weekend. Wondering if I might be able to substitute some other washers or run without.
I would recommend going to the Rockymountainatvmc website and looking up your year and looking at the diagram to verify that they should be there on yours. If they have them in stock it usually only takes a few days to ship.
Hey, I just took part a transmission on a 2009 ds 70, as I was pulling the case off a ball bearing and a spring fell out. I have no clue where they go. I’ve looked on web diagram as well, they don’t show up on there. All my bearings are intact.
The spring and ball are part of the "gear fixed ass'y" it is in the left crankcase parts diagram, number 12. They go in the hollow bolt right above the shift drum. The ball rides in the dimples on the top of the shift drum. Take the bolt out and then reassemble the gearbox and then drop the ball in the hole on the shift drum and put the bolt in with the spring inserted.
Very helpful. Great.shots , & helpful info on parts ordering also. Good job bud. :)

Man I need everything the four wheeler that I bought does not have a transmission where can I find one that is $200 or less
Its hard to change gears on my ds 90 2015 what you think it could be ?
I would try adjusting the shifter bracket first.
where did you find parts?
