What will Cause The Fan Motor to Spin Backwards?

I love them. Not a good profit on refrigerant though , is there ? Why sell them 10 lbs when you can sell them 20, am I right ?

Why would it spin backwards because of a capacitor being bad?

The capacitor changes the phase angle on the incoming power on the start winding. Some motor designs will do that if the capacitance is improper.
