Unbelievable mix. I have been seeing death metal shows for 16 years and it's the same story every time. Bass is WAY too loud, sound guy decides to be lazy and turn the kick drum up which obliterates any hope of hearing riffs or anything else. This is the kind of live mix every technical death metal band needs.
@@matin2825 there is no such thing as deathcore. Calling anything "core" is a marketing scheme made up by the industry to make it more accessible and marketable to dumb kids that aren't in it for the music, but are in it for the trend/fashion instead. Notice how none of those genres ever last?
@@anomalyLG ehm, nah. Metalcore is metal, screams/growls and singing melodic elements. Same with death. Deathmetal is growls only to fit the heavy music. Deathcore is when there are high screams and more variety, such as for example a refrain. That's what I at least think, you stoned old ass boomer.
@@matin2825 I'm sorry you're this delusional. You are trying to define entire subgenres by vocal styles? Opeth had clean vocals in the mid 90s. So that's metalcore now? And high vocals have existed in extreme metal since the beginning. Black metal ring a bell? Core does not exist. Metalcore was a marketing ploy in the mid 2000s to try to break bands like Shadows Fall and Killswitch Engage into the mainstream under the guise of a new genre for kids that were afraid to admit they liked melodic death metal (which is what all of that shit really was). When deathcore dies out (which is already is in the process of) you will be scrambling to the next trend because you're not into the music. You're into labeling genres. I assume you're pretty young but you will eventually get it. Good luck.
Never listened to these guys before, but wow, this in an amazing live performance, super tight high level musicianship, will now have to listen to a studio record.
Watching Ben do The Battle of Maginot Sphere live is truly a work of art... That tight of vocal control and speed is what makes him one of the most talented vocalists out there..
It looks effortless, but i promise you, it isn't. Breath control, using the proper muscles to produce sound without straining, and then having an extensive range. None of it is easy, nor effortless, seems like it though lol! This is years of consistent practice at it's finest.
@@trevorrossilli899 You should watch some Ben streams on which he tells how his vocals are so flawless. Details on how he shoots through his diaphragm, giving him effortless squeals with one of the higher pitch apertures within metal today. He basically can go from Dani Filth to Corpsegrinder easily as it's noticeable on the live footages.
I would kill to see these guys live, my god. Discovered them mid 2020 and holy fuck, how did I miss them?!?! Ben is actually a demon, that range is just....my god.
props to the lights dude - can't imagine those are pressed live, but even for a pre-programmed show this is brilliant. Finally someone with a sense for colour - not that casual epileptic RGB fireworks. Very nice!

Agreed
It's technical deathcore though
Good luck.

Best audio quality ever. Honestly better than some actual studio releases on Spotify. Top notch quality!
32:17 “Goddamn!”. Best summary for the band.
Drums are sooooo on point
Thank you so much!! 😭💙
I never get tired of this. Much of respect for any band stems from their ability to pull their songs off live, and SOI just kills it here.
Never listened to these guys before, but wow, this in an amazing live performance, super tight high level musicianship, will now have to listen to a studio record.
whoever did the sound mixing for this needs a raise. can hear everything SO clear. the bass sounds amazing!
Another Leo classic. THE best in the business. Bringing the greatest music to us in quality and concentrating on crisp vocals.
Great mix as always much love for lickwood 😂
Ben's vocals are so brutal and sound exactly like they were recorded in a studio. Just, Godlike.
Watching Ben do The Battle of Maginot Sphere live is truly a work of art... That tight of vocal control and speed is what makes him one of the most talented vocalists out there..
Bens technique is flawless he is giving so little effort and has complete control over his vocals
@@Compendyum I have actually!

I would kill to see these guys live, my god. Discovered them mid 2020 and holy fuck, how did I miss them?!?! Ben is actually a demon, that range is just....my god.
Holy shit! Ben's vocals are insane (as usual) and Chris is on point.
What a flat out bad ass performance, to all of the band and sound engineer! Amazing sound, Flawless vocals! just Flawless AF!!
Thank you for the compliments on the mix as I mix all my videos myself
Holy fuck. I was wondering how this was live. And I'm far from disappointed
Damn, this band is off the charts. Absolutely flawless playing and sound. The songs are badass too, of course.
props to the lights dude - can't imagine those are pressed live, but even for a pre-programmed show this is brilliant. Finally someone with a sense for colour - not that casual epileptic RGB fireworks. Very nice!
The bass player for SOI is extremely talented when it comes to lighting and production, I imagine he programmed it
@@LeoSypniewski ahh seems legit! Ty Leo ✌
You deserve way more follower. Best live videos on UA-cam with the biggest variety of bands 🤘
It is a absolutely mind blowing how good this is. Every song is near identical to the record track and even the backing vocals are spot on 🔥 Ben is easily the best vocalist in Deathcore in my opnion. His lows sound like a boiling pit of magma and rotting corpses erupting out of him and screams are equally nasty. Melancholy is a masterpiece and no quesiton one of the greatest Deathcore records of all time 🤘
Seriously leo not blowing smoke your one of the best in the business. You keep progressing and tweaks making these your own style your gonna continue to go very far.
Dude oh my fucking god , this was just holy shit , dude huge fan right here
.. no comment.. thank you for existing 👍🏻😘🍻🤘hello from 🇷🇴 Roumania. 🍻
My absolute number one pick as a deathcore band for sure. I really enjoy the direction they’re taking and the vocabulary skill Ben has is beautiful man
What a great performance and crisp mix. Solid professionalism.
Appreciate your kind words about the mix!

Brilliant set. His vocals are extraordinary live!
That motherfucking instrumental is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard Jesus Christ the metal gods have blessed us
Man the live version of heretic prevails always gives me more goosebumps than the studio version.
