Nice job! The piles of trees at the bottom are debris from the new Algonquin slide (Hurricane Irene, 2011), the one clearly visible over to your left as you climb the Airplane. The debris actually diverted the brook from its original course, which is what you were following just before you hit them.
If you’re a subscriber, just you wait to some of the future content I have in my queue. It only gets harder and deeper into the thick of it and much much steeper
I climbed it, last September. Right after I went atop Algonquin. In my opinion, Wright offers the better view, out of the two summits, even though it's lower. It was in the middle of the week and I was all by myself on top of Wright peak.
Thanks man, I’m going to be trying to document thoroughly all the slides I could possibly get my hands on. Three in the queue already. Every two weeks will be a New Slide Climbing video in the park
I forgot this video went live at 3 o’clock today lol. I love this one. This is cool. But believe it or not the next few I have in my queue are even better. Oh if you’re into slides you got a treat coming
Epic! Nicely filmed, you’re so hardcore I’m half expecting to see a climb of Big Slide’s slide lol…hey I can’t think of anyone who’s done it (MudRat?).
I have a lot more research to do. But I’m using his list of slides he has climbed to give guidance. Looking at different ones every week haven’t looked at the whole picture yet but using him as guidance to plan the next ones. Lots of research to do
Serious question, I loved the video, but I often see you reminding people to stay off the alpine vegetation on the summits, what do you do to balance the summit Bushwack with the alpine vegetation conservation?
The stuff I am walking on is not the fragile alpine vegetation. I’m simply only walking through the spruce. When the fragile alpine vegetation is around I am rock hopping around it to avoid it.
It’s very easy to identify. It’s pretty much all of the vegetation that grows on a bald summit outside of tree line. And there’s always enough rocks to hop around so It’s very easy to avoid in my opinion
Thanks for watching. Not sure if you’re a subscriber or not, but I have a slide climbing playlist and I’ve been documenting all the landslides in the Adirondacks with lots of thorough footage.
Well there was airplane wreckage on the specific hike but I opted not to film it. Off the top of my tired brain in the Adirondacks I’m really only thinking Marshall and Wright
Alittle spooky. A lot of fun. I enjoyed the summit audio. Put the adventure in perspective.
The audio of our voices? Lol
@@BrianHikesAllDay the heavy wind. I liked that
I love the sound of heavy wind.. I love the feel of heavy wind!! I love the blowing force of heavy wind!!!
Just did this exact hike a week before this vid. Definitely a fun one!

Thank you for that!
Beautiful scenery. That is some hardcore hiking right there.

"There's a fork in the drainage". ...I got a kick out of that remark.
Lmao 🤣
17:51 that excitement in your face haha I can’t wait yooooooo
Just whatever you do, don’t plan slide climbs unless the slides are dry
@@BrianHikesAllDay yes slide master the day I’m going weather shows three days of no rain before and if it’s to wet I turn around

I've been looking to both ski and climb this slide haha, great video documenting it!

Love the video! Crazy steep but the views of the surrounding Adirondacks are amazing!
Looking at Mount Colden is one of the most beautiful mountains because of all the beautiful slides all over it!
that was sick! i was up on wright about a week ago and it was amazing

How'd I get up there first hahaha. Slides=calf killer
You musta took the happy trail up! 😂
What shoes do you wear to slide climb? Are they scrambling shoes or just trail runners?
Just trail runners! All my slide climbing content is in the Altra Lone Peak 6’s
Thanks!@@BrianHikesAllDay

This is legitness
Oh man, you have no flipping idea how much crazier the next few are gonna get.. makes this one look flat
How many airplanes crashes have you found in the Adirondack mountains
