" Don't expect me to get off the Ark to argue with someone who doesn't even know it's raining" is another one. . . THINK ABOUT IT, .😇 KEEP YOUR EYES ON JESUS Y'all ✝️ FAITH OVER FEAR DEAR SAINTS 👍
I could listen to these old cowboy's everyday. Man cannot wait for the next one. Was a Ranch Hand for 5 years in Northern AZ. Right next to the Petrified Forest. Best job i ever had. I learned allot out there. Thank you for sharing great video...
The gentlemen you were interviewing, his hat had the most corrector I have saw in a long time, down to the round vent hole, enjoyed his knowledge believe he is about my age (81?) Thamks
Fantastic video, i love listening to old cowboys they have the best stories, thank you Trinity for all you do to bring awareness and appreciation of life in the west
God bless you and your precious loved ones also 😇 We are seeing Bible Prophecy coming to pass before our eyes and we were born for such a time as this. As a daughter of a dairy farmer… it’s a 24/7. By the time you get the milking, feeding and cleaning… it was time to start all over…. You have to love the life!!!! No vacations…. You start at 3am…. Your work ends at maybe 2:30…Then it starts up again at 3/3:30….
Thank you so much for this video. I have always loved hearing people's stories. As a young physical therapist I moved from PA to CO. I had older patients who told stories of crossing the plains in covered wagons as children, riding in stage coaches to get from Pueblo to Denver. People's lives are fascinating if we take the time to listen.
Over the years I've always looked at how the old barns and sheds were constructed. The timbers in this barn are simply beautiful. On a side note, I ride an iron horse and don't ever let my guard down.
I could listen to that man All day everyday while working and never tire of it. Great history and education in all of it. Thanks for getting this for posterity and posting it for all interested. Yeah, 4 wheelers have their place but horse and leather be like driving a vintage car. Nothing compares. Thank you and be safe.
I enjoyed seeing the family saddles and hearing the stories. I worked in a custom saddle shop and always enjoyed restoring well made antique saddles. They were definitely built to work hard and last. The homemade buck rolls. The bear trap and the old tree styles. The 3/4 or 5/8 rigs on the square skirt saddle, the in-skirt rigging on the Hamley saddle, oxbow stirrups and loop through seat was cool. Fine collection! Reminded me of the saddle museum at Kings saddlery Cool stuff! Great video!
Thank you s for sharing the truthful and so very interesting stores of our nostalgic past. My grampa was a real cowboy on their cattle ranch in Alberta, Canada. Sure miss him.
I went to a huge auction about 40 years ago and found a custom made bronc saddle with the metal horn. Bought it for $120 and it was the best saddle for my lower back. As a young girl, I had a few nasty horse wrecks so was real happy to find a comfortable ride. I still use this saddle. And yes, when you get popped out this rig, you really don't know where you will land. The West has a treasure trove of stories - from the past and present!!!
Love, love your channel with all of your stories and important facts you bring us…great job!!! Sure wished they would bring those saddles in and protect them better. Would love to know the history and wished there was some of the people who rode in them were still around…can you imagine the stories they would tell us!!! I’ve done a lot of research on my family and was amazed to what I found out and where we came from and where we came into America 🇺🇸. Keep up the great work…sure love what your doing…stay safe and God bless 🥰.
That's right 👍 God has truly blessed and protected and provided for His precious children 😇 We were born for such a time as this, so excited with each day that the Lord gives us. We are seeing Bible Prophecy coming to pass before our eyes 👀
That was the fastest 20 min of my day!! Great video - great stories - wonderful saddles! Having had a couple 'wrecks' myself, I cannot imagine what was going through his mind as he was 'skiing' and bouncing '... across the field, the road and through the barbed wire"!! Great stories Trinity! Thank you so much!
my favorite saddle...the ladies saddle. favorite story...being dragged by the horse. best cowboy novel storyline...dying in the saddle. that's how john dutton should go out in yellowstone. what an ending! loved the stories trinity. you are the best narrator i've heard in quite some time. thanx!
Loved that video. Old timers are so wise and have great stories. I talk to old timers every chance I get. You can learn more in one hour, than you can doing it yourself in a month.
I’ve never met an old Cowboy that wasn’t busted up. God bless the Cowboy. That tack shed, if it could yarn, could sure tell some stories i think. Thanks fellas. Oh dear, (@5:26) the man says the saddle was from the Dr who delivered his Ma, a Powder River saddle. I only just now finished watching ‘Powder River’ (UA-cam) 1953! Small circle we horseman.
What a great video! Seriously, y'all should make a documentary about ranch life & definitely include these two, and other ranchers who can spin yarns about the past, as well as tell it like it is in the here & now. More like this! Very well done!
i agree with him on milking.... we only have one cow - hereford/highlander, with only three working udders. but she makes more than plenty. feed the pigs, chickens, pour it over dog scraps, and still have enough for bottlefed lambs or goats AND your bowl of cereal or whatever recipe you're working on. i also have milk goats...i dont think either species is "easier" than the other though. it depends on how tame they are. most days our cow is easy, but we almost had a bad day when the barn cat was hanging around UNDER her, waiting for his share... she moved her foot and stepped right on him. he curled up over the foot like a pissant and bit the crap out of her. that launched her forward like a rocket, right where my son was standing. i was beside her doing the milking. everyone and everything went in all directions. the cat was ok.... and so was the cow btw..... nothing is worse than a cat bite. i was worried she might get an infection in that foot but i guess their hide really is thick enough to handle it! and yeah i'd still rather go through that than a grocery store.
Wow, such a interesting video. Always wanted to farm. Worked on farms in the summer when I was a kid but wasn't born into it. In my 40s now and still trying to afford one.. Hopefully it will happen before its too late for me..
They stories that he shared with you make me miss my father-in-law he would tell me about when he was a kid and then a young farmer/ rancher he was very diverse he had beef, milk cows and sheep. Even pugs for a while. He was flood irritating over 200 acres as well as butchering for himself and other people. That generation were tough hard working men and women.
Great history he has there! Love those old bear trap saddles! Happy the cool old barn didn't burn down! I sure like your videos, thanks for posting them.
I was in my neighbor's barn to see some calves and saw a saddle. They didn't have horses. So I asked if he used to ride. He looked confused and then seemed surprised to see the saddle. "Oh that. That was my grandpa's." It hasn't been used in decades. Their house and barns are filled with things from their grandparents, who were the original homesteaders. There's a lot of history out in the prairies still.
YES!! I am thrilled that you got to chat with that ol' cowboy (I forgot his name) and once again the idle chit-chat is so informational as you guys bounce around subjects & issues dealt with back in the days of the west!! Loved the story of the gentleman who passed on in his saddle! I hope you continue to find these ol leather polishers and bring out the real people of yester-year. Thanks for the latest video and a great day there in that barn - what a great way to spend a day!!
Slick forks, bucking rolls (squaw tits), open gullets, tall withered horses, real cowboy stuff! While I envy your life, I'm too old for that life anymore! Some stories should start "I'm lucky to be alive! Let me tell you what happened!". ;)
Haha. I've had a dislocated hip (put that on your to avoid list), neck issues from almost getting it broken, torn muscle in my L leg from a horse being ridden by a friend that kicked my horse but also got my leg, and got my R foot turned backward when a horse fell with me. That knocked the wind out of him, so it took a bit for him to get up and release my leg/foot. Now I'm 73. Got lots of random aches. 😁
Yup, milking cows. I’m about to start again! Yes, farming/ranching is definitely less forgiving! Everything we do on the farm/ranch has life and death consequences.
The old bear trap saddles were the first ones used in rodeo. The Cowboys Turtle Association. They were outlawed because they were deemed an unfair advantage. That's when they went to the Association Saddle. All bronc riders had to use the same Saddle to make things fair. The early using saddles were narrow because the horses were mostly of Thourobred blood. The Quarter horses were'nt used until the 30s &;40s.
Interesting vlog! I have a homestead with cows and goats. Mixed milk products are wonderful. I milk the animals once a day. Cows in the morning, goats at night. Been milking like this for a few decades.
Love those old Hamley saddles. Ranching changed in the last 100 years. I worked on them in my younger years. These stories line up with all the ones I have lived or experienced.
Those stirrups on that saddle he could'nt remember the name of are called Oxbow Stirrups. They use those today in Reined Cow Horse events. They help you not lose a stirrups.
My godfather had what appeared to be part of a saddle hanging in the well shad, it was wooden and had no leather on it, i think it was the skeleton to make a saddle, but ive never found out anything about it except its very very old - Prince's ( half Walker half Quarter horse ) saddle was bought in the mid 60s
What great story's and experiences you guys shared, that barn looked very old I wonder when it was built, the big cobblestone at the entrance was interesting maybe used like a foot scraper I guess.
Great music choice. Fits the drama of the stories. Great stories. Nothing more dramatic than the truth of someone's history and the older the person, the better the stories.
Trinity, what an interesting man. The history, saddles, and the barn are inspiring. Thank you, all three of you.
The real deal🤙🏻😎💯
“Well boys looks like we bout beat the storm” that’s a poetic, cowboy ending
It sure is. I’ve actually said it myself. (I was wrong, but we won’t talk about that.) 😄
Classic! Love the stories!
Bingo PAL 💯🤙🏻😎
" Don't expect me to get off the Ark to argue with someone who doesn't even know it's raining" is another one. . . THINK ABOUT IT, .😇 KEEP YOUR EYES ON JESUS Y'all ✝️ FAITH OVER FEAR DEAR SAINTS 👍
What a way to go. GREAT history & stories
Absolutely loved hearing his stories and seeing those saddles...amazing. Thanks to the gentleman for sharing this glimpse of a well lived life.
Thank you for helping this man tell us about his life story. Much respect.
I'll bet he has a treasure trove of stories. What a rich history he can tell❤.
Really enjoyed the history about the saddles, so interesting. What a tough chap he is chatting to you in his shirt sleeves!!
Thats for sure.
How to make a small fortune ranching: Start with a large fortune...
I could listen to these old cowboy's everyday. Man cannot wait for the next one. Was a Ranch Hand for 5 years in Northern AZ. Right next to the Petrified Forest. Best job i ever had. I learned allot out there. Thank you for sharing great video...

Love the history. We’re on land my in-laws bought in ‘42. Red gambrel roofed barn 1902c still standing strong.
Love the old barns.
GR8 post,
🤙🏻😎💯
Love the videos keep up the good work. I want to get into ranching can you make a video about how to start ranching?
This was so very interesting. Thank you and your friends for the lessons. Also, the high view of the property is breathtaking.
Yeah. Very pretty country, even in winter.
God is soooooo amazing and faithful to protect and provide.😇👍🙏
I enjoyed this latest video Trinity.

Those old Hamley saddles are worth a small fortune, not to mention the Powder River. They knew their saddles! Thanks for sharing this great story!
I enjoy listening to the old timers stories. Seeing some of the gear that has been handed down through the generations.👍

Yes. Dairy farming has the longest hours and largest commitment of anything I can think of…. Besides marriage maybe. 😁

Thank you for watching. I am so glad you enjoy what I do. 👍
Awesome video Trinity, very informative!!!
Trinity has such an anointed name. Praying God's abundant blessings for all of us.😇✝️💜🙏👍
Thanks so much for sharing this vid, this old cowboy super interesting bet he has some real good stories to tell. 😄👍
He sure does. The old timers lived differently than us. Their lives were very closed to the outside world and very immersed in their work.
I enjoyed seeing the family saddles and hearing the stories.
I worked in a custom saddle shop and always enjoyed restoring well made antique saddles.
They were definitely built to work hard and last.
The homemade buck rolls. The bear trap and the old tree styles.

Great video!
That was a great visit listening to Dave's stories. Thanks for sharing that! Can't wait to see what's next.
Thank you s for sharing the truthful and so very interesting stores of our nostalgic past. My grampa was a real cowboy on their cattle ranch in Alberta, Canada. Sure miss him.
Glad I could bring back some memories. I would love to go ride on a ranch in Canada. Trying to put that together. We will see.
If you find one near Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, let me know. I'd hike there if I had too ... I'm 74 in May ... 😆 🤣 😂

People in the cities are sick 😂 I wish I can live that life
Great episode Trinity!

My old dad used to say..."Riding horses is easy. You keep one leg on one side, the other leg on the other side, and your mind in the middle. "
I’m Pendleton Oregon born and raised so was excited to see the Hamley saddle!!
What a great video of a very interesting man. Loved the history! Thank you!
I had a home care client who was found in his truck as he had gone out to check the cattle. Ranchers/farmers go out with their boots on.
Life was amazing and definitely hard back in the day. Thanks for sharing stories with us Trinity ❤😊
I could really listen to this gentleman speak a lot more. Thanks Trinity
