Shadow of Intent performing in Anaheim, CA. at Chain Reaction.
Ben helping that guy at 10:33 was so cool
it was slick too, didnt make a show of it, good dude right there, despite sounding like a demon made flesh
Ben's live vocals never cease to amaze me. The clarity, enunciation, and overall sound he pulls off is incredible. And Chris and everyone else absolutely slay it as well.
Corwin I think Ben’s definitely one of the underrated vocalists in general, even tho SOI are themselves getting a lot of hype lately.
I can't find any vocalist that impresses me more than Ben Duerr. He's astonishing.
@@maximef.994 Joe Bad of Fit For An Autopsy is right up there as well. Dude is incredible live.
@@hooligan_accord Agreed, Badolatto has incredible breath control and is very on point live. But Ben's lows and variety of techniques are out of this world. I feel Joe's vocals are kinda monotonous compared to Ben.
0:00 - Melancholy
4:31- Barren and Breathless Macrocosm
9:37 - The Heretic Prevails
14:48 - The Battle of the Maginot Sphere
18:50 - Malediction
thank you so much for uploading, this is a real gift for us who live in the southern hemisphere and we won't have the opportunity to see this amazing band anytime soon.
Southern hemisphere gets nothing dude sigh I feel your pain
I wish they would come to. Houston...so far ive seen lorna shore... Bodysnatcher...within destruction.... Spite.... Dying fetus... Whitechapel... And fallujah which im not a fan of (yet).... But ill be seeing spite again next month with chelsea grin and the acacia strain in houston
@@fogspanker8532 lucky you...you still live in a place bands come...try living in the caribbean where all we get is hurricanes, crime, and corruption. Count your blessings
@@bagzy868 im sorry your in bad area brother... Be safe in all that you do!
@@bagzy868 i bet if the bands could, they'd come :)
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS FINALLY A GOOD SHADOW OF INTENT LIVE VIDEO THANK YOU!!!! dmd you on insta like you asked
WillBurhans i have the full set recorded as well, not as good visual but better audio
Chris B i don’t doubt it, but i’m saying like the really only ok-good quality full set live video of shadow intent you know
WillBurhans for sure, someone needs to make a DVD soon like they used to back in the old days 😂
Chris B haha yeah 🖨🖨📠📠
This video is probably the best I've heard of a live concert of them, if you haven't seen it. ua-cam.com/video/eZzMwQE98TA/v-deo.html
Hot dang the Heretic Prevails breakdown is awesome live
Bryce Butler did a great job with them, always one of my fav drummers.
I'm honored you say that!! Thank you so much!!
I thought that was him!
They are so god damn good, and Ben is just on another planet
Everything about this band is top notch. It's hard for me play anything else now.
IS NO ONE GONNA MENTION 15:50 ?!
Ben pulled that off flawlessly.
I felt it so deep inside of me
@@cesarsarmiento5263 What...the...fuck?! 🤣
Went straight Fronz.
that whole part made me melt...now i must go change my panties XD .....
Insane vocals for being live.
saw them last night. sounds even better live.
Good quality video, thanks so much for uploading this! As I live on the other side of the great pond, I won't be seeing these guys anytime soon. So in the meantime, I'm soaking up any live material I can get my hands on while they're on tour. Much appreciated!
Ben's killing it, as usual. Absolutely insane.
They are incredible live... so energic.
Thanks for uploading ! I missed this show and it’s so sick to see it live, long live Shadow of Intent
I've always been more of a guitar guy myself, but Ben is really making me appreciate vocals more because he is just so fucking good. Chris is still amazing too of course
Finally a SOI live with good audio, thanks
The camera angles and blue light give me a Guitar Hero Live vibe lol, amazing performance
I'm bout to see them at the end of the month. It's been years since I've been to a show but with this new talent I think it's time to come out again
Man that bree at 12:53 shows Duer is no joke in the vocal game.
All along the way up to 13:12 is insane aswell
I'm more impressed by 15:12, 15:33, 15:50 etc. Singing fast is fucking hard
@@YouNoob93 No, fast screaming takes less effort
Omg yes a video right by Andrew😍. I love soi so much I’m so glad that there’s a good live video so I can relive the concert. I’m also happy they played the return for us even though it’s not on this video.
tha main velody of melancholy is so catchy. love it
Damn that show looked nasty. Crowd was lively as hell and packed from the front to back. Best kind of show to be at.
They are so fucking great!!! Live and on record it doesn’t matter! His vocals crush!!!!
12:50, damn bass drop , nasty
Most underrated current metal band! Listen to that melody!!!!
I feel so lucky knowing I've seen them :)
Right!?!
Everyone always talks about Ben's "BREEEE" in Heretic Prevails, but where he says "I am he who lives..." in Malediction (22:12) is mind blowing. I saw them in CT earlier this year, and that just resonats through the venue.
They’re so amazing live and have some of the best music out there. They deserve to be more famous than freakin Slipknot they’re so good.
This is pure, raw fucking energy and I love it
12:53 JESUS CHRIST
ThisIsGOKKAR was looking for this comment lol. Their playing is insanely tight and this breakdown sounded fucking amazing
8:00
Oh, yeah. That's what I'm looking for
A perfect and sexy breeee❤🤘
The bass player is a fucking beast on stage ! so much energy.

The audio made me believe my ears were plugged and I kept swallowing my saliva to clear it.🙁
Joe Grizzly BRO SAME
This tour was fucking heavy
So far I've really only heard Dickie Allen and Ben Duerr do about 6 different type of vocals in one breakdown. I could be wrong I may have heard more
I haven't seen Ben live in front of me but saw Scumfuck about a month ago. Dickie is jaw dropping. BTW SF is one of the most fun bands I have ever seen live.
damn they should have played The Return
Not enough time 😭
Bryce Butler AHHHHHHHH ITS BRYCE BUTLER!!! bro you’re seriously one of my favorite drummers, i was trying to find you when i saw LS and you were airdrumming Lukes parts haha, wanted to get a picture with you dude, did get a pic with luke tho! wish i could’ve caught this tour, kublai khan and shadow of intent are a couple of my favorite bands but I live in Buffalo and you guys aren’t even near hear :(
@@user-id2dx4qd6j I'm so honored you say that!!!! Thank you so much!! You're amazing and I hope I get to meet you soon! This tour has been a blast 😭💙
Bryce Butler thank you man! you’re an amazing drummer! pretty underrated also. been following you since your hunt the dinosaur days! you tagging along on any of the deathcore tours this fall?
Didnt expect the replies to be this wholesome, have a nice day lads
So pissed that I missed this tour! Definitely catching you next time! Thanks for the upload!
William Dixon why are you pissed that you missed it? You could have gone but just decided not to for whatever bullshit reason and then here you are bitching about it, trying to make it seem like you actually would have gone. Get the fuck outta here fake ass pussy lmao
They need to have some dates in France 😭
Graaaaave !
I'd actually sell every friend I have just to have this band come to NZ
god tier band right there
Y'all are some savages 🤘☠🤘
Next level deathcore right here...
Oh my god i was here live and it was an amazing experience, also it was funny being the youngest person here 😂
Ben's fucking vocals live are everything
I swear if they come to michigan i need to go see them live
Ben is my fucking hero!
For those who wonder where the hell is Anthony, dude was in babymetal as their session drummer for their US tour.
Yeah you hear that right: baby fucking metal.
Ben’s vocals are so fucking crisp holy shit
homie had to grow out his hair for those headbangs lol
perfection
13:04 Ben's gutturals are absolutely disgusting here. And the guitar/bass sound way heavier than in the studio version
These guys keep it up they will be on suffocation level
GS Shadow of Intent 🤘🤘🤘
22:22 Love what you do, never work a day in your life.
We dem SOIS!
A wild Bryce Butler appears!
YO. HE'S EVERYWHERE
Ben is a Beast! Woahhh!!!
How they can be that good
Edit voice no exist in the studio for this band :o
Rest in pieces crowd
Why is no one talking about 15:50? That's insane
fuck ben is top tier live
Where’s is Anthony barone ??
Thats exactly what I thought too
@@Anttitheman on tour with babymetal
Novel Karim That’s so insanely sick!
Mad respect.
looks like the 5 downvotes didn't get the tickets :D
come to germany :D
They have to come to Germany^^ I want to see them live *-*
@@vlumii_ they are going to this summer
@CursedEgg awesome
Can tell they use digital gear ! This has no oomph to it at all! Shame the sound sucks cus I fucking love this band
Bryce Butler is the man.
Ben duerr is a good boy
Despised Icon sound kinda different here...
I want to loot that orange chest behind Chris
drums Anthony Barone ?
Bryce butler is covering for Anthony at the moment.
Why do they play with accompaniment? Just bring a keyboardist into the band and maybe another guitarist while you’re at it.
Super sick sound and vocals are NUTS but they could go to the next level.
That costs more money and takes up more space in the van. We barely had space to sleep the 6 of us, (Ben's girlfriend does merch and we have a sound guy) so 2 other people isn't an option. Adding more people also means each person goes home with less money. These are the main reasons most bands use backing tracks. Not everyone knows how to tour and some people are not cut out for it. Its hard enough to find 5 or 6 people that can get along for a month in a van, so sometimes adding a 7th or 8th person makes it less likely everyone will get along.. All just things to think about. Cheers 💙
Why does no band ever come to Australia?
I asked Ben about it not long ago, he said that they'd love to come down under but it's not financially viable for such a small band unless they get a good offer. Sucks but you really can't blame them!
@@fullswingin
Man... that sucks, hopefully one day SOI will be big enough to come to Australia
Flights and visas to Australia are about $2k per person. Hopefully one day soon!! 💙
You've got Ne Obliviscaris, Be'lakor, and many more.
@@DouweHummeling I can't bring myself to support NeO after how they handled firing their bassist, and Be'Lakor tour about once a millenia haha. But nah you're right, the Aussie scene is still amazing.
Singer looks like he should be in a crabcore band.
Headline a tour and I will show up.
Aaron how about you show up regardless of if they're headlining or not. Are you trying to say that your presence is only worth it when a band you like headlines a show? So fuck seeing them AT ALL if they happen to not be headlining right? Lmao pussies like you are what's wrong with the metal scene nowadays. You'll only go if a band you like headlines or some bullshit then you don't even watch or support the other bands. You bitch ass niggas missed the whole thing about supporting metal as a whole. Get fucked
Ben looks so different. Grew out the hair and lost a bunch of weight. Almost didn't recognize him hah.
Who's playing drums?
Meeee
aren't there supposed to be 2 guitarists??
Why is the sound overall so flat? :/
where is anthony?
Wtf wheres all the original members aside from Ben?
Anthony Barone MIA?
Was thinking the same thing :/
Sad :(
It‘s the drummer from Brojob. Also a solid drummer 👌🏼
Dude was in babymetal as session drummer for their us tour. Yeah I know, it's fucking sad.
Bryce butler
I wish I would’ve gone but they were sold out by the time I had money
Is Bryce Butler playing?
Hugo PDrums yes!
@@sanchezboyee that's an awesome combo
@@hugopdrums704 thank you!!! You're awesome! 💙
unterrated band ... they'll smash the death core scene soon :-)
They already have...... but for some reason the hate train is real. I've been following since their first release, i love me some SOI.
@@deadhead_012 Hate train? Do people actually not like SOI?
@@deadhead_012 they will overcome all :-)
@@jaku8513 Unfortunately yes. The crowd of people who hate anything that is popular or becomes popular. But with SOI they can't even use the "i like their first two albums" bullshit because they blew up so quick.
I dont think they're underrated in the core scene at all
All I hear is cymbals
@13:03 bassist
#rebelliousskateboards #fashreduntilyouredead #letsmakeskateboardingbiggerthanpolitics #lmsbtp #nyccomeup #liveandenjoy #humanprogression #humanawarenesscommunity
They looked like they belong in the late 2000s crabcore scene
Music was heavy..yeah..but when the voice entered it ruined it..death vocals u can barely understand..even with lyrics u wont get it..id stick to Death and Cannibal..not some trying to be badass posers trying to be metal and"sick".
Well its their distinct style, the difference between Melancholy and The Return is as clear as day, the are evolving in their own thing more and more, I would put them as a mix of deathcore and death metal/black metal. And they are not disappointing in any way, especially the vocals are just disgusting which fits them so fucking well.
I think his vocals are unreal... His projection, intonation, clarity, range, and mastery of essentially every style of scream at his age is absolutely insane....
Ok dude whatever
someone doesnt have an open mind haha
Rhys’s Lowlux faxx bro 🤘
