He wants to live here so instead of us Migrating to JP, my dad prefers to live in PH and be a permanent resident. His favorite fruit is mango too so he's sad and rarely eats mango. Aside from that, he loves Jackfruit too.

I'm from Hawaii, we have two "seasons", sometimes the "season" changes the next day. One is hot and humid, the other season is just hot. My intention was to live in Japan for 3 years to learn the language. I am Japanese American, my parents and my grandparents are also Japanese Americans. I am 4th generation in the US. So, I never grew up speaking Japanese. But I ended up staying in Japan for 20 years and living in Hawaii again, I can't wait to get back to Japan. I will retire in Japan, because of some agreement between Japan and the US, your retirement can be taken out in either country. However, you can't switch it around one you decide. I have two houses, that I've paid off my mortgages. I own them outright, one in Tokyo Japan and one in Honolulu Hawaii. There are some details that you need to sort out before you can do this. You must have worked 25 years and 8 must be in each country. So, if I worked 20 years in Japan I must work for 8 years in the US, 5 years in insufficient to work in the US. I worked in the US before going to Japan, so, I've just completed my 8 years of working in the US. I actually prefer colder weather compared to Mana. I hate hot weather. Only one season that I don't like in Japan is Summer in August, it's hot and humid. So, London is better for me. It's cooler for me. Japan suits me fine. Another point is that I like skiing (dual plank, not snowboarding). In fact I still go to Japan to ski. In the older days, when British pubs closed at 11:30 P.M.with last calls at 11:00 P.M. Brits in Japan absolutely pound beers. In Japan, most bars close at 2:00 A.M. Although in Tokyo, most bars are open until 4:00 A.M. I've even been to a bar which stayed open until the customers have left. I've been to bar at 7:00 P.M. and left at 8:00 A.M. I've been all over the world, except Africa. But mostly Southeast Asia, the Philippines, Australia, Europe and the US. I was making a lot of money working in Japan since I am working in investment banking, and I worked for a Brit investment firm, I was able to afford everywhere. Even in Japan, and not everything is expensive in Japan. We have many people from the Philippines here in Hawai. But over the years, I still prefer Japan and the 20 years I spent in Japan, every tine that I visit somewhere, I always returned to Japan. I can visit some place and still adapt my personality where ever I am. Not to mention that I met my wife there and our children were born there.

Jez, we will welcome you here, and most of the language is derived from the Spanish era, like Como estas, we say Kumusta for how are you, so anyways, should you decide to come and visit, there are places from the Spanish era and some regions that still speaks Spanish like Cebu, Zamboanga and Bacolod, we call them the language of chabacano.

Baguio is a very nice city up in the mountain. Just be careful on the road, it is winding & steep.
