never got hook into deathcore with the so called 'leader of the genre' suicide silence.. getting interested with black dahlia murders.. now i'm into it full time, the new deathcore is sick and i love it..
I think it'd be cool if they did what Periphery did on their last two albums and release album instrument stems so musicians can record and produce their own covers of Lorna Shore songs
Hel_ish BRUH. Austin makes the most generic drum parts in all of deathcore. it’s the same thing every song, 250-260 bpm blasting and finishing the 4th bar of every section with a triplet blast LUL. Austin is nothing special.
If you haven't met Austin or any of the guys in person, they're the most genuine and welcoming people you could meet. Austin was extremely modest and humble with how insane he is behind the kit, and he's only gotten better since I saw them last year.
Cody Stewart Is all the drum audio here purely from this one-take live performance? I’m mainly wondering about the double kicks or if they were edited at all to be perfect. No shame if they were, as most are. Just curious! :)
@@Levi_Leviathvn ? I know, I was just asking Cody Stewart if the double kick performance was edited to be perfect or if the drummer just played it perfectly lol
Dude looks like the guy in a Mafia that makes a killer spaghetti sauce but is hella schizo and everyone is terrified of him... oh and the track was dope!
Actually, it is, to explain better, Austin really plays the drums, there's no problem, what happens is that every mic has a patch and every patch has an advice called "trigger" and what this does is convert the signal of the sound on a MIDI signal, then the trigger sends a sound signal to the sound module saying there was a knock, now later in post-production you can sample that sound and turn it into the sound of literally any instrument, you can select the intensity you want to be in each beat (it varies from 1 - 127) and if , for example, I select the kick drum track and set it to 115, all the kick drum will have the same punch intensity... personally it is something that bothers me, Austin Archey is an incredible drummer, but he's a human too, if you look at DrumCam from him, you will notice in the live sound as a bang sounds louder than or others. (forgive my english man)
@@maxscaballero7290 Thank you for your comment, I already understand how that all works. Even though he is using samples, it still sounds natural due to the velocities :)
@@BlurredTrees The drum audio is definitely mixed and processed but it definitely doesn't sound processed in the way that is on the studio and it sounds like there is minimal/no quantization which gives the drums a more loose and raw feel compared to the studio release. The kicks are the only thing that sound massively processed but I assume that is just because of triggers. But whatever, man.
The only drummer I know who can look like he's putting his all into the notes, a zillion notes like a wizard, then a second later look like he doesn't know where he is
The skank blast he does really makes up for a a good transition from one part of the song to the next. Didn't listen to Flesh Coffin that much but thats the kind of original play that will get me hooked on their next stuff.
It's a traditional blast played in sextuplets (or 16th triplets) bass and right hand follows the the (1tt2tt3tt4tt) and the snare is played in between those with the left so it's actually (1sTsTs2sTsTs3sTsTs4sTsTs) if you're unfamiliar with music theory especially time signatures and notation that may as well be a completely different language to you though lol

i been having a rough time lately, and screaming my anger frustration and pain out at the 1:34 breakdown has really been the difference between losing it and moving on

CubeTV | Kleiner3 is hes one of your favorite drummers, you gotta broaden your view of death metal drummers. austin is the most generic deathcore drummer out there.
Ear candy! I see a lot of guys are moving over to direct drive pedals to rid of the lag in chain drives but I hear theres a learning curve to direct drive?
Charles Stevenson yeah there is. your foot is used to the lag and compensates for it. Switching over to direct drive you feel exactly what the pedal is doing and how responsive it is and it’s a shell shock for your muscles in the beginning but worth it in the end when you develop the new muscle memory. That’s just my opinion though, it’s what I felt when I switched over to the trick Pro 1V
Deathcore has gotten so good in the past decade. Shadow of intent, lorna shore, enterprise earth etc. So damn good
Literally named my three favorite bands lol
It's so much more technical now; also, the resurgence of the blackened/symphonic sound really helps, in my opinion.
I barely listened to deathcore before these bands tbh
I also listen to Shrine of Malice and Slaughter to Prevail, both bands rip
Infant Annihilator, Shadow Of Intent, Lorna Shore, Slaughter To Prevail.
never got hook into deathcore with the so called 'leader of the genre' suicide silence.. getting interested with black dahlia murders.. now i'm into it full time, the new deathcore is sick and i love it..
can we please have, like, instrumental versions of every song on every metal album please, thank you
Seriously i'll pay for both albums full price I'd love it so much
@@tparkerino same, lorna shore instrumentals are golden
Like shadow of intent did with their two albums.
I've been wondering about it lately
Thats alot of money to pay to do that.
I think it'd be cool if they did what Periphery did on their last two albums and release album instrument stems so musicians can record and produce their own covers of Lorna Shore songs
Austin has a nice way of making his drumming sound distinct in the genre. Absolutely fucking love it.
Those drums dude... Like a freaking dumminggun LOL "D

bruh I’d bet a large sum of money that you don’t even play an instrument
Steven Jones haha ok, do that and you’d lose that large sum of money.
