LOL didn't know about the fans...that was funny. Otherwise there would have to be a very large finned aluminum heatsink on the back. Almost all new LED conversion lamps come with fans now. Great video by the way, looking at these for my '55 Chevy.
I had a 70 c10 a few years back and I installed the h4 headlight up grade along with the headlight harness upgrade. Made a pretty big difference over old factory stuff. Have you installed a new relay harness for headlights so your not running all the amperage through the headlight switch?
@@aslawnscapes1253 nope, stock harness. The current draw for LEDs is far lower than incandescent, so there is no need to change the harness or add a relay.
@@mechtrician1I have the old halogen lights on my blazer. I want to upgrade my 74 blazer with these lights. Would I need a electronic flasher to upgrade to led's lights?
@@Johnny9ers not if you’re just doing the headlights, but for your turn signals if you go LED with them, yes you need an electronic flasher. They are available on Amazon for like 10-15 bucks. I did that in both my 66 mustang and the 69 C20.
Love mine so far.
Just ordered the same set for my 71 c10. Looks like I made a good choice for once. Hopefully get them by Friday.

Im surprise you didnt test first light before completing install???
Thanks! I will be purchasing these with the halo!
Well......It's been a year lol. How have they held up so far? Building a 70 nova and I've been looking at octane for a few days now for replacements.
Well, I installed them on my 66 Mustang not long after the truck and both have been perfect. No issues.
@@mechtrician1 sweet! Thank you for the feedback.
2 years later are you still happy with them?
Yep I sure am. I have them on my 66 Mustang as well. Use them all the time this time of year.
@@mechtrician1 how much room did you have in the bucket of the 66 mustang? Was it as tight at the c10?
@@heathhenderson7217 both tight but they fit.

Do you have a part number?

How are they holding up?
No problems at all. As a matter of fact I put them in an additional vehicle as well. They work perfectly.
