Pvp has its own subcategories, including but not limited to; cheese builds that drastically outperform the average build in a certain way, relying on that as a crutch to win fights, trackstar builds, where the main gimmick is being really fucking fast, conceptual builds (cosplays and silly builds), where the build is based around a certain concept or character, and the stats, weapon, mantras, talents, and drip reflect that, meta builds, where everything is optimized for maximum damage output (the most boring type with little creative freedom), although not necessarily a best, a solid option and cannot go wrong.

7:10 i recomend always going 40-50 fort post shrine bc you get more hp from the stat it self and if you're doing reinforce armor build it would be waste of hp if you go pre shrine 90frt tho in brickwall builds always go pre shrine bc using 200 points post shrine is a waste ngl
That’s not exactly why you go 40-50 fort post shrine. You keep the HP buff from having 40-50 stats in it before, (this applies to the extra ether from intel and charisma too.) But you would want 40-50 fort post shrine since its easier to get the rest of your talents which will probably require fortitude (along with the different stat). Examples of this being like conditioned runner if you go agility post shrine or unfazed if youre going willpower post shrine. You always want to try to go 90 fortitude post shrine for reinforced armor because of the pen reduction scaling, it’s only 20% reduction at 65 fortitude and 40% reduction at 90 fortitude.

I’m power 11 and new to the game, I’m trying to do a simple mage build and it uses shrine of order so I followed the video and got as many of the preshrine talents as I could but I’m still missing a good amount, so I know ferryman can give mooneye tome for knowledge but that drop chance is kinda ridiculous, and mystic never boosts the chance for talents I needed so what can I even do to get knowledge?
- Echo Upgrades - Primadon gives 1 per kill (3 on first one) - Chaser gives 1 per kill (3 on first) - Killing corrupted mobs you haven't before gives 1 - Squibbo gives 1 - Owl gives 1 You shouldn’t struggle with getting all your pre-shrine talents on a simple mage build (or almost any build) if you have your 'Starting Knowledge' echo upgrade maxed out
