Removing yourself from an environment with mold and avoiding excess environmental and dietary toxins is never a bad idea, but I know it’s not always an easy fix. I’m struggling. I’ve been carnivore for 5 months and lost 4 lbs. I gave in and took a day off and had probably 150g of carbs. I’m not beating myself up over it. I’m reflecting on why I chose carnivore in the first place and what do I really want to achieve. So, tomorrow, June 1st, because I had an avocado this morning, I’m getting back on the carnivore wagon. Health is what I want to achieve. I want a normal blood pressure and a normal glucose reading, regardless of what the scale says. Thank you, Sarah, for sharing your story and thank you, Kelly for posting this video.

I was on it a month and I did actually feel pretty good. Clearing brain fog, skin itching greatly subsided, increased drive to do things, but still fight fatigue regularly. I lost weight but that wasn’t actually one of my goals. I actually discovered a new food allergy... to beef tallow ... of which I was unaware so that was good. Unfortunately my already higher cholesterol in one month soared to a total number of 446!!!! Yikes! My doc is going to go bonkers when I see her this week. So that is likely the end of my carnivore experience! 😢

Just started Carnivore Diet 10 days ago…I hope I can keep up with a basic meal plan. It grosses me out to even think about eating raw butter, and I do not enjoy any fish or seafood. I also do not eat any pork at all. I am 5’10 and currently at 232 lbs…and type 2 Diabetic. I have been working at lowering carb totals for almost a year. So, hoping that cutting carbs completely will not be to much of a struggle. I’ll have to try your recipe! Dry cottage cheese I’d hard to come by here. Do you live in the Northeast? It was in all the stores when we lived outside Philadelphia, but here in the Pacific NW, no stores have it. I make my “chaffles” with full fat mozzarella. I buy the chunks and shred at home, because I can buy full fat that way, with no potato starch or cornstarch added to the pre shredded, low fat mozzarella in bags. But I saw the keto twins say that adding xanthan gum will make the chaffles crispier. I’m always looking for tweaks… never want to go back to wheat or other grains! And I was a really good bread baker. Bread is my kryptonite.

@@floatingmoon5778 it is harder to find the dry cottage cheese but there is no junk in it like in the wet. I don't live in the US. Yes, there are variations that one can make to this basic recipe like adding the xanthan gum. A bit of coconut flour and or almond flour can be used too. Psyllium husk is another "stiffener". I get the way of eating for life, but i suppose i am lucky since ive never grieved or missed my sugar /carb addiction. I think its bc i started this to just feel better and reverse t2d. The wt loss of 80 lbs was just a huge bonus. Prior to ketovore/ then carnivore, i had ankles swollen like elephant legs, severe headaches that would wake me at 1, 3 and 5 am every single night for 3 months. Unable to walk up a flight of stairs without holding onto banister and so out of breath i thought I'd have a heart attack. At age 62 found these videos on UA-cam. Now age 64 , reversed t2d, off 14 meds, can sprint up and down the stairs, zero headaches, zero aches or pain and more energy than in 30 yrs. Skin looks younger, smoother all over, skin tags gone, varicose veins almost not noticeable. I feel fantastic!! ❤.

I also tend to overeat bacon and am off that at the moment. And boiled eggs were just not my favorite, UNTIL I tried chopping them up (I just run them through the egg slicer twice, first one way and then the other) and heating them in the microwave with some butter and salt. So I'm happy to say I have found a convenience food that I actually like but probably won't overeat.

Hi Sarah, great to see someone from the UK. I'm not carnivore, I'm pescatarian keto, but can totally relate to your difficulties carrying all that weight around and being addicted to carbs.
At my heaviest 8 years ago, I was 332lbs and felt desperately out of control with my carb addiction. I lost 95lb in 7 months on vegetarian keto, which was a huge improvement. However, I mistakenly believed I could reintroduce carbs into my diet, and have tried several times, but I simply can't moderate them. It's like asking an alcoholic to have just one glass of wine.
Since then, I've been yoyoing up and down with my weight, because each time I ate carbs, the cravings were out of control. I have currently been on track for a couple of months, and finally accepted that I can never go back to eating carbs. I'm now 262lbs so have a long way to go, but I'll get there.

You can do it! It sounds like you could use a second meal and/or butter snacks during the summer in order to have the energy to get things done around the homestead. Have you heard of Mike Mutzel and his company, Myoxience? He has an electrolyte mix made with Redmond Real Salt and monk fruit. The ingredients are good. I just received my cannisters today and had my kids and I drink a serving. My kids are ages 10-13, so mixed reviews from the peanut gallery, who are used to sugary Gatorade. But I must say I was pleasantly surprised at how good it is. I bet some of that over ice would be a healthy alternative to a margarita in a can and it will help you feel BETTER, not worse. Think of it as a carnivore pancake on Pancake Day. 😊
Also, maybe allow yourself some low carb, low oxalate fruit during the summer on the more ketovore side of things in order to stay on course? That is my plan for this summer, anyway. I figure I will burn it off quickly being more active outside and it will help me enjoy the summer and enjoy how good I feel while staying on track.😊 You got this!

I'm not sure if you came from keto but it sounds like strict carnivore doesn't fit your lifestyle at the moment. Ketovore might work better for awhile as you live with someone who will eat things in front of you that will tempt you less if you have keto/ carnivore friendly alternatives. You could make sugar free versions of the things to share with your hubby in the evenings. Also, experiment with two meals a day and up your fats so you are more satiated, have more available energy and are less likely to give into temptation. You can put berries into water and freeze them. Try vanilla flavour stevia drops in sparkling water with a bit of lime or lemon juice. Get your bloods checked if you don't notice an improvement in your energy levels. Good luck x

Still amazes me how strongly people are addicted to carbs. Proper junkies! They refuse to hear the truth and keep on eating poison. It blows my mind... the reaction most people have when they hear about keto/carnivore 😂

It's the nature of addictive substances, if you've never experienced addiction that is reinforced by the culture and marketing around you, you are very lucky.

Yes…no one cares if you are stuffing your face with cake and potato chips, but if you tell them you’re carnivore they say it’s going to kill you! 😂😂😂

Fantastic to hear such positive results, I am still teetering, but know I should fall on the carnivore side before its too late and some horrible disease catches up with me. Thank you so much Kelly and Sarah for encouragement. ❤

Perhaps begin now by weaning down your Carbs. Maybe a maximum of 100 grams per day for a couple weeks. Then less for the next few weeks, etc. Also,
I watch at least a couple videos every day. Either Kelly or Dr. Berry or Dr. Westman or Baker.
      Good Luck!

Thank you for doing these interviews. They are so motivational! And no it isn’t a straight line to weight loss & health. But we have to stick with it for life & we will see the benefit over time!! For sure remembering the non-scale victories is so helpful ❤
