    Let me see. Hmmm Ahhh, the top spark plug wire goes on the top cylinder, wow that was easy.
    Also and this is a big also.
    --> the reason you trip your kill switch on a boat with a CDI ignition and even some electronic ignitions is so you do not burn out your ignition. If you remove your spark plugs and the voltage that would normally go through that spark plug has no place to go it can easily burn out your ignition. It is not enough for that plug to just be in the cap, it has to be in the cap and grounded to metal on the engine.

      I usually pull the kill switch which shuts off ignition. I have tried both open throttle as well as closed and it's virtually the same on 2 stroke engines. 4 stroke yes open throttles

    I agree , motor s.b at operating temperature. Thats how you will be running on water. But, i think if motor starts on first shot, and runs smoothly...you probably are ok in compression. But if it gives hard time cranking over....then you should ck out. WDUTHNK

    Wow! I noticed a few things I would never do in this video......
    Never run an Outboard without water, the water pump requires water as lubrication. If you run an Outboard without water connected you will be destroying the impeller.
    Next you must bring the motor up to operating temperature to get an accurate reading. 2 stroke, 4 stroke doesn't matter ALL engines need to be at operating temperature! If this dude would warm the motor up first he would get completely different readings!

    • @JackedUpFishing
      @JackedUpFishing  8 місяців тому +2

      Actually I have tested that theory and numbers were in fact not that different. And another thing, I never ran the motor. You can turn the engine over either way starter without hurting your impeller. I work on engines and I can 100 percent tell you this is common practice on a 2 stroke.
