Yes do a review of all accessories,--esp. the front and rear racks because for many people this will be used as practical transportation than just fun biking. For us Flatlanders in FL the Class 2 version savings may be used to add racks, etc. Great reviews EE.
Absolutely. This bike has plenty of power for the "Flatlanders of the FL." We will definitely work on a accessories video. Unfortunately July looks like the earliest that video will be out, as all the Juiced accessories are not slated to be available until then. Thanks for watching! -JT
By far, the most comprehensive review I've seen on this bike and extremely informative. I ordered a RipRacer last week for that great sale price but I wish they'd get on the ball at Juiced since they already charged my CC 3 days ago and it hasn't even been shipped yet. Really looking forward to this. It will be my first e-bike. I bookmarked/favorited your video since it was so useful, especially in how to engage Race mode.
I just got this bike for $799 (Class II version) and I'm psyched. This is my second Juiced bike. The first one, RipCurrent, has has held up despite lots of bad weather and all kinds of terrain for past five years.
Hey Ryan, great review. We just got my wife's RipRacer today. We set it up in about 45 minutes. We went for a ride and she loves it. We purchased two RipCurrent S bikes a couple of years back. She has always felt that she was over biked and wanted something more nimble but still with a fat tire. I was initially skeptical of the single gear but after I rode it realized that you can make up for the lack of lower gears with the throttle. One just needs to adjust their habits. I found it quite fun to ride and will probably steal a ride on her new bike occasionally. After we went for our ride, I started looking for more RipRacer videos and found yours. We were really glad we did and both thought you were very thorough and did a great job of presenting its features. Additionally, I really didn't miss the torque/cadence sensor on my RipCurrent S.
I think the RipRacer is sporty and cool, and I've always respected Juiced build quaility and performance. A friend has a HyperScrambler 2, and while racing he could almost keep up with my Rad Mini. Those bottle cage bosses give you three positions to mount your bottle or lock, but it also gives you a place to mount another battery! 😉 Thanks for the video!
Yeah, I saw the FOUR bottle mounts and immediately thought, "That would VERY securely fit a 4 screw hailong type battery." I'd be willing to bet that was not an accident ;)
I have never seen anything from Juiced that states you can add an extra battery there. Where are you seeing this? I would thing if that was an option they would have that option.
I just used your link to buy the Rip Racer! I was contemplating using another UA-camr's link but I super appreciate the work and effort you put into making this video. I know it wasn't easy! Keep up the good work.
Well presented, informative review. Nice to hear a review from an adult who is not trying too hard to be “dope” or “hip” which just ends up being immature. As a shorter rider, I really appreciate the choice of a smaller framed bike like this without a lot of extras which keeps the initial price reasonable. Love the BMX bars, knobby tires, and single speed, no derailleur gearing, the only thing I would like to see as a possible option are alloy wheels for looks and low maintenance.
Thank You for reviewing the bike. I was on the fence of getting the bike. My hesitation was because I'm six two and thought the bike may be too small. I bought the Rip Current S and love the bike. It is very similar to the speed results and would love to have the bigger controller. I still think the RipRacer is an awesome bike for the money. The only thing I wouldn't like on the Rip Racer, is taking out the battery to turn on the bike. The battery is heavy. Thanks again and just subscribed.
Just got my wife's Rip Racer today. Took about 45 minutes to set-up (we took our time and watched the Juiced video on setting it up). You don't have to take the battery all the way off to access the power button. Turn the key; pivot the battery about two inches; hit the power button and reseat. Easy peasy and because you are pivoting the battery you don't even feel the weight of it.
Please do a video on the accessories. I just ordered one the other day. I purchased all of the accessories and the horn/alarm 🚨. With tax it came out to $1942 with a $100 off Mother's Day coupon. I got the blue one coming. I'm excited to finally purchasing my first ebike. It was expensive but it will be worth it. I want to use it to travel to work and back and to get fit again with exercise. I will love using the pedal assist and different options there as well. Also the idea of having a throttle only is nice as well. God bless. Great video on this bike. Jeff - Sunny Central Florida
Great review! I had their Camp Scrambler (the 'S' indicated 'Sport' mode) and it was a total beast! I actually sold it to a friend and replaced it with the Rad Mini, more appropriate for my ripe old age!
Excellent review! Good details on the Ripracer and how it performs. I look forward to your reviews. I'd like to see you review the new Luna Eclipse in the future.
Nice job reviewing (as usual). I like that you added the Yepp Maxi to the Ride1Up Cafe Cruiser review you recently did and the rack for the Juiced RipRacer looks like it has a window specifically for the Maxi. I would like to see an accessory video that confirms if rack does or does not accommodate the Maxi. Big Thanks!!!
Thanks! From looking at it their rack isn't compatible with the Maxi though it might be possible if you buy the Thule plate. That window looks like it might be able to handle some quick-release baskets of some sort.
thank you for this review! i have a CCX and LOVE it but for Christmas i have ordered the RR for my 10yr old girl that has been begging for a button oin her bike yeah she knows what an ebike will do! lol i used to have a regular bike i installed a hilltopper kit on thats where she got the button.. i am so stoked for christmas morningand she sees what is under the tree!
Would have loved to see that boost feature they talked about. When using pedal assist also use the throttle apparently that’s how u get to the peak 1300 watts 🤔
We used the "Race" mode that you have to unlock. The off-road controller might be what you are referencing by "Boost mode". That controller is not currently available or we also would like to see what this little bike is capable of.
I don’t fully understand the point of “race mode” I guess I understand that it give higher peak wattage, but it didn’t result in a higher top speed…did you try accelerating in race mode from a stop vs other modes…maybe it is stronger/faster acceleration? I was considering buying a Lectric XP 2.0 and then saw this. I know it’s more…$1699 now instead of $1599, but it seems like some things are nicer here than the Lectric…not much more range though and I don’t really care if I go 15mph up a hill as long as whichever one I buy can do a hill, which I know the Lectric can. That might make a good video…comparing this, the Lectric XP 2.0 and Lite…as the Lite doesn’t have fenders and stuff either for $799. Any idea when the rack and fenders will be available from Juiced for this Rip Racer…they say out of stock currently.
From what we gathered with chatting to Juiced: Race mode doesn't give a higher top speed (as it is limited), but rather it gives the motor complete access to available wattage, and provides better acceleration. Also about the accessories. We were originally told they would be available in July, however it does look like that date has been removed from the website. We will reach out and see if we can get a better "in stock" date. -JT
great video as always ... really enjoyed your hands on and up close modelling of features... I would like to have seen a side shot of you on bike to get a real look at how a six foot person looks with feet on the pedals.. rolling shot is bent and blurry .. please do an accessory video as that would lend a lot to what you would recommend ... you know seat posts with spring and lights pedals and any security locks or tips for keeping honest people honest... thanks again... Andy
I have a juiced rip racer. I was thinking of adding a suspension seatpost. Could you advise the dimensions of the seatpost & also which suspension seatpost you feel would be best suited to the rip racer. Love the bike. Great power & far above any other bikes in its class .
My FRONT tire is rubbing on my NEW Juiced RipRacer. Almost like the brake is slightly on. The wheel does not spin. Do I just need to ride to break it in? Calliper does not seam to be centered on rotor and getting worse.
Sounds like your wheel circumference is off in your settings because they definitely don’t go that fast. my riding partner has one. Both bikes have the exact same Bafang motor and a Aventon has a smaller battery. I for one have used my gears maybe once. most ebike riders rely more on assist levels than gears.
The XPremium is hard to beat for the price. I think the Juiced RipRacer is meant for a slightly different crowd. I don't think you can go wrong with either. -JT
I am so torn between this one and the Luna Eclipse! I like the speed and power of this one with its 52v battery and 25 amp controller, and I love this high viz yellow color! The biggest bummer for me is that it has no suspension! The Eclipse is also a BMX style 20” folder with dual suspension, but mechanical brakes and only gets to 25mph. I would really appreciate your help ;)
We have not ridden any Luna ebike, so our advice can only speak to how awesome the RipRacer is. The speed and overall fun of this RipRacer are a lot of fun. Also worth noting that you could add a front suspension fork for under a couple hundred bucks. -JT
Noise of the tires. Big tires look cool use lots of power limiting range and they are tubeless. flat tire means you need a new tire. Big tires suck on turns.
Nice review! its interesting or there are enough space in the rear to put 7speed caset? With modification of 7 speed caset in rear ant 58 tooth cranckset in fronth (afccoursse you will need rear deilure ant shiffter) but will be a beast!
Please review the Rip Current base model which is just $200 more than the Rip Racer, and Rip Current S, with the Rip Racer, then an accessory review for each. The Rip Current S seems to have mostly only extra accessories, and they're not offered sold separately now, for the Rip Current base model... Great, thorough review on the Rip Racer. Thanks.
I guess there is no reason a guy that wants to mod it can't send off for a 3,000 watt rear motor and kit. 52V extra battery on the rack. Might get 40ish mph. Just need to know which motor and wheel kit is best to use for 52V ..👍 Would be clean if a new 40 amp controller worked in place of the current controller.. Hidden.
Is a lower min speed up a hill mean the bike has more torque? What is the speed test up the hill trying to show. Shouldn't you start at the bottom of the hill from a dead stop?
Just the power of the motor. A lot of people want to know whether X bike will make it up a certain hill in their area. Most often you'll have speed going into the hill.
That is such a specific question, that I would recommend going to Juiced with that. We have not seen any manufacturer offer a ebike for sale without a battery.
@@EbikeEscape I did and that was a NO! I purchased with a majority of your help thru this video! I hope you get CRED! Plan was to use a battery blender, with the Juiced stock 15,6 AH 52 V and blending with a52 V 15 AH. Blender claims do not go over 35 AH............ of course none of this will be done until the warranty is up. So stay tuned, Spark Cycle Work Branford Conn. "Battery Blender" any feed back would be appreciated.
These are all Chinese market bikes they import. It's meant for riders between 5 feet and 5.5 to zip around crowded Chinese streets. It's basically worthless for any adult.
While Ryan is 6'0", he didn't find the bike worthless at all. I (being a 5'8" adult) found the bike quite comfortable and easy to ride. I do agree that the geometry is nothing like your standard bike, this has more of a BMX feel. Which I can see makes this bike not appeal to many. -JT
What's your inseam? (inseam is a much more important metric to determine frame size as two people the same height may require different frame sizes due to having different inseams.) I'm interested in this bike but having an inseam of 86cm, I'm worried that it might be too small. What is your opinion?
Here is a link to it: ebikeescape.com/electric-bike-accessories/ If you are looking for specific RipRacer accessories, we are still waiting for them to be available. Estimated availability is July 2022.
@@EbikeEscape I just found that out now lol.. I saw off road controllers for other models and someone stated that the owner of the company has one coming out for this bike that does 35mph throttle only! I might have to get this now. Thanks for the review and response
I am trying to narrow down my first ebike purchase. I am looking at the Ripracer and the Snapcycle S. I like the idea of having a smaller bike to throw in the back of my pickup to ride around at different locations. My area is somewhat hilly, and I am 5'11" and about 220. What would be recommended between these two bikes?
Depending on your stature the cockpit on the RipRacer might be a bit small, but it is a super fun ebike to cruise around on. Juiced also recently lowered the price of the RipRacer which makes it a hard bargain to pass up. -JT
They have a controller that they will sold seperately to unlock throttle at 32mph. Should have been free with the class 3 rip racer. Its why i canceled the pre order 😩😩
He said to follow local laws and regulations like 6 times. Do whatever you want. If you know how to go 20mph and not kill anyone you can probly' go 25 and not kill anyone. Great video otherwise!
I watched this video because I'm interested in the rip racer. Thanks for the review. I mite add one thing I don't like about bycyles and eBikes are the riders are so ignorant to the rules we are all suppose to follow to stay safe. You blew right through a stop sign. Yet you stated at the beginning to obey all you local laws. I use to live in Toronto. Bycyle riders there are just begging to die by the way they ride.
You are correct. Our top speed in Race Mode was 28mph. In order to maintain the Class 3 rating that is what we would expect. I do believe Juiced sells a offroad use only controller that would get going faster. However that is not what we have in our RipRacer. -JT
Not bad but the Ariel Rider Kepler 52V Electric Fat Tire Bike, is a better deal.. 1799 comes with fenders, rack, 1000W motor 20AH battery and 7 speeds. Just sayin...
There are better bikes with full suspension for the same price point as this one and for the same dollars you can DIY more power and customize it to fit your needs
$1,500 no gas required no licence required no inurance required, can pedal for exercise like a normal bike can go on sidewalks and trails and alot of other areas. Thanks to its weight and size u can bring it upstairs, elevators , in apartments and in some cars and suvs. I'm sure there are other benefits, but pretty much the only negative vs a motorbike is range and speed... any more questions? i understand u are ignorant and learning.
thats soo stupid expecting a bicycle w/a thin chain/thin tires thin fenders get a MC not a kids toy to tackle the backcountry...these riders are delusional
Yes, you could spend thousands of dollars on an eBike ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ and get something much higher quality. However, if you're looking for a basic model to try out eBiking this is a great choice. The assembly is easy as far as bikes go (took about an hour for me to do, I'm not an expert). All tools needed are included. I added the plastic mud guards you see and a more comfortable seat. The other reviews are correct that you're probably going to want a better seat (Giddy Up! Bike Seat is what I got - super comfortable). The battery easily handles a 2-4 hour ride if you add some of your own pedal power. I haven't even gotten it up to top speed yet - it is very fast. Components are not top of the line, but decent for the price and work just fine. It works great on dirt roads and singletrack and pavement although too heavy to do tricks or any serious technical mountain biking. I'm looking forward to using it a lot over the summer. Tons of fun!
@@EbikeEscape Excellent video with very detailed, much needed info. I'd rather learn about a bike, like you provide, while doing a walk-thru of it, instead of watching someone ride around on one. Keep up the great work! We appreciate it!

@@EbikeEscape thanks much! I did end up buying this bike and will add a suspension seatpost, and a front suspension per your recommendation!
$999 now for class 3. I wish the top bar came straight back to the seat. Also you have to spend $249 to upgrade it's speed
Noise of the tires. Big tires look cool use lots of power limiting range and they are tubeless. flat tire means you need a new tire. Big tires suck on turns.
Big tires are good on turns wdym
Can that front fork be swapped out for a suspension fork?
Probably, but finding the right one will be tricky.
Would you say this is the best class 3 single speed ebike on the market? If not, which other one(s) should I check out?
Not many Class 3 single-speeds come to mind. Surely at the price point I think so. It's a super fun bike.
Nice review! its interesting or there are enough space in the rear to put 7speed caset? With modification of 7 speed caset in rear ant 58 tooth cranckset in fronth (afccoursse you will need rear deilure ant shiffter) but will be a beast!
Sorry, can't help you there. Maybe the Juiced owners Facebook group?
Great review what kind of helmet are you using?
Thank you.
This is the Bell Scout Air Helmet (amzn.to/3vUkL5g ) with the Air Shield (amzn.to/3Krv9Xf ) installed.
Thanks.
We are trying to do an RCS review - thanks for your comment.
The 74 gear crew would put wings on it and fly
👍🏽i been looking at this one🤔
Awesome, thanks for watching!
I was wondering if I could swap the seat, pedals and grips from my mountain bike.
Absolutely. Most ebikes use standard fitting parts. So swapping those parts over would be extremely simple.
Great review! Looking good in yellow 🌟
Can I purchase this bike with ZERO or no Battery? I have batteries here that do not get used.
Also excellent review!

Why is the frame so small? It looks sorta like a kids bike.
These are all Chinese market bikes they import. It's meant for riders between 5 feet and 5.5 to zip around crowded Chinese streets. It's basically worthless for any adult.
I think Juiced was going for a smaller BMX frame styling. Also worth remembering, Ryan is 6'0". So his height might dwarf the size a bit. -JT
-JT
⚡⚡ *Neon Yellow* 🤩⚡
please do an accesorie review fot the ripracer, thinking about buying this bike for my teen
how to open light
Despite having a bigger battery and stronger setup it's that slow?my 750w 48v11.2 ah ebike does 33 33
Juiced offers a offroad controller for people looking for all out performance. This ebike is designed to meet federal ebike regulations in stock form.
Ever ride a Zooz? Wonder what u think of that bike compared to this ripracer
We have not. They styling of the Zooz bikes looks awesome. We will add Zooz to the list of possible review bikes later in 2022. -JT
What's your inseam? (inseam is a much more important metric to determine frame size as two people the same height may require different frame sizes due to having different inseams.) I'm interested in this bike but having an inseam of 86cm, I'm worried that it might be too small. What is your opinion?
32 inch inseam. It's a smaller bike for sure but that's kind of the style they are going for on this bike. I still love it.
This would be a bmx type so sizing is less important than a mountain or road bike
Is this bike comfortable enough for someone 6”0 with long legs? Also does anyone know if you could upgrade this bike in any way?
I'm 6' tall - it feels like a smaller bike but I am totally fine riding it (you may be more particular which is understandable)
They don’t sell to Canada. That sucks…
Bummer!
Streets are horrible… where is that? Cleveland?
Ha, I agree - where do you live?
@@EbikeEscape - Southwest Florida..
Awesome bike
It sure is!
where is the aceseeries list
Here is a link to it: ebikeescape.com/electric-bike-accessories/
If you are looking for specific RipRacer accessories, we are still waiting for them to be available. Estimated availability is July 2022.
So the fastest model of this only goes up to 20mph without pedaling? Damn
Only because it is restricted via the controller. The motor and battery system are capable of much much more. -JT
@@EbikeEscape I just found that out now lol.. I saw off road controllers for other models and someone stated that the owner of the company has one coming out for this bike that does 35mph throttle only! I might have to get this now. Thanks for the review and response
So after calling them they aren’t sure if they are releasing controller anymore. But hopefully
Is the display backlit for night riding?
The Advanced LCD display on the Class 3 model is backlit. Uncertain about the Dot Matric display on the Class 2 model RipRacer. -JT
What helmet are you wearing in this review?
Here you go: ebikeescape.com/favorite-ebike-gear/
Can u do rip video with accessories please!
Thank you
It is definitely on our “winter list”
I know you said you’re 6 feet tall. I’m also 6 feet. Is it a comfortable ride for your height?
I personally feel comfortable riding it keeping in mind it has a shorter wheelbase. It's not a large frame just generally.
Is it for sure only 28mph bike?
Yes,, check out the top speed section of this video.
-JT
so you still have to peddle to get up to 28 in race mode? :/
Correct. In order to maintain that Class 3 rating, the throttle cannot be used past 20mph. As you can see, it isn't a tough pedal to do so. -JT
They have a controller that they will sold seperately to unlock throttle at 32mph. Should have been free with the class 3 rip racer. Its why i canceled the pre order 😩😩
How did u cancel? I’m trying to cancel and haven’t received a response in 4 days
He said to follow local laws and regulations like 6 times.
Do whatever you want. If you know how to go 20mph and not kill anyone you can probly' go 25 and not kill anyone. Great video otherwise!
Ha, thanks!
1300w Peak
Correct
Weird how this tops out at 20mph throttle only and other less powerful ebikes can top out at 30
It is due to US regulations. Some brands choose to not really follow these. -JT
If it only had a torque sensor.
If only your mom had a torque sensor.
I want to try a Juiced model with the Torque/Cadence combo
I don't think you'd want a torque sensor on a single speed bike with gearing that high.
@@18andlikeit I have a torque sensor on my Serial 1 Mosh City single speed. Much better than a cadence sensor bike.
Ok I watched the entire video, never saw you hit 34 mph or anywhere close to it.
So that pretty much says it all.
Kind of depends what you want, but yes - we're excited to review the Kepler!
2000 canadian dollars for a bike with no fenders!!! no thanks
I think these bike could be a lot cheaper, especially being made in China. Seems everything electric is over priced.
Those cables are a mess.
Заплатить 1300$ и разгоняться до 25 км/ч по ровной дороге ,это выброшенные деньги на ветер.
Made in China?
Yes, most ebikes are.
There are better bikes with full suspension for the same price point as this one and for the same dollars you can DIY more power and customize it to fit your needs
Please share links from reputable brands.
So disappointing you could not go 30mph😂
We think that is due to some limiting in the controller. Even this ebike at 28mph was a lit of fun to ride. -JT
@@EbikeEscape I'm sure it was meant to control wear and warranty claims.. Lol after warranty they should send a code to soup it up😁
Zzzzzzz
why wouldnt you just buy a motorbike . how much is this piece of crap
What
Huh
This is perhaps one of the most idiotic posts I've ever read on YT. Well done!
You do more talking than you do riding a bike
That is the format of our videos. All of the riding is at the end.
@@EbikeEscape
Excellent video with very detailed, much needed info. I'd rather learn about a bike, like you provide, while doing a walk-thru of it, instead of watching someone ride around on one.
Keep up the great work! We appreciate it!
