If you're gonna get a cheap kicker like that, make sure you go and replace all your stock speakers with the same size kickers too. It will improve the overall quality an incredible amount. I have the front speakers as kickers and the back are Sony. Kickers in the front outshine the factory speakers and the Sony speakers. Kickers are definitely my favorite. I should've ordered them for the rear but now I'm thinking I should also order one or 2 of those subs. I am gonna go for a full install kit though because when you go with one brand, my experience, you want the whole system to stick with one brand including the amp. If you ever sell your car or your speaker system, it'll be worth a whole lot more if it ain't mixed up.

Agreed. I'm adding this sub to my setup in my Jeep. Right now I got kicker 6.5s with bass blockers on the head unit in the front doors and I got 4 kicker 6x9s in the back (2 in the quarter panels and 2 in boxes) wired for 2 ohm to a 1000w amp. Swapping in a Rockville 3200w 4ch (6x9s on 1&2 and the sub bridged on 3&4) when the sub comes in
I've got a very similar setup. It's a kicker TC10 with the kicker 11DX250.1. It's an incredible setup for like, under 200 i think is what I paid for it back in 09. Best setup for the price imo.

Side note: I drive a Honda Civic which is a small car so the 10 inch sub was adequate for the car's size. If you drive something bigger (SUV, truck, etc) I suggest getting a 12 inch or bigger. Yes, but you must have a car amp and a 12 volt power supply, because if you connect it directly to your home system the subwoofer could slowly damage your home receiver since the ohms do not match
Does it fit under the back seat with the seat down? I have a similar box with a pioneer under my GMC Sierra backseat. I just know Kicker is way better at bass.
What kind of amp you got? I have two 10s and when I first tried them out I was extremely underwhelmed, the quality of the bass is good but it was not nearly as loud as I was expecting, my buddy only has one 10 and it’s about 6 times louder than mine, I don’t know what the problem is.
A million things could go wrong.... 1. to what ohm did you finally wire them? It too high, they might not be getting the correct wattage. 2. Was your gain adjusted properly? 3. To what frequency is your crossover set at the amp. ....

I love the placing of where the sounds come from when I'm in a car with a good system. I feel like im sandwiched in between the bass and treble the bass comes from behind and gives the boom in the chest and the treble coming from in front for the clarity and subtleties.

2 10s will be louder and VERY punchy. But 1 12 will be very deep and rumbley. I highly suggest 2 10s is you have the space.... but 1 12 will still sound great.
I jus bought 2 these for under my back truck seat (should clear as stock) and the kicker CX 1200.1 Amp has about double the power the subs need but I think that will kick.
