    The DJI line of consumer camera drones for 2020 is very strong and definitely worth considering if you are looking to get into flying drones. They range from the Mavic Mini, which is designed for easy flight, great images, and convenient social sharing. To the Mavic Air, which is small yet powerful with a 4K camera and advanced flight modes. To the Mavic 2 Zoom and Mavic 2 Pro - both of which take incredible video and photos for amateurs and professionals alike. And finally the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0, which is truly a professional grade aerial camera system.
    This video covers everything you might want to know when making the decision about which drone is right for you. We look at the different capabilities and use cases for each drone and share a ton of great footage shot with each of these drones so that you can see for yourself how the cameras perform and what they are like to fly.

    over the years i have used (phantom 3 standard-8 out of 10)..(spark-7 out of ten)..(mavic 2 pro 10 out of 10) no signal issues,no image issues,no connection issues.had good time flying, filming just enjoying them...then came the (mavic air.. 2 out of ten)bag of shit,connection problems,image problems,lost signal problems.bought in august 2019 it would go back to dji but they are closed down due to covic 19.. ..good video..just subscribed..stay safe everyone..

    I have Phantom 4 Advanced Plus and I absolutely love it. It's almost the same as the Pro on the video but uses the older transmission technology which is still great, and doesn't have side and rear obstacle avoidance sensors (which don't work well on these models anyway). The camera and everything else is the same. I was amazed how easy this drone is to fly, so if you are thinking of buying it, go for it, even as a first drone. It's just built as high quality product and works really well. Because of the wait, wind has less of an effect on the video smoothness. I just love this drone! :)

    I have flown the dji phantom 3 with the 2.7k camera and mavic pro, but never owned a dji drone, and recently I bought a mavic mini, and im beyond pleased with it. it has a 30 min fly time, great software, GPS, and fights the wind well. I've used it for professional grade videos and compared to the mavic pro the difference in quality isn't noticeable enough for me to spend 600 dollars more.

    Just got a mini 2. Fixes the no 4k issue, you also get raw image capability as well as manual video mode. The addition of ocusync 2.0 fixes any transmission issues. The motor arms are stronger and more durable, and now has higher speeds for better wind resistance .Just an all around great little drone.

      Or just a Mavic Pro. You can always add platinum blades. Both Mavic Pro and platinum are way better than the dji air. And who wants the played out design of a phantom series. The public automatically go into defense mode when they see the shape of a phantom. Yep best drone not mentioned is the one I would recommend to all new people The Mavic pro original. And cheaper than the Mavic air / Phantom 4 .V2 / and Mavic 2.

    Well DJI has an interesting lineup of drones that if your in the market for a drone you would be crazy not to look them up, these drones are fantastic. I own a Mavic 2 zoom and I LOVE it. Has never let me down not even once. However I have a bone to pick with the mavic mini whilst it is one of the best beginner drones I think its a drone that people should take extra precaution and care in terms of regular firmware updates and calliberation before any flights probably more than any other drone in the DJI lineup. If your a beginner the mini is a good choice, if your someone who can spend a little more than a mavic mini and want something more quality and safe go for the air. If great video quality and transmission range is more your speed the Mavic 2 zoom and pro is for you and finally if professional drone your after and money is not an issue than you get go wrong with the phantom 4 plus.

    • @Icantdrive55
      @Icantdrive55 4 роки тому

      gpierre90 very true, the reliability of the signal on all wifi drones is questionable and extra precaution must be taken. I have a Spark and I almost never fly it anymore because it can be 50 feet away and in a field with no interference and it will decide to go off and do its own thing because of a signal disconnect. So on wifi drones it’s especially important to do all the updates and calibration every time you fly even if you are flying in the same place you flew yesterday. I don’t have any of the newer drones but I have a P3P which used lightbridge and the original Mavic Pro which has ocusync both have very stable signals.

    You have such a nice DJI Family Kelly, They are growing up fast. They do look like they are getting a little rambunctious with all this stay at home social distancing time ( love the opening scene).
    Hey I just watched Captain Drone and you guys must have had the same thoughts at similar time as he did the same comparing which DJI drone is best to someone interested in buying one. For those still working or not depending on COVID-19 stimulus check, that extra money may for some may be the resource to purchase a new drone. Of course China would benefit from sale, but when you think about all the accessories people buy when getting a drone, it could help with the US economy? Nice job, I finally am finding some time to edit and should have videos out soon. I love the Phantom 4 Pro best, something about the way it flies that I like, tough to explain.

      Thank you for personal assistance here.
      I got into drone flying a bit ago, and started with what I could afford and the best for me. I purchased H501SS with advanced controller and love it from flights I have made. I then wanted a folding drone I could afford, so bought MJX BUgs4. Nice too but sticks are a bit quick.
      I then wanted to go better and bought a Zino (Stantad) not had much chance to play with zino yet, due to rain and winds here in UK... Had flight issue with zino though on test flight as she was all over the place, then next not too bad. Both flights were just a few meters high..
      Anyway... My main and best drone I would like is DJI... Should have saved more, held out and got one instead of three I have.
      Looking at DJI drones throws me as Mavic Pro has been a favourite for many.... Then seen Spark...... and also Mavic Air... Also Platinum Pro.
      I am wanting THE BEST Flight time from a DJI, as just a drone hobby and photo pilot... not a Pro in any shape or form.
      Seen many videos after selling things to purchase. My thoughts below are:
      DJI Mavic Mini: Good flight time of about 20-30 mins, but was told rubbish in wind higher up.
      DJI Mavic Air: Great flyer with sensors all over, but flight time only about 10-15 mins.
      Mavic Pro: Great all round drone, with good flight time and weight in winds.
      Mavic Pro Platinum: Same as above, but slight better flight time.
      Cannot afford my dream Drone which is Pro 2, so will leave that out LOL!!!!!
      Above is my bucket list as now fly drones as and when due to life saving operations. Will not go into that, but fresh air in a light breeze, watching them fly is so relaxing. Sorry long reply and do not take any offence if you chose not to reply after reading. LOL!!!!!

      @@waddac2 I hope you are doing well across the pond in UK with Virus and Brexit. Yes, if money is of concern, and if I understand reading your words correctly, I would get the DJI Mavic Pro or Mavic Platinum which you can find great deals on EBAY or other on-line retail services. I would consider factory authorized refurbished units. One of my DJI drones is the Mavic Pro and I love it for the folding and portability but most for it being a DJI product that has the awesome DJI Go4 application software which is important part of the experience and not talked about enough. In the App, you highly customize the gain values or rates of the control sticks or other flight characteristics to your liking.
      You may want to explore if you can change the stick rates for the MJX BUgs4 ?? I am not familiar with its software.
      Bottom line is that you do not have to go with new. With a little research you can find a DJI Drone that is slightly dated but you can not go wrong with Phantom 4 or Mavic Series platform... They are the best..
      Stay Healthy and hope this helps.

I myself due to other illness problems was sent from work a couple of weeks ago. It destroys me a bit as I am a Security And Emergency Response Team Officer, but myself and family are doing okay regarding Virus for now.
      Regarding Drones buddy. I am not wanting to go an Ebay for a used drone, that says "Used But Excellent" So thanks for the tip on a used drone from Factory, authorised etc.
      I have a link to purchase when I can and company is called "Drones UK" who offer guarantee.
      So my friend... Mavic Air is great with sensors but not keen due to battery life.. Think you possibly agree with me being a newbie.
      So as a DJI expert, is it the Mavic Pro or if can afford... Pro Platinum?
      Thank you,

      @@waddac2 Same here where stay at home orders does not allow people and work places does not allow assembly of people unless deemed essential and then people are to practice social distancing. Its okay to go shopping for food or medicines, go to some doctor appointments, get fresh air and exercise but all restaurants, taverns/bars, sporting events, schools, public meetings , etc are on hold. Those that can not work from home are on furlough or having to apply for unemployment.
      So, DJI Mavic Pro or Pro Platinum are basically the same. You can, as I did get the quieter prop that were introduced with Platinum . I like the Master Air Screw brand and actually are better than DJI OEM's.
      THe Platinum has a slightly different ESC (electronic speed controllers) that is more efficient and you get about 1 to 2 minutes more flight time. And that is it, all the rest is the same as the regular Pro version. I would not consider if the price were that much different. I have the Mavic pro and fly about 20 minutes and land with 20 % remaining battery at the minimum. Typically I like to land with about 25 % and do a battery change but that is a long time and a lot of video to process. Stay Healthy.

    I went cheap on my first drone, a Xiaomi Mi Drone. A third of the price of a Mavic Pro, but you really get what you pay for. It's been fun the last 2 years, but the biggest problem is the software, on the drone and on my phone. Often fails to let me take off, but doubt it'll ever get updated. I'm here because my next drone will be a DJI.

    Nice DJI lineup. I have some of the older DJI drones; the Spark, the original Mavic Pro and the Phantom 3 Pro. All are very capable drones but I love flying the Phantom 3 pro the best. Maybe I don’t have the settings quite dialled in right on the Mavic Pro because it doesn’t fly and nice and the video isn’t as good as the Phantom 3 Pro. I’ll have to play with it a bit more once the snow melts. I live in central Canada and We just had a snow storm the other day and we are still digging out.

    Can one use FPS goggles while the drone is active tracking an object "AND" head tracking in the Goggles? Unless the drone is capable of also following/centering the tracked object, then I guess head tracking wouldn't be necessary, but optional perhaps?
    I want to have a drone follow my RC, while im using FPS goggles as my eyes, to control the RC. Since the Drone would be set to active track I technically should be able to just have the controls (for the Drone) hanging from my neck or whatever. Can a drone do this? Which drone and FPS goggles would you recommend for a budding youtube content creator like myself. Thanks!

    i am in that large market segment of people who just bought their first drone (Mavic Mini). I am learning quickly and cautiously and don't know yet if I am interested enough in the hobby to spend big bucks on a larger drone I also like the fact that this one needs no government approval in any fashion as I know I am responsible enough to learn the rules and fly accordingly. It cost very little, is very capable, and frankly I don't give a damn about 4K or even 2K, or any of the fancy modes that come with it. So it is perfect for me and I suspect most others coming in to the hobby. Previous cheaper drones I owned were simply troublesome toys compared to this very professionally designed drone, and I ended up throwing them away. Personally, I believe DJI knocked the ball out of the stadium with this drone

      I Ron, That would be interesting but not holding my breath especially with the COVIS-19 pandemic disrupting supply chains and work schedules. I had planned to, or hoped that DJI would release something new before my Skydio 2 order is ready sometime in May? (batch #3 order) where I would make a final decision on what to get. It's been 3 years now since I got my last DJI drone owning the P4, P4p V1, Mavic Pro and F550 Flamewheel, so do for something new. It was a toss up for ordering Skydio 2 vs Mavic 2 pro but since portability is not that big of a deal for me, I could not see the advantage of M2P over P4P for the cost of ownership which includes new batteries, filters, etc... Stay healthy Ron. I think you are in NJ? growing hot zone for the virus?

    • @RonaldBrown59
      @RonaldBrown59 4 роки тому +1

      @@AddyOverbeeke I agree, I don't think we will see DJI release anything until the virus has peaked here in the US. And since more and more states are asking people to say inside, there really is no need to purchase a camera drone at the point anyways. So most people can wait to see if DJI does release anything new. And I know your stuck in a tough position if Skydio wants you to complete your order during the lockdown. And yes I'm in NJ, and we're number in virus cases. Most of them are in north Jersey, right across the water from NYC. But we do have two confirmed cases on our island now. Stay safe and virus free,

    I don't fully understand what is all this fuss that the drone genareate more noise, because you don't really use the sound from your drone camera. Does it even record the sound? I think I would cut the sound or mute in post production and use an ambient music track instead or voice over. The only reason I think that it matters is that it can bring an unwanted attention. For example if you try to fly low above animals that graze on a puster (specialy wild animals like deers) and you don't want to scare them off.

    • @readysetdrone
      @readysetdrone  3 роки тому

      Most drones don't record sound. The noise factor is more of the second thing you mentioned. Not wanting to draw attention or scare away animals etc.
