Ronaldo was very influential. In fact when he came to Man Utd not only did he annoy the opposition with the way he played but even his own teammates would fuck him up in practise and tell him to stop dribbling so much and being a diva and stuff. Didn't matter though he just did his thing. Also Ronaldo made pulling your socks above the knees popular. I remember in 2003-2007 everyone wanted to look like him on the field. Also his freekick goals are some of the most unique you will ever see. Also and this is a big also. Winger Ronaldo and striker Ronaldo are practically two completely different players. If you watch Ronaldo today you don't get the full story, not even close. He used to break ankles in his 20s.
I'm Indian, and even though cricket is MASSSIVE in india and football doesn't compare with its popularity here, I can still easily say Ronaldo has been the most influential sportsman ever, i literally have seen people pick up football and fitness after watching ronaldo(GOAT). Beyonce is influential in USA and Ronaldo is Influential for generations of sportsmen-women and fans of various different sports in 200 other countries. People look upto him for his training regime, how he treats his body etc. Everybody copies his style and moves, his celebration is globally famous and his consistency is remarkable.
Plus when anybody visits portugal the one thing they know for sure is Cristiano comes from this country, even politicians gift ronaldo jersey to incoming politicians as a momento. When he did the coke bottle thing Coke Cola lost billions of dollars in stock market share.

This was one of the worst examples of why Christiano Rinaldo is so influential. He has an iconic version of the MJ Dunk with the amount of height he got on that header. Rinaldo took football to a new level and basically told everyone to, " Up you fucking game, cause I'm playing a totally different game in a league galaxies away from you"
Ronaldo and Messi really cemented the wing forward position, and the possibility of being the worlds top goalscorers from that position. Players like Neymar, Salah, Mbappe etc took that on and many more will

Mark is being wild with his answer on Ronaldo, especially being a soccer fan. The guy has the most unbelievable highlights and change the way people looked at curving a soccer ball and what was even possible with it. When I was visiting Spain and Italy, outside of his skills as an athlete, Renaldo was as popular as he was because of his character and what hes contributed not only to the sport but to communities and individuals throughout his career.
Sooo in that regard I d definitely say hes more influential. Everyone knew his name, watched the games…i mean i was there when Spain and Portugal won euro cup. Unforgettable experience tbh.
Beyonce is beautiful definitely influential and a worldwide presence, but when I see her I just see super stardom. Nothing wrong with that but I dont look at her and see her amazing personality. I just see her brand. Renaldos image is way easier to take something from than Beyonce. Playing a sport and contributing to your community, being a decent persons vs. being a rich superstar singer…
I ll with the one thats more obtainable in reality.

Beyonce has halo and who runs the world, what else 🧐😏
Edit :- I rarely see the comparison of female singers as the "Next Beyonce" but every single high skilled footballer will one day want/earn the tag of the "NEXT RONALDO".
