@@nielsvandenberg9022this guy has clearly never played the first game. There was an automaton boss that was a bigass robot with a tank as it's leg, it had grenade launcher arms and was an absolute unit. Multiple hellbombs wouldn't be able to kill it

Yep. There are tons of other fancy things you can do but if you just want to get them dead with minimum difficulty from the next zip code over, laser is king.

@@Thickimus_Dank nah, even at difficuty 10 my orbital lasers are exclusively for striders. what else would i use them on? outposts? thats what the 380 is for. tanks? thermite or recoilless. hulks? AMR.
@@bryanthornburg8636imo the 120mm is better then the 380 less cool-down but more efective to clean medium and light outposts and bunkers cuz has more precision a radium of 50 mt for begging exactly(I usually do operations in solitary)
@ the 120 just lacks the firepower of the 380. The 380 can take out key objectives that the 120 cant. You can take out more enemies in the base with the 380 IMO. The goal isn’t to completely take the base out, but to soften it up to then run in and take it out yourself.
Jumping on it’s back and using grenades is the most Ricopilled tactic I’ve ever heard

Hope more divers learn about the Striders weakspots, especially the one on it´s belly. Got called a hacker and then kicked, because I took one out with my AC XD

This is why I don’t help lower level players. Even on level 9 I still get the occasional hacking accusation because of my high scores 😂
@@crackededge9351seriously, i had 800+ kills in one game and my teammate was accusing me of hacking. He couldn't understand why I had 4x his kills when I had a HMG and mob clear stratagems, and he had anti-armor gear 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️

Use a spear, take down the cannon back.
Use medium armor pen guns to destroy the two front laser cannon.
You can now ignore it as its been effectively nurtured. Yes it will still produce devastators, but either you can run away and it won't matter because the devs won't chase you, or you are camping an objective or extract, and which case you are probably already swarmed with devs
For future reference: The word you're looking for "neutered". Nurture on the other hand, means "to carefully help & oversee the growth of something, to cultivate"

Factory Striders are basically a mix between the Mammoth MK2/Mastodon And an AT-AT or AT-M6.

@@alexandercaires5921 That's because we're currently a dying (or barely floating) breed, our franchise is a soulless husk propped up by EA's greed and the last proper installment in the franchise, not counting Generals 2 which never actually released, was Tiberian Twilight and THAT was originally supposed to be a spinoff for Asian markets.
Sorry for rambling but the state the Command and Conquer franchise is in is a rather sorry one.

Another one I found is a recoilless shot (and maybe quasar idk haven’t tested) to the side of head can one shot the strider somewhat consistently. If it doesn’t, then it’s very low on hp and can be finished off with another shot or a hit from any other heavy hitting support weapon/stratagem.

Also, Orbital Precision Strike one shots on a direct hit. Then again, it one shots just about everything.

This is false, you hit an already damaged Strider. Striders have more health than the precision strike or even railcannon strike deals.

You forgot to mention 2 important things;
The strider can be made practically defenseless by destroying its weapons. The cannon on the back takes 2 rockets of any type, and the chin guns each take one rocket a piece.
On top of that, the HMG emplacement may seem like a poor choice but a short volley into the eye on this oversized bot also takes it out
You can also use eagle airstrike if you're flanking them.
My ez take down method with AC or AMR if you prefer is to:
1) take out those mgs first!!
2) if at a distance aim for the eye, AC will knock it out in 6 shots
3) alternatively if close just magdump the belly doors! Even if closed.
Pro-tip: the Jar can belly kill the strider doors closed and all in 1-2 mags just make sure to take out the mgs first as always.
i don't know if its updated, but the separate belly doors each has their own HP, so to kill it faster you should shoot through only 1 side of the doors, don't alternate between them.
these days, i just shoot 2 recoilless shot to the head from afar, guaranteed kill
one shot near the eye with the recoilless instantly takes it down
Before I played hell divers too I played a game called generation zero in which the biggest machines required you to target specific components to make it easier to take them down.
playing against my first factory Strider was a breeze because I used the same patterns To defeat a factory strider as I would with a tank or harvester
Target the weapons, target the armor then the internal components. It Did not stand a chance.
I know generation zero, i wanted to play it, was free on ps plus months ago, but i''m playing so many differebt games lately

For component specific machine hunting, my go to recommendation has to be Horizon Zero Dawn. The enemies seem intimidating at first... until you learn how they operate, and how best to counter. Also as you getter weapons. That artillery T-Rex? Yeah, way less of a problem than those salvage vultures at higher levels.

there's a small part on the front of the head where you can penetrate the armor, great for when you have an HMG turret on higher ground as you can shred the turrets before doing damage there.
The weakspot is that horizontal line on the top half of the 'face'
better yet, 2 RR shots to the head will ALWAYS kill a FS. Any weapon with (minimum) medium AP can kill a strider if directed towards the belly (note: different weapons do different amounts of dmg, so results will vary). Additionally -with enough ordinance - a strider can be destroyed by destroying one of its legs (not to be recommended, have yet to actually find a consistant way to do this, previous methods are to be prefered).
Pro tip, if you got a good angle, Laser Cannon can slice off its gatling guns and VASTLY reduce its lethality
When you blow up the turrets on a factory strider, it becomes a giant robot camel that just walks around. Was funny to walk around with it, but we had to destroy still.
so i played with Spear lately and it takes me like two to three spear shots to destroy the fabricator strider, one when you target the turret on top and one to two to the head/center mass (depending from which side you are looking at it with the spear)

The current fastest way of taking down this hulking beast is to fire all four commando rockets at its weak belly. The commandos blistering fast fire rate will ensure that the strider is down in the literal blink of an eye. Helldivers might consider turning off the tracking feature of they find it challenging to hit all four rockets.

Yes u can also take out a sigle leg by hitting its shoulder joints with 2-4 EAT-17s. Not sure why its that inconsistent however.
one time i was fighting one that was low so i landed on it, called in an SOS and resupply beacon then i managed to democracy dive onto a conveniently placed mountain and the thing blew up just as i jumped on it, literally some attack on titan type of stuff

I’ve been using the anti-tank emplacement. Fired at the cannon on top, destroyed, then hit the face turrets. With no long-range weapons, it’s a sitting duck that can only walk toward you
Someone i wanted to share.
I wish they added something like new types of helldivers or a class system. One idea would be to have a spy/scout class. That class would have its own missions and it would be way more dangerous because they will trying to infiltrate the enemy base, get information and inform HQ, but there's a twist, the information can be hacked or intercepted sometimes. When that happens you have to escape if you can or call reinforcements, and that would turn into a mission for the other class (the regular one). And because it's one of the enemy bases, there will be A LOT more enemies, but the helldivers will get a buff or smth to make the mission a little easier. When the mission is complete there'll be a little cut scene showing the helldivers rescuing the hellscouts (just a name i thought would sound cool for the other class, plz don't flame me for it😅) and bringing them back to the ship, something similar to C.O.D after u win.

The overall tactics for defeating strider is to get rid of machine guns under its head then go underneath it and deal damage to its hatch. I’m a laser guy and can say that 1.5-2 ice is usually enough to bring it down. Remember, get the machine guns first, they are responsible for majority of strider kills. Hulks get damage from laser too, so yea, I’m just promoting laser cannon here ^o^. Yea, also, try carrying guard dog with you, it’s got medium penetration and aims for head, so allows you to concentrate on heavier infantry while rushing the objective.
To this day, I still panic evetytime a ship drops this thing near me lol
When I see those things I use the orbital laser, it always works for me.
2 recoilless rockets usually do it for me. One to get the cannon up to, second shot is in the lower face where the turrets are. Idk why, but they fold when that happens.

Ok another thing i wanna share😅
What if the devs add something to the game that no one will be aware of? Something like, if you kill your fellow helldivers a certain amount of times, you get some sort of solo mission during the mission your doing to come to a certain location. When you arrive you a small building with barely any enemies around but no matter how close you get they won't shoot you, even after you kill a few. You enter the building, there's a computer you search it and it gives you a choice, join the creek, or decline and escape the area. If you join the creek, it'll show your team that you died, plus they can't bring you back or contact you over the coms. Then you'll get taken to be turned into a creek soldier and have to fight your old comrades. If you decline tho, you'll have to leave before the building explodes and fight the enemies that will appear to escape the area back to your comrades.
It's probably lame but i just wanted to share this😁

since this is a bit outdated
after the big balance pass you can just toss a bunch of missles at it and it will go down pretty fast.
usually if im having to solo all it takes is me going under it with a recoilless and the second the hatch opens blasting it and it dies instantly.
if you can do that, you can do a strafing run over the top to expose the sides and ~2 exposable anti tanks will deal with it.
every difficulty has the same strider, your main foes are going to be the units it deploys and the cannon on top rather then the strider itself.

Looks like Automatons learnt much from their distant neighbours, the galactic empire
Use the new anti tank cannon, it’s incredibly good against the Bots. Place it in a strategic position where you can see multiple targets, striders, basses ect, placing it immediately when a heavy enemy comes is a waist of the cannon
Also, the spot on the facw between the panels, where the "eye" is is medium armor. A lazer cannon works amazing against it.
The knee joints on the back of its leg also seem to have some effect if you can hit them with the sniper if you’re accurate enough.
A single cycle of the orbital laser is usually enough too, but I haven't ever tried that by myself.
as a mg43 fan, i primarily use autocannon and mortar sentries to cover my AP shortfalls

My dumbass got to a strider under prepared, had to take him down with Eagle Strafing runs and orbital gatling barrages. It took 3-4 barrages and 5 or 6 strafes, but I took that mf down while all his little soldiers tried to save him. I just fought harder, and I know that strider was pissed with his allies incompetence.
I love factory striders, not only cuz they look like AT ATs from star wars but it's also fun to kill in 1 rocket of the recoiless rifle, if you manage to hit the red eye on it's face it will one shot it.
weird how the fact that hitting the red eye with a recoilless rifle instakills it got overlooked
for every helldiver with a talent for precision with recoiless rocket launcher or the railgun. blasting that tiny light or eye or whatever you wanna call it on the front of the head of a strider can instantly bring it down. but you gotta be precise
I can't wait to bring home the remains of one of these things! I would love to see what other uses we could make of a factory stider! Maybe a new turret? Some new machinery? I can just imagine the possibilities!

As per most sci-fi mediums, when a mech enters the battlefield, it becomes everyone's target and you toss whatever big guns you have at it to take it down. Because if you don't, it can and will ruin your day.
My choice is the orbital laser, which I bring specifically for striders or if shit is becoming really dicey.
First at all is the cannon on the back, it shoots fast 3 times every 10 seconds and can one-shoot you, second is machinguns on face, after kill it how you want. I love to request 380 or 500 kg, but autocannon sentry do job as well, even is machingun on the face is still works

LOTS of 500kg, orbital strikes and EATs.
I usually just shoot the cannon off, then throughout the game take potshots and throw strategems at it
If you shoot its leg three times with the quasar cannon it gets crippled and blows itself up
Orbital Laser is my go to on this one works pretty well
I’ve find that 2 recoiless to the face usually does the job
If you have a laser cannon, a couple of seconds of fire will take out the front 2 turrets. You can then move in close and another 5 seconds of fire to the belly door will destroy it
Additionally, you can kill it with 1 AMR magazine by shooting at the eye, which is surprisingly easy to do.
Also when it is dropping devastators a little "vent" opens in its back (I call it, the strider's ahole) which can be damaged with impacts, I haven't tested it with a full health strider yet but It seems that 2 EATs here will kill it.
RR can 1-tap the dog in the glowing red eye if you can shoot the accurate. You can also 1-tap with the RR by shooting the belly. Easier if the doors are closed, since you won't have the chance of a devastator tanking the hit
The helldiver Strider reminds me of the bigger versions of C.L.A.W from CoD Black ops 2.
Imagine a planet where we fight against The illuminate, terminids and the automatons all at the same time
Don’t forget, medium on belly (can be killed with primaries) and medium 2 on eye (can be killed with anything that hurts hulk visors)
If only I heared this when I first tried to take down a spider, that thing survived my orbital strikes and I was so confused!
Dealing with it if its alone is trivial. Dealing with it along with an army of other automatons beside their heavy bunker base is another story.
I hope one day we helldivers get giant mech walkers like the factory striders. They look like if the AT-TE and AT-AT had a baby... It looks like an AT-TE from the silhouette shadows.
laser cannon the miniguns and then its belly works really well. Laser cannon is goated for automatons
I mainly use a recoilless rifle on its main top turret so I can get into position and throw an orbital laser stratagem on its back
You could also use two lasers (if you’re on a team) and it takes it down in like a few seconds!

I usually just use a rocket sentry. If you deploy it at a distance and it properly locks on, you can take it out with one sentry
throw AC sentry at the side, you can place it behind little rock, FS get angry at it and little stun locks or animation cancels.
I fought one right before watching this video, and it was quite the fight! These tactics will certainly help.
i just used the orbital high precision strike twice and it worked quite well
Also something they didn't mention. If you shoot its face cannons off go underneath of it. It's like 15 shots with the heavy machine gun and it dies
The most deadly part is the machine guns of the head. You can’t even run strategy if those things are still going. The cannon. Have a buddy run distraction to movie the turret. Have another buddy in cover draw the machine guns, have another reinforce on the cannon, drop stratagems and run. Boom. Game over.
Man, now I feel dumb. Used to just throw a Orbital Laser and an Eagle stratagem (whichever I have, preferably 500kg bomb) and then attack when either the Quasar cannon (almost never take anything else against bots) or the rare Spear rockets (not preferable because I'm massively addicted to the Jump Pack)
How to deal with factory striders now: ✨️Ultimatum✨️
The Recoilless Rifle can two shot the strider in the head, used the rifle and the first round breaks the armor on the head, and the second one disables it completely.
I carry the recoiless rifle and have found that after taking out both the top and bottom guns it only takes about 1 or two more rockets to the head
Found out the other day that 5 shots from the AMR to the glowing red light on it head will take down the strider. Kind of like the weak spot on hulks
Orbital lazers, and railguns work pretty well on them.
